I’m not saying you have a defective circular saw, but…
I bought the same saw at its launch with two 5-amp hour batteries. I’ve never had it big down, ever. It’s actually my go-to cordless circ saw (over my DeWalt and Makita). Perhaps you got a defect or I got the golden child. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
The testing was so good it cut the end of the video off
I have that one and love it. Got it to replace a Dewalt and not disappointed at all. Now building a Hercules set of everything. Warranty is a huge plus
Same. Once I saw they were dropping 21700 cells in their XP battery packs, I have been picking up two tools every sale day that I am in town. One IT, one regular coupon. My next few purchases will be the circular saw, heat gun, glue gun, and jig saw if they have one. All those tools that would be handy to lose the cord on.
I have heard that Hercules is OK. So I bought a drill, hammer drill, driver, charger, and two batteries yesterday for 220 bucks. Worth a shot I guess. Lets see what happens.
I have heard Ryobi tools are trash, so I haven't bought any. Hmmm...
There is no orbital cutting on either one of the saws Clint. Read the details on the website. If it had this feature it definitely would say
@@sanfranatic1 I have a LARGE collection of Ryobi 1 tools and I find no fault with any of them. But, I'm just a do it yourself homeowner, I wouldn't expect to use them in the field.
@@postalinVT So I have been lied to? Duped? Could it be?
Ryobi tools are great but the batteries and chargers suck
I'm a righty. About 30 yrs ago I was in the market for a circ saw and zeroed in on the P-C 347. Classic saw, respected and decent price. Then I hear PC has taken the blueprints, flipped them mirror image and made the 743...get it? They flipped the model number, too. I bought the 843, which had the brake. Still have it. It's a beast. Best left blade direct drive circ saw I have used.
Thanks, i was looking for input on their recip saw.
Good reviews, man! That full sized recip saw is nice!
That Skil saw is perfect for Ned Flanders’ left handed store.
As a carpenter with many saws,
right or left don't matter to me.
It only comes in handy to have both on certain cuts.
right-handed here, I like the blade to be on the left but right now all I have is right hand blade saws. the recip action can be a bummer for metal. Not naaas like
I’m right handed and prefer the blade to be on the left side, thus making it a “right handed saw”. 😊
I bought the two hand recip saw two weeks ago and it vibrates the arm so when your done you feel it after
You know, I need to learn to let the videos play out and quit using that pause button.
You said "orbital," and I thought "Self, you handsome devil, WTF is he talking about? I did not know Sawzalls had an orbital function." So I hit pause, went out to the garage, went into the tool closet, opened the T-stack with the "sawzall" label on it and pulled out my saw (you thought I was going to say 'pulled out my tool,' didn't ya?).n I looked that thing up and down, front to back, side to side and...yeah...there is no switch with any "orbital option."
So I put everything away, came back to my computer, sat down and hit play. The next sentence out of your mouth was "Dewalt doesn't put an orbital function on theirs."
Listening for 5 more seconds before going out on a field trip would have saved me the whole experience. I guess I was just too "impatient laak."
Go Clint!
I like left side blade but those tools look like Milwaukee tools with Dewalt Batteries 😮
Great video
Can you please do the cordless Hercules 12 inch double bevel sliding mitrebox? After all of the half inch impact wrench gun videos saying how Hercules made the best one on the market across-the-board, I'm curious as to the chop box.
I useI use the Ryobi not Reeobi cordless 10in and $4$ its amazing but still a bit weak w 6ah batt-ray
I'd really like you to push them to get a left-handed saw
I do custom fine woodworking, but found myself needing a sander that was more aggressive than my finesse sanders. After seeing all the hype surrounding the HF Bauer RO sander, I bought one. That thing shook like a freight train and flung sanding discs in every direction. I tried different manufacturers and different grit discs. Still not good. I finally threw it in the trash after a couple frustrating hours. I had not bought a HF power tool for decades due to their erratic low quality issues. I drove to a local Home Depot, bought a Dewalt sander for $18 more than the Bauer and finished the job easily. Lesson learned, again.
Bauer is more more comparable to hyper tough while hercules is comparable to ryobi and even rigid at times. HF has some good stuff, just gotta know what your buying
Thx. About the only things I buy from HF are rubber mallets and tarps. I'll never buy another power tool. Also, how can anyone know what to buy when UA-camrs are being told what to say. Live and learn.@@LegendaryMike
@@richpeggyfranks490 The true information is available if you keep looking. Ask Jesus to show you what's accurate and you'll see
Damn! Those look real naas like!
As a DIYer getting away with a Milwaukee M12 Fuel recip I want to upgrade. Between the Ridgid BL and Hercules BL full size recip saws, for the price difference which would you recommend my friend?
I'd go with the ridgid over this one brotha
@@ToolReviewZone even if the Hercules with an 8ah Extreme battery was $120?
I still went for the Hercules 2 tool combo for $119 and snagged the 8ah extreme battery and recip saw. I took the saw back and switched it out for the compact impact wrench. That recip shook my teeth out…lol. Best thing is Ridgid finally had a 2 tool combo of the brushless recip saw and oscillating tool for $169 that I just snapped up. That’s less than the recip saw as a bare tool by $20 bucks!
I would really like to know what kind of blade he used on the circular saw? I understand it was a Diablo but what kind?
Carbide wood and metal
@@user-os2io9yj4f thanks. I wanted to get one.
You used the “one-handed” recip with 2 hands. Interesting. 👀
Yea I wouldn't like that either that would just seem awkward to me and it would make me want to use it left handed even though I'm a right handed person, blade has to be on the left and anyone who is right handed will tell you the same thing. I could see a lefty liking this though. I could learn to live with this though if the price was right because I can be partially ambidextrous if I try hard enough
Can confirm. I am a lefty with the Hercules brushed circular saw. It still has the blade on the left but I love it more than any circular saw I have ever used. The safety is so easy for me to operate too. It has well-designed ambidextrous features
Gave the 100th like on this video mama! Thanks for video!
Blade left! I'll use a blade right saw, but I'll be grumpy all day.
Update: So I went and bought the full size recip saw & 8ah extreme performance battery for $120 last week (their current buy 2 select tools deal)
I remove home heating oil tanks for a living. Which requires them to be cut open safely. My boss provides corded "red sawzall" but I've been trying out the Hercules. I have to say I'm quite impressed so far. Actually seems to cut a bit faster, the Hercules metal 14 tpi blades last a lot longer than the "red" guys do.
As far as the vibration goes, I can't really tell the difference between the 2, to be honest. When you're cutting steel with a recip saw for few hours everyday, you just get used to it I guess
Always RIGHT!
That's a knock off of the Milwaukee. The giveaway is rafter hook. The hackable is also a copy of the Milwaukee.
Yes even where it says brushless and I believe the type. Lol
I'm Stanley Black and Decker make these tools the batteries are almost identical to dewalt all you have to open the battery and move the negative to the positive and positive to the negative and it will work on the dewalt and the rafter hook is the same as the dewalt
You got the Diablo saw blade mounted wrong
No...I don't actually 🙄
Yup left side
Left side.
Makita looking good lol
I want to know why your not going with vince?
The drills and impacts are real nas like those saws not soo nas like!
Yeah i am a fan of the one handed saw thing I do use them a heck of a lot some thing to note is it will work it's best will quality blades no more questions to answers there and in this world of nock offs buyers beware not a big fan of horror frite if one looks one can find something else amazing these days Amazon for consumables and I did find a Milwaukee nock off and batteries stuff does the job at a better price and the question of quality is at best reasonable
Now I ain't gonna out right basm and smash here horror frite has been trying to step it up need to do more work on that I think 🤔
Yeah they work nice new...from my experience and research they're cheaper made and don't hold up long even under normal use.
D A Blow blade......
Harbor freight is like the middle school bully that copie sfrom everyone else's homework
I will NEVER have buy a right sided saw again
I keep mine on a kreg rip guide
The amp hour of the battery has nothing to do with giving the tool more power it will only increase run time
Coulda used harbor freight blades to improve cutting. It’s ok if your a Diablo fanboy! There’s better quality for cheaper widely available.
Right handed... want blade on the right
Lefty saw.
Why did you stop abruptly?
I didn't, the saw couldn't handle it and stopped itself
Look like DeWalt is manufacturing them.
Please secure you work piece better. It looks tool is making soo much vibration
Harbor Freight ??? Need some more work???
sure ...cut through it all there didn't you lol
dont know why all the hype with all the new hercules tools they are not much cheaper than established brands and from my exsperiences this is what you get and not counting most importantant to me not holding up an lasting near as long!!
Very disappointing with that 8ah since it uses 21700 batteries.
Nothing wrong with the tools or the battery I have the same tool and battery. I use the Diablo blade too. Nothing wrong with the tool just the guy running it you can hear it bind his works not secured. Too much vibration.
D A Blo??? it's pronounced D Ablo, As in El Diablo.. You know, spanish for The Devil....
Sorry, son, but we speak ‘Murican round heeah!
@@tobytootimes7639 ahhh, first time watching, I shoulda known. Them blades cut like a hot knife in butter, until you hit one of them nails. loose a tooth every time
🤣🤣🤣👊
Let the equipment do the work FFS…. You rackin on them back and forth trying to help things along makes a sloppy process and a truly poor review… just hold things flush to the cutting surface and go with it !
