I watch Stacey David's gearz on TV. I use a DVR nowadays 😀. He still does great work but lot of the work get sent out to trade schools and businesses. He used to do just about all the work himself, well besides paint.
One of the biggest reasons as to why I love PowerNation, full episodes uploaded both new and old. After motortrend stopped uploading full episodes on UA-cam there was a big hole to fill and while I understand why they did it it still sucked but now I have this and I'm happy
I thought I was imagining things the other day when an upload talked about the "new 1999 Chevy trailblazer" thought I'd fell asleep in a time machine lol. that being said these are fun to watch and I wonder where the 2 hosts are.
Stacy David started the show Trucks long before the PowerNation. He had the show for several years and built amazing trucks but when the production company was bought by Spike the lawyers wouldn't let him build his highly modified creations so he left and started Gearz.
even the power nation tv website doesn't have air dates. it does show this as season 1 episode 3. so...., according to imdb, season 1 episode 3 aired on Jan 16 1999. yea, It would be nice if powernationtv would post the air date.

These kits arnt too bad but if your around Iowa just come by Futureline and get a flatbed or dump bed with a good hoist installed there. I've done one of these on a Dodge and it was alright but the ones we do at Futureline are a bit more refined.
I’d like to know one thing and that’s where in this world has that Chevy been stored all these years? I’ve never once seen a Chevy pickup with that non rusted a rear frame! Holy wow is that clean back there for a Chevy. Every Chevy I’ve seen has rotted cross members , tank supports, shackle supports or rear tail lights wells rotted. She must have had a great garage life.
Dump trucks need a dually wheel arrangement in the rear axle because of the heavy payloads. And there are entry level light duallies available in GM,Ford, and other US trucks that would be good for this conversion.
They show it dumping dirt with the bumper pivoting with the bed. So the bumper isn't really attached to the frame as per the video? Or am I missing something?
Regular 1988 pickup with its original bed to a dump truck is ridiculous. Unless you change the bed to a dump truck bed hauler. That truck is useless 😒. You guy do way better thought processing than that guys. I love your work but you earned this" COME ON MAN!!!"..🤔
Back then it was actually modification you could actually do now these new shows you need an mechanical engineering degree. I miss the old simple mans shoe not the technical new shows.
That's why stacey david left and started gearz, he wanted to show people how to do things at home without a plasma cutter, a lift, a rotisserie, etc. But all the producers cared about was ratings and they thought ratings meant having 30k in the bank to order an entire new car's worth of parts from Jegs catalog and LMC
4:30 What's this guys name he went on to be an actor he is on Rob Zombies Halloween 2007 Remake he is the news reporter he shows up after young Michael Myers kills his sister.

Yeah, Mel Fair actually went on to play the role of Nancy Botwin's brother-in-law on the show "Weeds"
Had forgotten about “Sideshow Mel”
So funny watching Stacey interact with someone with his scripted lines...
Looks better than my vhs quality I taped this off tv back in 98 or 99
Thanks UA-cam
I’m looking forward to seeing that locker installation video
I have that same exact model truck. It ain't the fastest truck out there but she sure is beautiful and still turns heads.
Should add air date for these older episodes I love the old ones
If you teach yourself roman numerals you'll be able to tell the year at the end of the show.

does this also work with a Stepside c1500?
