    The quest marker is on Jemison. The planet just happens to be behind the moon. As the moon spins, you will notice the marker moving across the sky.

      Oh, ha! That's funny. Still kind of strange that it wouldn't be on my ship.

    When you are in your inventory, go to your helmet or spacesuit. At the bottom you can toggle to show or hide the piece when appropriate.

      I let only works on planets with atmosphere. Ships and stations leave it showing for some stupid reason. m

      Yeah I already have that toggled. It just only works in space ports on planets with atmosphere for some reason, and not on space stations or on your ship.

    For your base you need to build the outdoor storage containers and a transfer container. Build at least one of each type and another next to your mines. Once you have those, you need to build the landing pad and then you can land your ship right there and have access to use the resources or just quickly transfer out of the ship. A lot of people set up the storage containers stacked into a wall around the base perimeter which will aid in your defenses if and when attacks come.

      Oh you also need to build 2 crew stations in the outpost so you can assign the two managers you picked up from Vectera.
      Speaking of crew, don't forget to go to the crew section in your ship and assign the members you want on the ship. Your current ship can only handle 2, but Sarah is a freebie. Look at their skills and assign those who benefit your play style.

    You need any 4 points on a level of skills to open the next level of skills. They can be any combination of skills including just 1 skill with all 4 tiers, 2 silks 2 tier, etc. On the rhe piloting, you kept trying to click in tier 3 and would just skip over tier 2 like you thought it was done.

      I clicked on tier 2 as well, it just wasn't activating. I really think the button on my controller is sticky, since I've had trouble activating other things as well.

    52:58 - You _do_ have rank 2 of piloting.
    If it's highlighted in blue then it means you are free to spend a skill point to get it.

    Tip: If you're not a fan of Barrett now, go ahead and get all of his stuff out of the way first. You'll thank yourself for it later on down the line =)

    FYI, putting points into ballistics and energy weapons is a waste.
    You need to replace your ship weapons with particle beams. They are far better than ballistics and lasers.

    • @WastelandDovahkiin
      @WastelandDovahkiin  3 місяці тому

      Doesn't it apply to my personal weapons?

    • @DreddPirateRoberts
      @DreddPirateRoberts 3 місяці тому

      @@WastelandDovahkiinYes, it does apply to the weapons you currently have, but in the long run, it's just going to be a wasted point, because particle beams outclass lasers and ballistics.
      Seriously, ditch your current weapons for particle beams.

    52:50 - *"I can't rank up my piloting skill."*
    Are you okay?
    It clearly says "Rank 2 available."

    You are most certainly not alone in your dislike of Barrett.
    I cannot stand him.
    Funnily, he's supposedly one of the most intelligent of the Constellation companions, but he has the most inane comments.
    And yeah, he _is_ a bit too infatuated with himself.
    He has some good skills, which buff your ship's capabilities, which makes me wish you could silence companions without muting every NPC in the game
    But you can't, so I no longer have any companions on my ship.

      I've always enjoyed having companions in video games, but there's always at least one or two that I can't stand. So far I find Sam to be the least annoying, although I haven't traveled with him for long yet. But Barrett was annoying before I ever traveled with him, lol.

      @@WastelandDovahkiin I find Barrett presumptuous; an abstract addition to tell us about the story without being part of the story. A device to tell me what I should be thinking and feeling about "the mystery" and "exploring the galaxy." That said, the game critic, Gene Park, loved him, so he appeals to some.

    • @WastelandDovahkiin
      @WastelandDovahkiin  3 місяці тому

      @@ricwilliams9922 Yeah, he does feel like a narrator in a way. And definitely he does tell me what I should be thinking and feeling about things, but I find that I rarely think and feel what he says I do.
