ESP LTD MH 100 Review & Demo

Today, we are taking a look at a new guitar I picked up on Guitar Center used for under $200! An ESP LTD MH-100. This is a budget shredders dream! I think LTD fills the gap between Jackson and Ibanez very nicely for the 24 fret, S type shred guitar. Another interesting feature that this guitar has, at least for me, is a floating trem or Floyd Rose. I have only owned one other guitar with a Floyd Rose trem and I didn't really care for it. I decided to give them another try, though with this one. So, I obviously like the guitar, but how do I feel about the trem after owning an equivalent?

I have the red quilted maple version. It’s basswood. I re-fretted with jumbo frets and a good 3 hours of hand work. Gotoh bridge and tuners and bone nut and emgs. Plays great and feels similar to my higher models. Love the non painted neck. Scored on that.

I love the blue! In overall terms of bang for buck, build quality, and looks; those older Korean made LTD's are at the top, IMO. I have an early 2000's H-400 which is dang near flawless.

I still using my MH-100, I just replced the Humbuckers into EMG's, the tremolo right now must be replaced, however the guitar is really nice.

For a cheaper guitar, it rips! LTDs are always great though, in my experience.
