Important Note: I got the duplicate command for Xbox wrong in the video (I guess my Google-Fu is not as strong as I thought). To duplicate a piece on Xbox, just hover over the piece you want to duplicate and press "Y". Its that simple. I apologize for the misinformation. Thanks to @QuestorWI for bringing this to my attention. *NOTE: This ship cannot be built now without mods. The latest update broke the Flip and Drop Blending Techniques. If you want to build this ship, you need to either load the "Ship Building Tweaks" mod, or if you are on PC, you can change the .INI file by changing the fShipBuilderModuleOverlapTolerance to " =-2.0000"
@@QuestorWI I have a hunch why it might not work for you. At least I also encountered a problem at first. Solution: To use the flip glitch, you have to move the corresponding item to the place where you want it to be. Now flip it so often that it would be in the position you want it to be in with the next flip. Now flip (“Y”) and then press “B” (Xbox / I don't know the “Cancel” or “Back” button for the PC at the moment) shortly afterwards without rushing. It will then take about 1 second and the object will turn green. I hope this helps you.
Nice to see you learned how to stack the SAL's rather than have them take up 4 attachment slots. I've been frustrated by builders that don't seem to know you can stack some class C engines to make one larger engine while retaining the power and mobility of two.
I love how you help the viewer through the otherwise frustrating process of figuring out how to go around to the different shipyards to buy all the parts.
I would really like to both compliment you on this ship design and video tutorial skills. Even for a beginner like me, your instructions were super easy to follow. The ship itself looks amazing inside and out and can annihilate bounty hunter ships in seconds. Excellent job and thank you! :)
Great tutorial. Suggestion for anyone following this: don’t add more windows. For some reason it messes up the doors and you won’t have a full loop. Also I recommend mods so you don’t have to travel all over and so you don’t have to do the placement glitches. I built this entire ship in New Atlantis.
Mods definitely make things easier when building the ship. The one that adds all parts to all ship vendors is awesome, as is the "Place Doors Yourself" mod. I also recommend the better flips mods to add more flipping options to pieces. The Ship Building Tweaks mod would get rid of the need for the blending techniques.
Every time I made a ship it always just was to big...too many ladders...or just ugly...the ship you made...perfect...looks amazing...and even no ladders amazing build :D
Absolutely love the use of these new empty HAB’s, I might add some breaking thrusters to the outside and reconfigure the weapon placements.. but definitely a lovely design for efficiency and rp factors
These new empty habs are my favorite. You can do so much with them. I have another ship where I used the mess hall to make a captians quarters/armory/crafting/lounge hab.
I enjoyed watching your video. You are clear and concise on how to get parts and complete. You made yours look good from decorating. I can’t decorate so I didn’t use blank Habs. I will be updating as no captains quarters and no where for my peeps to sleep. The engine room is useless in my case. The only think I wasn’t fond of and had to modify was the fuel! Was only 210 capacity in the one you had. Couldn’t go from Kryx to Serpentis.
Fuel is a little light on this one, but nothing that adding a 900t tank wouldn't solve. You should give a try with the decorations. I didn't think I could do it as well, but it was kind of intuitive. I just set up things as I would like to have them in my own house.
Thank you so very much for this video! I have been really struggling trying to get the Cabot/no ladder ship to work. I watched a few build guides but didn’t like what they made. Yours is amazing!! Not only is the design wonderful with a comfortable layout but it is a gorgeous ship. I am only level 46 with 700k credits but I took a chance and was able to squeak by making it almost identical to yours. I had so much fun! It felt like virtual legos. And like others have said, your presentation is perfection. Showing the parts list and pausing, laying everything out first. I just had to go with cheaper weapons and two less engines to afford it. Just have to teleport to where I want to go so don’t have to battle until I get fully weaponized 😅 Thanks again for all your work 🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate your kind words. You will have the ship finished in no time... then you need to start saving for the upgrade: The Artemis!
No problem. Some people consider it "cheating", but I prefer to look at it as a blending technique that is left in the game (and apparently the devs used themselves to construct some of the ships).
It’s a cool build. With some glitch building you can really make a ship look unique. I have a phobia for stroud parts though, looks to squared like bricks to me.
Thank you! These empty habs really are opening up possibilities for ships. Ships can be smaller or more streamlined now with habs. The downside is less habs = less hull points (ship HP), so shields are going to play a bigger roll.
@@MikhailScottKy Probably. Not sure on the economics side though. Is it less expensive to buy a cheap ship like the Rambler and buy all the parts, or start with the Dragonfire (which is significantly more) and delete less parts?
@@MikhailScottKy sure. I mean, truthfully you can use any ship as a starting off point. If the ship already has party you need, all the better... take note though. You will need mods now to build this ship. The flip and blend glitches have been patched out.
Built mine to from your video looks awesome, i had to use diferent engines as purposely have not done all that money can buy yet in process of decorating👍
Nice! The SAL6330's would work as well, you may lose some mobility, but I doubt it would be too noticeable (its about a 15 mobility difference between the 2 engines)
This is a really nice ship design that is giving me some inspiration. Only thing that personally bugs me is basically the captains the only one that gets to sleep 🤣
As it should be! I expect my crew to work!!! Honestly, if I was to do it again, I would take part of the storage area and turn that into a crew quarters instead of all those computers.
Super video, love the ship, gonna be building that myself. Only one problem. Captain is the only one with a bed, i can see squabbling in the future. You know Cora is still gonna have to clean her room...
We shall see.. lol... I honestly don't know what I would do with an MKIV version unless they do a big update to the ship builder again. Like make all structures flippable in all directions, or add new parts to the builder.. Then I may need to go and redesign. Until then, this is its Final Form #SubjectToChange
I just learned about it myself. It works on any 2 space piece that can be duplicated. I tried it with fuel tanks and other types of engines (I did it with the Supernova's as well on the side). Its really useful for the SAL engines though.
There’s also the drop-down duplication glitch. You can merge non-habs into each other if you want to condense the build. Just use structural pieces that have a top/bottom hook point and highlight the desired items, then the top or bottom part of the structural piece to drop it down or nudge it up. You need to be able to duplicate both to do this glitch however
I think I have that figured out now to the point where I can demonstrate it in a video. I might see if I can apply that to my other ship, the Celestial Saber. I've been wanting to do an MKII version of that ship for a while now.
Thanks. Unfortunately you cannot make the ship anymore as described. Since I released the video, Bethesda patched out the flip glitching. You need a mod like "Ship Building Tweaks" in order to build it. If you want ladderless, you can build my Archangel without mods or glitches (I show both in that video)
I primarily build M-Class ships using commands to get access to M-Class reactors, shields, and gravdrives. However, this may be the first C-Class that I consider actually using.
I try and read, and reply to most comments on my page. I may consider putting some of my older ships on the Creation Store. I have actually never done that before, so I have to look into the process. Especially some of these ship that you can no longer build in-game without mods (Though my Archangel is still viable as that has a no-glitch option)
@@TeamScorpioRI There's a ship on the Nexus Mods called the "Nova Galactic Megaship" that serves as a really good example of what players might be able to do if they could build M Class ships. I wish I could link it, but youtube is youtube (I think), so if ye type that exact name in the search bar there ye should find it.
Thank you for the video. Nice work. I spent six hours on this and I cannot get it to work. No path to docker!! I cannot find what I did wrong. Flip glitch and engine blending work like a dream! The only thing I did different was I used a Pinch 8Z reactor. I'll tackle again later this week.
Did you use the empty hab variants? This may be the issue as the empty habs create unique pathing options for the ship (which is how I was able to create a circular path through the ship. Though if your docker is in the same spot mine is, you should be able to get to it somehow (as long as you can get to the rear mess hall hab). I wish we could share video/images in the comments. It would help if I or we (we have a lot of skilled builders on here) could see your specific layout.
@@TeamScorpioRI Thanks for the reply. I truly appreciate it. I did use empty hab modules, as specified. I had my tablet on my lap, pausing your video, doing the build, and so on. I'll go over it again. I have all the purchased items on my Rambler on the ship builder pad on Androphon. I really like your builds. Great inspiration.
FYI.. Someone else had the same issue. Turns out it was the 1x1 habs. There are a couple types of 1x1's. One of the storerooms does not have all the hookpoints (one of the walls is completely solid). Make sure your 1x1 has hookpoints on all sides.
@@TeamScorpioRI So ultimately, I put a slim docker just behind the cockpit on the top of 3x1 "art gallery" hab. There is a ladder, but not really. After docking, I'm just behind the pilot seat and ready for the next adventure! Thanks again for an awesome build and inspiration!
11 out of 10 for this one bro. What a legend. Im going to make this one today i think. Ive just clicked over 5mil creds. Just need to work out where to get the letters you got in the hab. Didnt know we could add them like that. Another great build. Love your stuff
Thank you! I appreciate it. The letters are in the hab customization, but you may need to have at least researched decoration level 2 in order to access them (I may be wrong about that)
It took me a while to find everything as well. The letters can be tricky to place. They need to sit on something, but they are too big to go on the built in shelves that are in the habs. The one right as you enter the ship I had to kind of "float" them in a very specific spot in order to stick. I'd love if we could use them on the outside of the ship as well.
This was by first build from pretty much scratch. I had to make a few minor changes due to missing skills, I think. I had to change the quantity of some of the guns and I couldn’t get the ones on the mount to connect to the hull, so I had to switch types on those. But this thing kicks the crap out of any single ship out there before the auto turrets even fire. I’m thinking my next pass through, I’ll try different hats. Just for fun.
Great to hear! Its a good ship to build off of. One thing I would do differently is make it a couple meters shorter. Some places, like New Homestead, you end up getting stuck under the ship when landing
I have some footage of basic combat in the beginning of the video. I usually test ships in the Serpentis System on Very Hard. It definitely held its own, especially with the auto turrets. They just rip things apart.
They should add a feature like ship codes, so someone could share their design easier, and it would auto buy the parts and assemble the ship at a shipyard.
Amazing! Not just the great work you've done, which is ace level, but the way you present everything, pause, explain.. makes it so easy to follow! I gotta ask, are you a teacher by any chance? :)
I have had that happen a few times, and I have noticed it more with this last update. Normally I spawn on the side of the ship (whichever side has the landing bay), but specifically with NH, you spawn under the ship! Other planets, its fine.
Every ship I build is ladderless , either by using mods or by simply making them one level high . The ladders wouldn't be nearly as bad if you could freely move your camera while climbing them . There are stairs and elevators in the game , all we need is the creation kit to make them something we can use freely .
I don't mind ladders as well, but the majority of the people looking for ship builds it seems loves ladder-less builds. I think its the frustration of not being able to place ladders where you want that drives these types of builds.
I actually made a micro-Vengeance build that I was thinking of releasing. It totally looked like a frog. Just at the time there were so many micro-builds out there. I just didn't see the point (plus it used a lot of glitches).
So you can still do no ladders today with one small adjustment. What you need is to move the docker to a low profile docker on the bottom of the ship. Paths that are created prioritise landing bay to cockpit and docker, so removing the side docker removes the ladder inside the door
I did this with the V2 version of the ship, and it still created a "half ladder" for the ship docker. Comment section on that video lit up that there was still a "ladder". I have a ship coming out on Friday that has no ladders, no mods, no glitches.
ship building saved starfield from bankruptcy and the best they could give people in an update after all the feedback was empty habs. which is just a checkbox on their end.
I wish they could have done more, but I will take whatever they can give. I'd love to see them have assignable doors, or the ability to flip structural pieces in all directions. I think alot of the good ship upgrades will be with the modders.
Yeah. Empty habs add doors at all points, so now you can make a circle if placed right. They are fun, but they do also add some weird doors. A 3x3 connected to a 3x3 will give you 3 doors. Weird
Like the ship but wish it included everything. I hate decorating and never bother to do any, and I wish this had all the workstations and stuff… Nice build though, thanks!
Just swap out the habs for the decorated versions. The patching will be a little different however. Empty habs have a unique path to them as for where they place the doors and ladders. That is really what made that circular path through this ship possible.
I actually built a Vengeance MkII. Wonder how hard it would be to upgrade. I'm only level fifty, though, so I hd to buy a generator that was one step down from the one you recommended. There was only one other part I couldn’t buy, you have to be level fifty-three for it… dangit now I can’t remember what it was. Anyway love my Vengeance MkII!
@@Akinius Honestly the 39 power B class is all the power most people need, the 1 extra power for nearly 50 more mass isn't worth it, especially when you consider that the C class shield is only 100-150 hp more than the B class shields for like 70-90 mass extra. The biggest thing that I have found to improve my ship building process it to almost completely ignore cargo space. I build one hauler for missions and then run with 1000-2000 base cargo on primarily b class combat ships.
Check the 1x1 habs. There are 2 types. One of them has a blank wall on one side that causes issues. Make sure you are using the 1x1 that has hookpoints on all sides.
Love this build, and thank you. I tried it today and tried to follow to the letter, but at the end got an error that I can't connect the bay with the cockpit. Did I miss something? Please help!
From what I have seen, that is caused by the wrong 1x1 being selected. There are 2 types. Make sure you are selecting the one with hookpoints on all 4 sides. Otherwise funky things happen to the pathing.
I would love that. That was one of the features on my "wish list" as well. Cargo would boost cargo capacity % based on the size of the cargo hab, battle station improves targeting lock speed, infirmary will actually cure status effects... I would also love a better ship economy. Or maybe make it so if you side with the Crimson Fleet you get access to a special ship vendor who buys stolen ships without the need to register them.
This is one of the coolest and craziest things I have seen on ship building those glitches I never would’ve figured that out great design I would choose different weapons lay out I buy all my weapons from red mile 250 guns I was impressed with my 12000 storage capacity on my ship but this is something I’m going to definitely do any ideas on the bridge I would love to remove those 2 extra seats can’t stand having a crew on bridge I use same bridge claymore really like that style I built a wall around them to keep the crew out office partitions and would love to shut off the intercom 1 thing I hate about this game great job buy the way awesome video
Thanks Steve! You can definitely load this with the weapons of your choice. I am partial to this specific load out, but I have been thinking of trying something new. Good idea with walls. I wish we could build/craft real walls and doors. Maybe someone will add that as a mod. Speaking of mods, someone did release a "Less Chatty Crew" mod. So if you don't like them paging you over the intercom every 10 seconds, I recommend downloading that.
Woo hoo.. someone who actually likes the music! lol... It's a royalty free track. I get them from TechSmith Assets. The track is called "Eternal Horizons"
I saw those! I am trying out the Place Doors mod and the Better Flip mods next. Kind of excited on those two. They were my top asks for ship building improvements.
@@TeamScorpioRI The "Place Doors Yourself" mod is awesome! but you have to place your hab first, then the doors, that's the only thing to get used to. Thanks for a great explanation of the two glitch methods
Had a bizarre thing happen with the dupe glitch: no matter how hard I tried, the engines were duping sideways, not up. I finally gave up and went on, figured I'd do something cosmetically later to make it look good. As soon as I flipped the ship upside down to add the Hopetech bracers, the engines re-glitched, into the proper place!
I love this build, but I do have an issue. I'm level 60 but no vendor has the Stroud 2x2 Empty Battlestation and because of this the right side 1x1 doesn't have a doorway into the battlestation preventing a full loop. I'm on xbox so i don't know if that makes any difference.
So this is a weird glitch with the ship builder UI. If you head to Neon and visit the Stroud Eklund showroom, they do have the empty battle station... HOWEVER, it is not labeled as empty. There is a bug in the UI that cuts out the word, so it looks like its the regular battle station. When you select the piece, just hit I believe its RT. You will see the first battle station hab come up. Now keep hitting RT till you see it come up again. This is the empty variant (even though it doesn't say it)
@@TeamScorpioRI Thank you so much! That worked. When I initially looked through the habs i didn't pay attention that it showed up twice before cycling back around.
@@Ezeikial Yeah. What is weird is I don't remember it being that way in the beta. It only showed up like that after release. Hopefully they fix it in the next patch.
Right?? I actually am going to try and move away from calling them "glitches" and maybe refer to them as "blending techniques". It sounds more artsy and less "your not supposed to do that". On the plus side, it wouldn't affect this ship too much. I'd need to remove the windows from the 1x1's (would probably need to redecorate), move the shield to the top of the ship, move the engines up one space, and find a new spot for the bottom weapons... Now, I would have a couple other ships that would be completely unuseable, namely my ShroudTerror build and my Raider build.
@@stuartharam1742 Yep.. Luckily if you have the ship built already, it won't affect it. But if you want to build this ship out now, you need to either use mods, or modify the build as above.
you should get the ComSpike cause what it does is its time to lock onto enemie ships is reduced by 25% and weapons cost 20% less to use in targetting mode and you should get the conduction grid to cause it reduces em damage by 50% and increases shield regeneration by 25% and you get the Comspike and Conduction Grid by doing the Crimson fleet mission chain or campaign you buy them at ship technician at the crimson fleet base
Really wish bethesda would implement a outpost staryard system of some kind, bassically you could go to the different shipyards and buy the parts but instead of putting it on your ship you would store them at the outpost, then you could assemble/upgrade your ships there when you already have a ton of parts. Hell or even just a "ship parts" inventory where you dont constantly sell and rebuy module but just purchase them once and use them however you wanted
This was actually one of my requests on my "Top 10 Things I Want to See in Starfield" video. I wanted to be able to build a staryard, just like we do an outpost. What is interesting is if you use the mod that unlocks all ship parts at your outpost, you see there are a bunch of Space Station parts added as well. So it may have been a feature that was cut. It would be awesome if they implimented it. Then we could build our ships there. It would also be a place where we could display all the ships we have built (you would need to build docking ports for each ship you want to display) and it would be attacked, and the ships we have docked would defend it (using the in-game AI). I also thought it would be cool to tie some missions to the staryard for ship building. So you start off with basic Nova parts, but if you want say "Deimos" parts available at the yard, you can complete a questline for them which unlocks their parts at the staryard as a reward (think like the length of the faction quests). This would give us more quests in game and add some customization to the yard.
i am lvl 88 and only have flight 4 not one point in starship design yet and leveling now takes ages... may i gonna do outpost crafting with complex material crafting to get a few levels. i wanna build this ship.
I would say definitely do some outpost crafting. You need raw materials for the ship decoration, and bulk crafting things like adaptive frames is a good source of XP.
I'm level 32 and have level 4 pilot and 4 starship design. I just can never seem to build something without either getting low mobility or too many engines errors. Can you do a video for class c ships at level 30?
At level 30, you are missing access to some of the higher end reactors and parts that get you up to that next level of ships. You have the Class C parts, but a good amount of stuff is level locked as well. I'll put some low level builds on the list to get out, but it may be a while. In the meantine. I would check out WizeOldWizard here on UA-cam. He has a build called the Aetos II which may work in the meantime.
I expect my hired hands to work 24/7. They can sleep when they are dead! lol.... (I completely forgot to put in a crew area. If I had to redo it, I would change the computer/storage area into a crew sleeping area)
I can't get the engineering bay to flip green,NVM I forgot to cancel. I don't know how this is possible but my 3x2 is a 2x3 and i can't rotate it as that option don't exist....edit there are 2 versions of it at neon, the 2nd set is rotated 90 degrees, my stroud fore cap B won't flip 180 foward\backwards it's only flipping top to bottom, any idea how to fix this?
The fore cap only flips upside down. You can't flip it backwards like you can with the Cap A piece. There is a separate piece for the backwards portion.
What type of trouble? Habs are available at level 1, so it should be there and selectable for you. One bug I have found is that it may not say "empty" (not sure if this is a character display limit). But if you go to the 2x2, and select the left variant (left arrow on PC, not sure on Xbox what changes variants), it should bring you to the empty versions. Just keep hitting the left till you see the battle station.
They are there. Like I said, it just may not be labeled as empty (or you haven't installed the latest patch?). Some of the habs are not labeled correctly, I have found. If you keep selecting the next variant, there will be at least one 2x2 that is actually labeled as empty (probably the cargo hall or the Brig). The Battle station is right next to them (all the empty habs are grouped together).
Really like the layout. But I have an issue... I can never get the connection from companionway-to-security hab to make a door. I tried both the companionway and the storage 1x1, and it's the same whether I use the empty or the furnished security bay 2x2 hab. I've built/re-built the layout a couple times now and get same thing every time. Anyone else seen this? (PC build)
It shouldn't be a security hab. The habs on either side are the battle station and the living quarters. A security hab might be putting the door behind one of the cells.
@@donzielke8687 hmmm.. ok. There were a couple other people who commented something similar, but it was because of the 1x1 hab. There is one variation that has a wall on one side. Not saying that is the case here, bit just a theory. Pull the 1x1s off. The one you should be using should have hook points on all sides.
I. Getting several errors, including unattached modules, no access to cockpit from docling bay, docking bay must be positioned on an edge, and ship exceeds max length, width, or height.
Couple things could be causing that. The no path to the cockpit most likely means it's the wrong 1x1 habs (there are 2 that are named similar, make sure you have the one with hookpoints on all sides). Exceeding maximum length most likely means there is a Rouge piece hanging around outside of the typical field of vision. I've had that happen before and it can be annoying to find.
@@TeamScorpioRI It was the 1x1 Habs. Thanks. It's working great! I swapped the 4 weapons on the mounts for 4 EM weapons there. I like to capture ships.
@@duffydier EMs are always a good option. Especially if you are collecting ships. I wish we could "display" them somewhere. Lime have an auxiliary landing platform that we could show off our collection
Did they nerf the Poseidon DT230 engine? Seems like that'd be a better choice for a high-end build like this as it would probably max out mobility. (Idk, haven't played the game in a while)
The Poseidon is still a good engine, but my issue there is the attachment points. They are only on the side, which makes it a little hard to attach to this build.
hi, furst thx so much for your tutorial. I have a question regarding the decoration. How do you manage to put your mugs on the shelf ? I mean they come from your inventory right ? are you droping them ? thx again
Its a little tricky (and honestly annoying). What you have to do is drop them on the ground. Then use the command to pick them up, but hold the button. This will "hold" the piece, rather than put it straight to inventory. The you can place it on the shelf. There are also commands to rotate the piece both on X and Y access, though I cannot remember those right now.
@@gillessadeler I would check out Skully's Emporium mod. Alot of the stuff you can pick up in game is available as a decoration with this mod. Well worth it (especially since its free)
I would love that. Make it so I can start from a blank slate (no need to buy a ship) and as long as the ship is not your home ship, it doesn't need to be flyable to save the design. Like, if I am building a car. I understand that I may need to drive to a couple different stores to get the parts I want... but I don't do it in the car I am building! Its definitely one of the more frustrating parts of ship building (I would say more so than the ability to place doors/ladders.. I can at least work around that).
I cant find the Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector in the ship builder, even using mods to show all ship parts. Did they remove it from the game or something?
I followed the building instructions as far as possible. But I do not use the empty habs. Now I realize that I can't go from the cockpit backwards through the technical room and then turn right into the same storage room as on the left side to the battle station. For some reason there is no door there. The same storage room is on the left and I can get to the living area without any problems. At the back, you can cross the mess hall to the battle station. I don't understand why there is a door in the storage room on one side and not on the other. I also swapped the (not empty) living area and battle station once as a test and even then there was no doorway on the right-hand side. Is it really because the rooms are not empty, or am I missing something?
Its the way the ship builder creates the pathing. With empty habs, you can make a circular pathway through the ship. As far as I know, that is unique to the empty ones. I haven't done any testing yet with mixed habs to see just how it creates the pathing.
@@TeamScorpioRI Thank you for your quick reply. I have just tested with an empty battle station and then it gives you the missing door. So far, so good. Too bad, because I'm not that much of an interior decorator. I'm going to fly around a bit and have a look at Nova, Deimas and Tayo. Maybe there's a furnished 2x2 room there that also allows a direct passage on the right. Thank you for your great channel here!!!!
@@justasaac2003 I am not much of a decorator either, but its not all that bad. I would say give it a try. Worse comes to worse, just fill the 2x2 with cargo crates! lol
@@TeamScorpioRI Well, I've found another solution by simply building a 3x1 all-in-one and a 2x1 living quarters on the right-hand side instead of the storage room and the 2x2 hab. It actually looks coherent and the crew has gained a place to sleep.
I despise the vendor ship part level locks. Have they at least made it so you cannibalize parts from 1 ship to use on another…something, if nothing else, higher design skill should let you do?
Well, sort of. If you steal a ship with a higher level part (say the Claymore III), then you can use that ship as the basis of your build and that part will be available (as its already part of the ship). But you can not combine multiple ships together (take part from ship A and use it on ship B). I believe there is a mod out that lets you unlock all ship parts at any level, but that would be the only other thing.
@@TeamScorpioRI yeah, that’s what I don’t get. You have say 3 ships. Each has a couple parts you want on your new ship…but there’s no way to do that…destroyed immersion & enjoyment of ship building for me.
@@jimmyfrench4722 it would be awesome if we could build a space station (like we can outposts), and have one of the modules be a "chop shop" where you can part out ships and store those parts in an inventory.
Maybe, but the pathing through the ship will be completely different. Empty habs have a unique way they create doors. They put a door at every point they attach to another hab. This is what gives this ship the circular pathing. Using the pre-decorated versions may work, just the pathing may get a little funny.
@@TeamScorpioRI The layout works fine with normal habs after testing, and I ended replacing most of them with bigger habs. I've always had problem with the Cabot C4. I can never get the side entry point to work with it. Works fine at the start, but after putting on a few peaces it always start giving me message that it's not connected even if I haven't touched it. either way thanks for the vid. Love it
Meh.. they can sleep on the pool table. Lol I actually didn't think of adding it. I'd probably remove some of those computer terminals in the battle station and put them there.
True. I did kind of want my own bedroom though. Part of me also thinks the whole dinning area could go and that be the crew area. The nice thing about the empty habs is I can reconfigure it whenever I want.
@TeamScorpioRI May I ask you a very stupid question . Can you stagger Build the ship To have the ability to put more Gas tanks Energy generators Shield generators When you are building multiple Levels of your ship ,in a way to hide them too . Do not only As much storage space as possible legally or illegally As well as keep them from being able to scan the ship . But still make it as powerful as hell As well As keep it maneuverable . I also like the automatic torrents Unfortunately I don't have an xbox . Have fun I hope to see more content
You can add more fuel tanks, but you can only have one shield generator, one grav drive, and one reactor... That is unless you have mods installed that gives you the ability to have more. And unfortunately adding more fuel doesn't really get you too much unless you are using the really small tanks (one of the 900t Tanks is all you really need). Its a really big balance between cargo capacity and maneuverability. This MK3 build is the closest I have come to having a good amount of storage and keeping the maneuverability up. Now, if maneuverability is not a big concern, and you like having automatic weapons, you can check out my Strongbow build. Its a HEAVY ship, but with almost 50k cargo and all automatic weapons.
I play on my Xbox and find it hard to decorate my outposts and penthouse, let alone ship Hab's. Will thus build work with the regular Hab's? Or will I need to use different ones? As always a great build.
It should. But I am not sure how the normal habs will work with the pathing through the ship. The one thing about the empty versions is that it creates doors at all joining points with other habs, so it allows you to create a circular path through a ship. Previously with the pre-decorated habs, it would block off one end of the circle.
Don't wast your skill points on weapons and shields for your ship.. You get crew for that. With Sarah and the crew perk you can have 9 crew member's. Guy with maxed out shields is in Akila.
Bonuses from Skills and Bonuses from crew stack with each other (though crew skills don't stack with other crew with the same skill, only the highest crew skill will apply). So it is very worth it to rank up your skills in ship weapons and shields, as then the crew will add on top of that.
If you want to build this ship, you need to either load the "Ship Building Tweaks" mod, or if you are on PC, you can change the .INI file by changing the fShipBuilderModuleOverlapTolerance to " =-2.0000"
You're welcome. Any idea why I can't get the flip glitch to work though?
@@QuestorWI I have a hunch why it might not work for you. At least I also encountered a problem at first. Solution: To use the flip glitch, you have to move the corresponding item to the place where you want it to be. Now flip it so often that it would be in the position you want it to be in with the next flip. Now flip (“Y”) and then press “B” (Xbox / I don't know the “Cancel” or “Back” button for the PC at the moment) shortly afterwards without rushing. It will then take about 1 second and the object will turn green. I hope this helps you.
:) Beautiful ship AND a great introduction into the whole process!
@@justasaac2003 :) Sure helped me, ty!
Thank you! I hate looking for parts myself. So my goal is to make the process easy for everyone.
@@TeamScorpioRI :) It shows. You either have a talent for education, or at least some experience in that field!
@@dayegilharno4988 I do. I am a software trainer by day.
I would really like to both compliment you on this ship design and video tutorial skills. Even for a beginner like me, your instructions were super easy to follow. The ship itself looks amazing inside and out and can annihilate bounty hunter ships in seconds. Excellent job and thank you! :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Just finished building this ship. It dominates in combat! Now I'll spend the rest of the night gathering resources and decorating the ship!
Glad you like it! Have fun decorating it! It has plenty of room to make it your own
I’ve just started ship building so this was very helpful especially the glitches. Outstanding build, I love the layout and the shape of the ship.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the ship!
The art gallery in the Engineering hab was a very inspired idea that I fully intend to mimic!
Thank you! Those wall sections just seemed like something you would see in an an art gallery, so I ran with it.
Every time I made a ship it always just was to big...too many ladders...or just ugly...the ship you made...perfect...looks amazing...and even no ladders amazing build :D
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Everyone always seems to forget about Aneutronic Fusion. Such a good skill to get, extra power is never wasted.
Good point. I'll make sure to start including that skill in my videos as well under the recommended options.
I really appreciate the time taken to go step by step. Great job
You are welcome! Hope you enjoy the ship.
Beautiful ship design and great tutorial! Hope to see more of your ideas.
Thank you! I have more ships on my channel, including ones from specific manufacturers (nova only, Hopetech only, etc) and some other fun ones.
Love the layout of everything! I am going to give this build a try.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Hope you like it.
Great design with nice flow. I'm going to apply your design to my current Cabot bridge ship. Very instructive video, thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Hopefully you like the ship.
I actually never heard of those glitches, cool thanks
No problem. Some people consider it "cheating", but I prefer to look at it as a blending technique that is left in the game (and apparently the devs used themselves to construct some of the ships).
It’s a cool build. With some glitch building you can really make a ship look unique. I have a phobia for stroud parts though, looks to squared like bricks to me.
lol.. I have the opposite problem with Nova parts. They are too rounded off for me.
@@TeamScorpioRIhehe you made it look nice and smooth though. Also the interior looks amazing.
I've got 1.6K million saved up and I was waiting for this...
You only need like three perfect ships and you always provide them
Thank you! These empty habs really are opening up possibilities for ships. Ships can be smaller or more streamlined now with habs. The downside is less habs = less hull points (ship HP), so shields are going to play a bigger roll.
@@TeamScorpioRI To jumpstart this would it not be easier to buy the Dragonfire?
@@MikhailScottKy Probably. Not sure on the economics side though. Is it less expensive to buy a cheap ship like the Rambler and buy all the parts, or start with the Dragonfire (which is significantly more) and delete less parts?
@@TeamScorpioRI I was thinking that one or to capture the ecliptic version of it.
@@MikhailScottKy sure. I mean, truthfully you can use any ship as a starting off point. If the ship already has party you need, all the better... take note though. You will need mods now to build this ship. The flip and blend glitches have been patched out.
Superb, thanks so much for this and teaching glitch for even more fun, nice one
Glad you enjoyed it
Built mine to from your video looks awesome, i had to use diferent engines as purposely have not done all that money can buy yet in process of decorating👍
Nice! The SAL6330's would work as well, you may lose some mobility, but I doubt it would be too noticeable (its about a 15 mobility difference between the 2 engines)
absolutely amazing !!!! i'll try this build later, because right now i'm broke.. (because of the NG stuff 😡)
Now this is a well made video. Thank you for your effort. I hope I have enough credits to make this
Thank you! You need about 900k credits for the build, give or take depending on your Commerce skill level.
Man, you saved my day with the engine glitch 🖖👍👍👍👍👍
Glad to hear it! It works with other engines as well, FYI
You can change some things, I did.
Maybe you can fit a living quarters in there. I put one in where he said you could optionally.
Super video, love the ship, gonna be building that myself. Only one problem. Captain is the only one with a bed, i can see squabbling in the future. You know Cora is still gonna have to clean her room...
Yeah, I forgot to put in morr beds. I would recommend that you just take out some of the computers in the computer room and add in some bunk beds....
Another awesome Build! This could very well be my end game home ship... Unless a MK IV comes along :)
We shall see.. lol... I honestly don't know what I would do with an MKIV version unless they do a big update to the ship builder again. Like make all structures flippable in all directions, or add new parts to the builder.. Then I may need to go and redesign. Until then, this is its Final Form #SubjectToChange
The duplicate glitch - I always learn something new in your videos.
You need to be able to duplicate both to do this glitch however
I'm still trying to master that one to the point where I can explain it. I would love to merge things like the grave drive and the reactor together.
I think I have that figured out now to the point where I can demonstrate it in a video. I might see if I can apply that to my other ship, the Celestial Saber. I've been wanting to do an MKII version of that ship for a while now.
Loving this one! Especially the no ladders part!
Thanks. Unfortunately you cannot make the ship anymore as described. Since I released the video, Bethesda patched out the flip glitching. You need a mod like "Ship Building Tweaks" in order to build it. If you want ladderless, you can build my Archangel without mods or glitches (I show both in that video)
@TeamScorpioRI I love these mods too much so I may just have to get that mod and try it out. Thanks bro!
I primarily build M-Class ships using commands to get access to M-Class reactors, shields, and gravdrives. However, this may be the first C-Class that I consider actually using.
I really hope they put M-Class in the game officially.
Don't know if you are reading comments? If so would love to see this impressive ship offered via Creations. Amazing job!
I try and read, and reply to most comments on my page. I may consider putting some of my older ships on the Creation Store. I have actually never done that before, so I have to look into the process. Especially some of these ship that you can no longer build in-game without mods (Though my Archangel is still viable as that has a no-glitch option)
@@TeamScorpioRI again I hope to see you add your ships to Creations they are just that good!
Honestly I can't wait until we get to build M class ships. That'd be awesome.
You and me both! I want to build the REALLY big ships!
You somehow made the ONLY Cabot ship that doesn't look like a freaking FROG. Congrats, man!
Lol.. I saw all those Frog builds on reddit. They are interesting in design, for sure.
Thank you. Sounds like maybe a weird glitch? Odd that the docker won't connect.
The letters are in the hab customization, but you may need to have at least researched decoration level 2 in order to access them (I may be wrong about that)
Sweet. Just looked now. Have maxed out the research I outpost development. I'll go find where the letters are now
Found it... lol. I hadn't gone far enough down on the decoration tab in the ship decorator. Whoop whoop. What a legend
That would be awesome if we could use them on the outside. Maybe one day in a future update they will give us the option.
Glad you like it!!
Dang, dude! That is a nice ship!!!
Thank you!
Hi, Thx for another Insane Ship Build, i make the fuel Tank a little difrent, so i have 800 fuel on the same place. Sorry about my English.
No worries! Modifications and improvements are always welcome with my builds. What tank did you use in its place?
@@TeamScorpioRI Hi, i use two He3-Tank Atlas H30.
Great tutorial. I am definitely using some of this on my next build.
Great to hear! Its a good ship to build off of. One thing I would do differently is make it a couple meters shorter. Some places, like New Homestead, you end up getting stuck under the ship when landing
That is a really sleek looking ship. Would love to see how she performs in combat.
I have some footage of basic combat in the beginning of the video. I usually test ships in the Serpentis System on Very Hard. It definitely held its own, especially with the auto turrets. They just rip things apart.
Dude... Rad. Building this tonight
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it.
They should add a feature like ship codes, so someone could share their design easier, and it would auto buy the parts and assemble the ship at a shipyard.
Interesting idea
Amazing! Not just the great work you've done, which is ace level, but the way you present everything, pause, explain.. makes it so easy to follow!
I gotta ask, are you a teacher by any chance? :)
Thank you! You are close. I am a trainer for a medical software company.
Looks awesome
Thank you!
When landing at New Homestead, I always get stuck underneath the ship. So I built a shorter version of this by replacing the 3x1 with an empty 2x1.
I like how when leaving Titan it looks like a baby frog
I actually made a micro-Vengeance build that I was thinking of releasing. It totally looked like a frog. Just at the time there were so many micro-builds out there. I just didn't see the point (plus it used a lot of glitches).
this is the best ship build video I've seen.
Thank you!
amazing job
I'm glad you like it. Make sure to check out some of my other designs on the channel.
You can have Sam on your crew if you don't want to wait to get payload up to level 4.
Sam is a great ship companion. Helps with Payload and with ship top speed. He is a must have is any speed build.
I'm sure the ship tech at the red mile is a relation to GTA5's Lester Crest!
lol.. Probably his great great great grandson.
Nice!
I do love a no ladder build
Thanks Doc! Have you played around with the empty habs yet? They have some interesting pathing going on vs the decorated ones.
@TeamScorpioRI really?
No I haven't not yet.
I saw you said they connected in a circle, that's nice.
Yeah. Empty habs add doors at all points, so now you can make a circle if placed right. They are fun, but they do also add some weird doors. A 3x3 connected to a 3x3 will give you 3 doors. Weird
@TeamScorpioRI dude what ok i have got to play with this.
Thanks man
That is a beautiful ship.
havent used that bridge in ages, but im pretty sure the sequential connecting makes the bridge the only connecting interior for both floors.
It does. No other ladders are present in this build.
Like the ship but wish it included everything. I hate decorating and never bother to do any, and I wish this had all the workstations and stuff…
Nice build though, thanks!
@@Akinius the MKII is a great ship! It was my main ship till this revision, and the only reason I redesigned it was to try out the empty habs.
I hope the ability to choose ladder and doorway placement gets implement eventually 😩
It would be nice.. Till then, we have the "place doors yourself" mod, which actually works awesome!
I follow the instructions but can't do a loop inside the ship
Check the 1x1 habs. There are 2 types. One of them has a blank wall on one side that causes issues. Make sure you are using the 1x1 that has hookpoints on all sides.
Very nice design.
Thank you! Cheers!
Otherwise funky things happen to the pathing.
wish list cargo habs increased cargo capacity. Npc benefits from habs.
Make building & selling ships a viable way to turn profit.
Nice !
Thanks!
You can just start in New Homestead and buy the Discovery for half the price of the Rambler. Also, I'll be making this ship tonight. Thanks.
Really?? Good to know. I knew there was a 30k ship around somewhere. But couldn't remember where.
Looking fwd to building this using certain creation mods to fully unlock it's potential.
Oh, if you use Darkstar and Ship Building Tweaks, this ship will be insane.
Any information about the background music at 5:10? It was really good.
Woo hoo.. someone who actually likes the music! lol... It's a royalty free track. I get them from TechSmith Assets. The track is called "Eternal Horizons"
@@TeamScorpioRI Thanks, there were others that were good too, but this one in particular is my favorite. Nice selection.
They now have thr place doors and laders anywhere mod and empty 1x1 hab mod
I saw those! I am trying out the Place Doors mod and the Better Flip mods next. Kind of excited on those two. They were my top asks for ship building improvements.
@@TeamScorpioRI The "Place Doors Yourself" mod is awesome! but you have to place your hab first, then the doors, that's the only thing to get used to. Thanks for a great explanation of the two glitch methods
Where's your crew pooping?!
Over where the pool table is. There is a bathroom on that module.
I have heard that before, but with landing gears. I guess now its happening to engines too. Interesting.
God forbid they ever patch the ship building glitches! We’ll all have ships we can’t fly due to errors 😂
They've literally just done it
@@stuartharam1742 Yep.. Luckily if you have the ship built already, it won't affect it. But if you want to build this ship out now, you need to either use mods, or modify the build as above.
you should get the ComSpike cause what it does is its time to lock onto enemie ships is reduced by 25% and weapons cost 20% less to use in targetting mode
and you should get the conduction grid to cause it reduces em damage by 50% and increases shield regeneration by 25%
and you get the Comspike and Conduction Grid by doing the Crimson fleet mission chain or campaign you buy them at ship technician at the crimson fleet base
Hello, what's the name of the suite you're wearing?
Its the operator stealth suit from the Ryujin questline
How do you move ship parts up and down? They always refuse

@@TeamScorpioRIit’s up and down on d-pad.
There is a "unlock all ship parts mod" so you can build everything from your outpost pad.
@@sicksixgamer2694 An absolute excellent mod, if you are using mods. Definitely saves time in building (especially during the design phase).
i am lvl 88 and only have flight 4 not one point in starship design yet and leveling now takes ages... may i gonna do outpost crafting with complex material crafting to get a few levels. i wanna build this ship.
Like the ship build and design you explained it well Where does crew sleep.?
I expect my hired hands to work 24/7. They can sleep when they are dead! lol.... (I completely forgot to put in a crew area. If I had to redo it, I would change the computer/storage area into a crew sleeping area)
I can't get the engineering bay to flip green,NVM I forgot to cancel.
I don't know how this is possible but my 3x2 is a 2x3 and i can't rotate it as that option don't exist....edit there are 2 versions of it at neon, the 2nd set is rotated 90 degrees,
my stroud fore cap B won't flip 180 foward\backwards it's only flipping top to bottom, any idea how to fix this?
The fore cap only flips upside down. You can't flip it backwards like you can with the Cap A piece. There is a separate piece for the backwards portion.
@@TeamScorpioRI yeah i found a A cap on that Paradiso planet with the hotel.
Hi I am having trouble getting the empty battle station hab 2×2 from Stroud
What type of trouble? Habs are available at level 1, so it should be there and selectable for you. One bug I have found is that it may not say "empty" (not sure if this is a character display limit). But if you go to the 2x2, and select the left variant (left arrow on PC, not sure on Xbox what changes variants), it should bring you to the empty versions. Just keep hitting the left till you see the battle station.
That's the problem I am not seeing an empty 2x2 hab
They are there. Like I said, it just may not be labeled as empty (or you haven't installed the latest patch?). Some of the habs are not labeled correctly, I have found. If you keep selecting the next variant, there will be at least one 2x2 that is actually labeled as empty (probably the cargo hall or the Brig). The Battle station is right next to them (all the empty habs are grouped together).
@@TeamScorpioRI ok now sorted thanks great ship
Really like the layout. But I have an issue... I can never get the connection from companionway-to-security hab to make a door. I tried both the companionway and the storage 1x1, and it's the same whether I use the empty or the furnished security bay 2x2 hab. I've built/re-built the layout a couple times now and get same thing every time. Anyone else seen this? (PC build)
It shouldn't be a security hab. The habs on either side are the battle station and the living quarters. A security hab might be putting the door behind one of the cells.
@@TeamScorpioRI sorry! I meant the battle stations hab … 🤦🏻♂️
What was the Cost of all the part for this ship?
900,000 Credits (not including starter ship). I usually put the costs in my description.
@@TeamScorpioRI Oh yeah, I forgot about that. They are a pain in the ass to work with lol.
hi, furst thx so much for your tutorial.
@@TeamScorpioRI Thx so much for the tip
!!! It worked... you were right it's quite annoying :)
@@gillessadeler I would check out Skully's Emporium mod. Alot of the stuff you can pick up in game is available as a decoration with this mod. Well worth it (especially since its free)
Why you can't just perchance ship parts, store than, and then use them latter is beyond me.
Exactly! Another huge missed opportunity.
i dont know why they make some of the new parts tarnished/dirty...
No idea.. I guess they wanted that slightly worn look to them.
I cant find the Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector in the ship builder, even using mods to show all ship parts. Did they remove it from the game or something?
I wonder if you still have to do the first Vanguard quest to unlock them, even with the mod.
Will this layout not work if I don't use empty Habs?
Love it
How did you change battle station interiors??
I used the empty habs and decorated it myself.
So 1 bedroom for 9 people? I have heard of cuddle puddles but that is a bit insane.
Yeah.. I completely forgot the crew in this build. I would redo the cargo/computer hab and throw some bunks in there.
You got nine people there in one bedroom or am I missing something . Maybe you should have added crew quarters
Meh.. they can sleep on the pool table. Lol
I actually didn't think of adding it. I'd probably remove some of those computer terminals in the battle station and put them there.
@@TeamScorpioRI you can always redo the bedroom off of the captain's office add 4 sets of bunk beds
Can tell me how much I need I set through most of the videos building the ship to find out I don't have enough credits thanks
I usually put that in the description of my videos. You need about 900k for this one.
@@TeamScorpioRI thanks I must of missed it sorry about that 😬
@@Tony2438 No worries. I'll try to make it a point to put the cost in the video itself.
Gonna need to update the ship because Bethesda patched the flip glitch
Yep.. Its next on my list to do. Only way to build this ship right now is with the Ship Part Merging Enabled mod
Nice Job
Thank you! I wish the ship could still be build without mods. I am working on a modless version of this, so stay tuned.
