Every book pick I already planned to read at some point so it helps to get me to read them sooner than later. I tend to read more fantasy than other genres, but I do enjoy some thriller/horror too. Having those thrown in the mix was good. I don’t tend to pick up romance books, especially contemporary. The covers for some of them give me the ick. 🤢I’m not a fan of cartoonish illustration of couples on the cover like Ice Breaker and the Love Hypothesis. It makes it seem like a kids book when they aren’t. The first thing I judge a book by is the cover and if it’s a turn off I won’t even read the synopsis. Dark romance however has that edge that makes them more interesting. I do like a morally gray character.😈 I plowed through The Ravenhood Series last week and loved it. I requested the ARC for Middle of the Night and fully expect them to laugh in my face and deny it 🚫. The small fish tend to not get the worm 🐛 Since I don’t have a huge following I understand it but it’s totally frustrating. I’m starting The Familiar today.

I love the romance covers, but often hate what's inside of the book so I just tend avoid them except for the random few. I asked for a NetGalley of Middle of the Night too and haven't gotten a response either 😆
I'm excited about Fate inked in blood. I have that book so now i will have a reason to read it sooner :). I think i will try april book too. I've only tried to read one of her books - Six of crows. Did not like it. But this one sounds different, so i could try it. If i don't like it, i can always DNF it and just watch your video :D:D:D I will be skiping The raven boys. I tried to read it. Did not like it. I liked some of the characters, but one of the main characters annoyed me and i just knew i'm not capable of reading the whole book (or series) with character that annoys me so much. But i will watch your video about that book. Just out of curiosity to know what you think. My best friend loves that series. So i think it's just hit or miss.
Six of Crows is definitely going to be toooootally different. The Familiar seems way different than anything she's done before so hopefully you end up liking it if you try it out! I am both excited and terrified to read The Raven Boys since it has such a big hype, but I'm glad there are some people out there that dont like it just in case I dont either haha
