This weekend they have a $25 off for $100+ purchases. You can get their $99 deal for 5Ah and charger starter kit, throw in something else for a dollar, and they let you pick a free tool with that battery starter kit. This 20V band saw is on the list of 13 free tools. So for basically $75, you can get this Band Saw with a 5Ah battery and charger.
Just picked one up. I have all Milwaukee tools but don't use one of these often so I thought I would give it a go. Thank you for your time and information.
I bought mine two days ago. The 2023 Black Friday special they were running made it an easy choice. Buy 2 of their 5ah batteries and they let you pick a tool. I chose this and picked up the blades. I know their 5ah batteries are not their latest high end batteries. So far, very happy with this purchase.
I picked one up the other day so far so good I did hate buying into another battery platform and wish someone would hurry up and make an adapter so I can use my milwaukee batteries
I have strictly Milwaukee tools at work I purchased these for my Business since they’re cheaper and I wanted to keep my Work and business tools separate so far it’s been really good
If their Hercules corded version also had a 5 year warranty I would had gotten that instead. Both said they had the same no load 420 SFPM. I wonder what is really more powerful the corded brushed motor one, or the cordless brushless.
My guess is your application - what are you cutting and for how long. If using all day long, then corded is the way to go, i think. Especially if used in the stand, as a standard so bandsaw. If you need portability, than cordless,
@@rickwoodham4570 I'm just a garage hobbyist welder. I don't do anything seriously enough in volume to warrant a shop band saw or cold chop saw. Time is on my hand and already have an abrasive chop saw. That's why I opted for the cordless. Might be useful to cut metal out in the field or and old barn.
@morenothing4u yeah I'm no expert, but if you are in the Hercules battery line, then is go cordless, for portability. Can't beat their 5 year warranty on the brushless Hercules line - I had issues with my reciprocating saw last month. Walked in store with broken saw & walked out with a new one in less than 5 minutes. Didn't ask why, just exchanged it
A 4x12 stingers gonna be alittle much it’s only a 5x5 opening but that’s how most portabands are. If you Need to chop a stair stinger your best bets a cutoff wheel or my personal preference is a metal cutting circular saw
I'm not getting any luck on Hercules bandsaw blades they are Made in USA they break easy and only using them cutting trimming thin aluminum sheets doing straight cuts only no curve i clean the tool/bearings/ of cuttings all the time using vacuum and brush. .....can you let us know blade life ?
I can definitely update this they’ve been meh at best they’re definitely cheap and they don’t preform as good as I would of hoped for a made in USA product I’m gonna try some other blades
Milwaukee, Dewalt and many others are built in China too. So for the "best bang for the buck," you can't go wrong with Hercules. Besides, if your Dewalt or Milwaukee break down you gotta wait a few weeks to get your tool replaced. If your Hercules breaks down, you simply trade it in at your local HF store. Simple.

It’s been great so far!
I love that harbor freight gunky smell. If they made harbor freight gunk scented candles I would buy them😂

Does yours make a weird clicking sound when the motor stops ?
@@Dj-ve2hx no it hasn’t! It’s been pretty good the factory blade was terrible but otherwise it’s been a really solid unit

Maybe I’ll buy one and give it a go lol 😂

I definitely like the herc line of tools. I’ve been a Milwaukee man most of my life but I’m definitely impressed with em
do you think it has the depth to cut 4x12 stair stringers?

How long does the saw run on a 2.5Ah battery... and it didn't look like it came with a case(?)
Kinda varies I’ve gotten about 30-50 cuts inch smaller material with the 2.5
