So it’s basically the only part of your body you can chop off without it being a hindrance/killing you and God wants a blood sacrifice to seal the covenant?
It's not a blood sacrifice. No one/nothing dies. It's the sign of the covenant between the one true God and His people, the descendants of Abraham. (Ge 15:17; 17:1-13) God's word seals the covenant. The Hebrews' part is simply to obey. Verse 12 mentions that circumcision should take place on the eighth day after birth. I've read that the blood vessels constrict on, or after, the eighth day, minimizing bleeding and reducing the chance of hemorrhage. True, or not? I dunno.
@@Note-Goat What is your source? There is no mention in the Bible. What was the cause of these deaths? Infection? Bleeding? Shock? Yes, it's bloody, but I don't believe there was much blood loss. The wound is not so huge and recent procedures I've read about merely use a bit of pressure for a few minutes to stop the bleeding. I've also read of tribes in sub-Sahara Africa that circumcise. The 'surgeon' somehow uses a wooden stick as a gauge to guide the cut (Don't ask for any more details, because that's all I know.). These are boys just coming into puberty and it's seen as a rite of passage by them.

Still don’t understand why you need to touch someone else body to be holy 😂 at this point I’m understanding more of why you were rounded up sheep in WW2 😂 fucking crazy bro
I agree, nothing you say makes any sense. Just a word salad. Wait! I just got the 'rounded up sheep' part. What would you do if goons came into your neighborhood and threatened to kill your wife and children in front of your eyes if you didn't obey. Remember, there was no '2nd Amendment' in Germany - no guns in private hands. In the Jews' defense, have you ever looked into the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising? I believe a bunch of brave Jewish men and women fought for weeks (or months), keeping large numbers of Nazi troops off the front lines fighting them.
Romans 2:29 He is not a Jew which is one outwardly, but he is a Jew which is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter. - Unless you have the keys it will be impossible to understand the holy texts as they are allegories and fables which veil the hidden meaning.
No. God invented language so He could communicate with us, not to confuse us. Use this rule: If the simple sense makes sense, it's probably the correct sense. Only those who don't want to believe that Christ died for sins and rose from the dead try to allegorize Scripture. This is not to say that there aren't various literary devices that God used in giving His word to the writers, but that is a very small part of the Bible and it's almost always clear that it's happening, and there is usually and explanation in the context. Most Scripture is plainly and clearly narrative or doctrinal. The verse you quote is, I believe, an answer to those, called Judaizers, who insisted on circumcision of the penis as a requirement for salvation. Circumcision of the heart is an Old Testament concept. I believe Paul was fond of using OT Scripture as support for his arguments. De 10:16; 30:6; Jer 4:4; Ro 2:29.
Wow thanks for this amazing 7 minute long explanation of nothing about why circumcision is important.
Stupid tradition😢
Human rights?
Rabbi, you should use a clip for your Kippah - I’m sure you know it already but it’s a game changer
Thank you

Isn't this genital mutilation?
Definitely. Being blindly restrained to something written 2500 years ago is stupidity
Satanic ritual abuse
No it isn't. If I wreck my car, you might say it was mutilated. If I polish my car, you might say it was circumcised. 😃😄😅

Is it true the ancient Egyptians practised Circumcison years before the Israelites ?
Yes
Then no woman can be identified in this covenant at all.
Jewish woman feel each other and they don't need a corporal change for that; why?

Thank you for the explanation Rabbi Brener.
Hey rabis, circumcision predates abraham.
Of course it did. How else would Abraham know what God was telling him to do?

So give us some details. To just say someone is wrong and lacks understanding, and then run away and hide is not brave. And intellectually dishonest.
