The Invocations sounds fantastic, and I can't wait to read it.
I'm glad you read the Horror Movie book and confirmed it's not worth reading. I saw it and wasn't crazy about the synopsis, plus the cover looks very similar to Home Is Where the Bodies Are but that Special Edition looking just like a VHS Tape is awesome. I enjoyed The Invocations although it wasn't quite what I expected. I DNF What Moves the Dead so I didn't read that novella. I might try to read it again at some point but I was just bored out of my mind when I read it. I didn't add Bless Your Heart to my TBR because the synopsis didn't appeal to me. I just finished the ARC for A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher and I enjoyed it more than the few other books I've read by that author. It was a dark fairytale retelling of a story I never read so I didn't have expectations of how it would go. I was pumped that it was available in audiobook for the ARC because I get through those faster than physically reading a book. Have you requested that book from NetGalley? It's probably still available since the book doesn't come out until August. There aren't a ton of horror books that come to mind that are mind blowing good. I know you hate Stephen King, but Misery and Dr. Sleep are pretty good.
That breaks my heart that you DNFed What Moves the Dead. But also I totally understand. It's a very different type of writing style and plot.
I'm just going to wait for A Sorceress to Call to come out because I know I'm just going to buy it anyway. I have so many net galley books I need to catch up on so I've stopped really requesting things.
I have Misery and I just keep staring at it so I'll eventually get to it 😆

My big problem with any horror book I attempt is that it's just sad, not scary, and I end up being disappointed.
Okay so you should try The Invocations because it's more of a happily ever after type of ending. Also, I would suggest looking into YA Horror because they tend to end fine compared to adult horror. It's why I love YA horror so much
@@kimberlyreads I dont mind bad ending. I just always start reading expecting to get scared or at least worried about the characters. And I usually just end up thinking: "oh, that's sad they ended that way"

Aww thanks! I hope you end up enjoying Malice House. What Feats at Night was such a sad letdown, but I still want a third novella because I love the main character and the world.
I felt very similarly about the T. Kingfisher. Not nearly as creepy as the first book and felt so meandering! I will keep reading if she writes more in the series though as I love the world!

Great to see you in a new video. Not giving any spoilers but definitely look out for the new Evernight box coming, it ticks the horror genre more than a lot of books although I did really enjoy Invocations and it met the expectations I had really very well.
So I definitely skipped the next Evernight box because I literally CANNOT with eyeballs 🤣🤣

I loved the Bless your heart updates :D. First update was ok and then the next clip: it's a one star. I was like: oh, that escalated fast :D:D But hearing how many POVs that book had... i'm not surprised about that one star. That thing alone would annoy me.
I'm a bit sad about the Horror story, because it sounded interesting. And i don't read horror. I was considering to try that book because it sounded intersting. But i will not try.

I would definitely look at other peoples reviews of Horror Movie because some people seem to really like it. It seems like it's good if you really like Paul Tremblay so you can always look into that
Have you read Anna Dressed in Blood? It felt like a Supernatural episode to me so if you like the show then you might like it. I'm trying to think of more but horror isn't really my genre. If I think of any others I'll pass them on. I like these types of vlogs. You do really well with sharing your thoughts while not spoiling the story.
Yes I've read it! I actually really enjoyed it, but I didn't really like the sequel sadly.

So it’s an IKEA home entertainment system. It comes with a tv stand too, but when we moved, we decided to just use the bookshelves. So you should be able to find them at IKEA
