I watched the video with the tranny swap and went looking for the next one and couldn’t find it till this AM. Nice turbo install, can’t decide whether I want to go pro charge or turbo charge. You guys might have helped me make my mind up!

Haha, my son Ian put a couple on the rear window of my new Duramax 2 days. I seen him in the back of my truck and asked him what he was doing. He was like, adding some more horsepower to the new Dirtymax.
I had some ass hat smash the rear window out on my 08 dually back in April of 2017 because I had one of those big transparent Trump Pence vinyl's that covers the entire window. I wish I would have caught the snowflake who did it.
My suggestion is replace the oil pickup tube o ring when the pans off
And make a bracket to utilize the second bolt hole for the pickup.
Just did the oring last weekend, took 3 days on my 2500 and was a nightmare.

Just did this same setup on my 2010 Sierra . We were able to get 492 HP Max . Swapped out the K&N intake for a Corsa coupled with a Corsa exhaust. Now up to 512! Thanks for the vids man keep em coming!

I agree. It would be smarter to just buy a Chevy 6.2 liter v8 in the first place making about the same power and no annoying waste gate sounds. Lol The 6.2would be less expensive more reliable and you would get better fuel economy.

That 5.3 pushing 498whp is around 150+whp more than a stock 6.2.
There is absolutely no comparison, the turbo is an incredible upgrade to any motor.

Probably because with the way the truck is set up now it isn't going to hook anyway. 400 more hp would just be a waste unless you spend all day everyday doing burnouts.

That blow off valve is in the wrong place. It should be near the throttle body to remove the pressure at the throttle blade just like you just described. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. This is pathetic who’s scripting this show. It’s ridiculous

@@b18c5integra I don't think you understand how things work.... If there is a 10psi spring in the waste gate, it will hold till 10psi. A boost controller simply limits the amount of vacuum to the waste gate to keep it from opening till a higher boost level. It doesn't lower the boost level lower than the spring in the waste gate.
b18c5integra boost controllers can only increase boost over spring pressure, not open the wastegate anytime.
Better idea is to buy a summit racing LS 5.3 or hell just get a 6.0 and turbo charge that instead you'll get over 700hp and definitely last a lot longer since it's a brand new motor not used

Alot of states dont do smog testing. Theyre in one of the ones that dont smog test

Its 2wd, ground clearance and load in not a concern for this build. Almost all 2wd are much lower from factory vs 4x4s. So they already have 2 big disadvantages. So why not slam it and make it fast👍

@@bigboreracing356 hahah. It flattened out at 7550 so set the shifts at 7300 and It ran it's fastest pass. Grocery store runs are at 7000. Tow haul is set at 7300 for fun.

What’s the cost? Parts and labor
426 on base tune is not bad, 10lbs of boost puts that truck a little over 500hp, might have to start looking into a turbo for my Escalade, I’m running 470ish hp with a stage 2 Texas speed cam, really thinking a good turbo on it will push it close to my mark of 600hp with stock bottom end in my 6.0L LS. Plus I’ve gotta fill the gap in hp that the new transmission can hold, I mean I didn’t spend 5 grand on it for nothing am I right? Lol
