Hi Kimberly 😊 I was really looking forward to seeing your new video. I have finished the book two weeks ago, pretty much been waiting ever since. I knew you were going to be mad about the pet death that happened and that it will strongly affect your reading experience, that really wasn’t necessary, you are definitely right about that. I kind of was hoping you would enjoy it more, but I do understand you have already read many books in this genre.
I have really enjoyed the book, this is one of those books that takes me back to my childhood and reminds me why I love reading so much. It felt very young in writing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
At the age of twelve I fell in love with Agatha Christie novels and that has strongly affected my reading taste and got me into reading. This one just reminds me of that time in life, I don’t get that very often so I am happy I read this book. It was entertaining and wholesome so it is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

I started it on March 14 and finished it on the 15th. It was a quick read which I appreciated. I did enjoy the book because she threw so many different pieces to the puzzle and made you question if you are right thinking a certain way.
I had jotted a few things down to try and keep some characters straight. The very first person I wrote down was Cara’s father Mr. Ward who was a History teacher at their school. When it was mentioned that Andie was seeing an older man and that he tutored 3x a week it sounded like that gave him a window to do things without his kids knowing.
Then I was questioning Naomi because she knew Pip was going camping and not many people knew that and Naomi could have put that note in sleeping bag. Did she lie about the night Andie went missing? 🤔
I started to think maybe her father Jason had something to do with it because he was sketchy. So I had Mr. Ward, Naomi, and Jason Bell. Then I started to think the secret older guy was Dan Desilva because he was a cop who could have messed with evidence and swore that Sal was guilty without looking at anyone else. That was sus 🤨
I also started to question if Andie really was dead because everyone kept stating it as fact when they never found a body. So with the drugs being mentioned I thought maybe after Sal found out about it, they fought she killed him by accident and just pinned her murder on him so she could take off and not have anyone looking for her believing she was dead abs there wasn’t a body found.
After Pip got that threatening note in her locker I was like… Mr Ward could have slipped that in her locker while she was in class.
There were so many people with dirt on their hands. In the end I was partially correct about Mr. Ward, but wasn’t suspicious of her sister. I was annoyed with the dog dying. Why do that? In all, it was a quick read. It made me think and suspicious of many people so it kept me entertained. I’m not super interested in reading the other books in the series so this will most likely be a one and done for me.
Ps… I changed my name on here because of some weirdo that was giving me grief.

I was wondering about the name change! Some people are so rude. Don't let it get to you.
You basically figured out a ton of the plot reading through your thought process lol. You got way closer than I did at guessing what happened, but I'm glad you also immediately were suspicious of the teacher. I feel like that was a super obvious twist.
I definitely am not continuing the series. I thought I might, but as time has gone on, I have like no desire to read them at all so I'm on the same page as you there.

I really enjoyed the book. It was a fun ride and I did think the ending was a little convoluted but I figure it was a set up for the next two books.

I was so excited for this book but was so disappointed. This is the second book Meg loves that I just didn’t the other one was the strange case of the alchemist daughter I think we just have different taste. I gave it a three too. I’m also hated how dumb the sister was why did she try to kill Pippa so stupid hated Andie she was a birch to her sister.

Okay I'm so glad I wasn't totally alone in feeling that this wasn't that great. It was just such a mediocre YA book that I don't get the craze.

@@chriswildfire Depends on kind of what you're looking for. "You" has some super graphic sexual scenes. Caraval is much more kid friendly.
