I buy too many guitars, amps and pedals, so I have to make videos to try and get that money back so I can viciously repeat the cycle.

This Dean Has a MAJOR Issue | Make Guitars Shred Again
Donner has out strated the strat with this one. I have the sunburst one with the humbucker. The finish looks amazing. I have several squier Strats and this is my favorite. I will get the fiesta red one as well. Squier can’t compete with Donner. You get a gig bag with every guitar. I got my DTS 600 used for $150. I would pay full price for this guitar.
They seriously give the Squiers a run for their money with the features and everything. If you buy the red one, use my code and get that 15% off!
@ I will. I appreciate it.
i’m curious what would happen if you have like 3 or 4 of these running at the same time for a band. would they all interfere with eachother? since there’s no channel selection, how do they connect without connecting to the wrong one?
Good question. I imagine they would all connect with no issues, but on the flip side, they may all interfere with each other. Who knows!
The Rok Loks are great! I have them on all my straps, no issues at all.
I agree. I use mine all the time!
Or if you actually bought it in 1997 and it's number starts with 96. Like mine.. I wonder how much a New like condition is worth.. It's spent most of it's life in a case.
I like it, but am I the only one tired of seeing mor distortion pedals hit the market? Theres just already tons of distortion that come out but dont innovate on anything
The pedal market is extremely saturated. You're not the only one, trust me.
Awesome work!!
Just picked mine up at the pawn shop today for $325
Nice!
Maybe a silly question but can you run it without a cab just as a headphone amp?
I didn't think you could, but yes you can. Since it has a solid state power amp, it can be used as a headphone amp.
@@Electric.Flamingo Very cool! I'm very torn, I was considering a Sonicake Matribox or something for a headphone practice setup but the sound of the Zombie II just seems to blow all of its presets out of the water to my ears
@homerghost if you want a "one trick pony" and a great pedal platform, the Zombie is the way to go. If you want a "jack of all trades" the Matribox has can be fine-tuned to sound awesome! I have a video on the Matribox if you haven't seen it yet, but it really is what you "need.".
Honestly, I think that pickup is a GFS. I've never seen a humbucker-sized Filtertron anywhere but there. If you don't like it, I recommend getting a T-Top pickup from Brandonwound Pickups. Boutique quality at Duncan prices or less. The owner even got hired by Gibson to come out with a whole line of pickups. He's my favorite builder and I'm 54. I just hope Gibson doesn't buy out his company and raise the prices. Best pickups I've ever had by miles. Get an aged nickel T-Top or whatever, they have a few options and you'll be stoked. That's the pickup that would have been in Angus's SGs. I love Filtertrons but I think the T-Top will be a better fit for that guitar.
A properly cut quality nut is the best mod to do immediately. The most important thing to help tuning stability. Mine rarely go out of tune.
Exactly. Its a mod that a lot of people overlook.
@@Electric.Flamingo Get a Brandonwound T-Top for that bad boy. You'll be stoked. Best humbuckers I've had. Better than the other boutique makers I've tried. Perfect for that guitar. But I have 3 sets of his all different kinds. And they are all great. Family-owned, guaranteed, super nice, and responsive. He'll wind to whatever you want. I have to pimp him out to everyone because of how happy I am with the whole experience.
that thing can chug along fine
Oh yeah, it's a player for sure!
Is it good to practice songs in other tunes if I don't have multiple guitars?
If you use the detune function, yes. Or just tune your guitar to whatever it is you're playing. Either way!
Lekato-Ganza!!!!
Yeah man!
@@Electric.Flamingo Black Tank and Pitch Box are also names for "your mom". LOL
That is correct. 🤣
@ So once you review them all, you can put them all on one board and call it The "Your Mom's House Pedal Board" 🤣 Might have to put a Big Muff on there too.
@Sean_Plays_Guitar that's actually genius. 😂
Great🎉
Thanks! ⚡️🦩
@ Hey i had a question. Is the back of the amp just open like that?😂 i mean is that normal?
Thinking of picking up a Micro for my 8 year old. He is learning acoustic and wants to go ‘rock and roll’. I am willing to invest in him having equipment to play on while he decides to stay with it. I can get a used MiKro pretty cheap local. Would you think 10-52 for a young player too (not bending or shredding YET).
Absolutely recommend it. That would be comfortable for him and can help him when he does start to dabble in bending/lead playing. I say go for it!
I buy guitars every day never run across deals like you guys say you do
I got receipts, man. Its all luck of the draw, I guess. I typically don't buy anything unless it's a deal, things like this come along sometime and I happen to be the first to get it.
what about liquid etape that dries? If that is ok will use a combo of each... don't want to desolder connections where i cant get the heat shrink so will prob use the etap e there
I don't know about that, to be honest with you
@ will playing jostle the wires? Or would that just effect the tune? Im no pete townshend but i dont want to shake anything loose.... ty
@gillandro2 as long as they are soldered correctly, you'll be fine to jump around as much as you'd like!
@ also if the pick ups dont sink easily in the cavity i should sand the sides where the metal would rub?
@gillandro2 sanding the body could help with that
that was my plan....i just wanted to protect solder connections....where possible will even try to use heat shrink if i can...thank you.
Even better! Heat shrink is a better option, in my opinion, but either way works!
And a couple days ago the Chinese bought the majority of the company :( This is truly the beginning of the end.
Sounded great thru the zombie.
Agreed!
If you compare guitar va guitar would you choose this over a Yamaha pac012 or 112?
Tough call there, to be honest. Every Yamaha I have ever played has been great! Same with Donner, though for the most part. I would say maybe the Yamaha would have better QC in the long run and the tremelo would certainly be better on the Yamaha. If that helps at all
Thanks man, definitely does help. Looking to invest once in the next little while. Seems like Yamaha might be the right choice. Great vid btw, got yourself a new sub.
@alexv8203 glad I could help, thanks for the question and checking everything out! ⚡️🦩
the Joyo - Jam Buddy is wayyyy better!
Agreed! I love mine!
Short answer, no. Not even close.
I like guitar center but I hate selling anything to them because they always offer me bottom dollar that’s just my experience Example I have a fender squire strat they only want to give me 20 dollars that’s ridiculous I understand there trying to make money but you can’t even get a used squire stat for under $150 at guitar center in fact you can’t even get any guitar for under 100 dollars at guitar center come on I’m not asking for top dollar but it’s worth more than that especially considering you can’t even get a squire guitar for under 150 dollars at guitar center
This is either hate bait or you have to broaden your horizons man
So is it better than the Line 6 Helix? You didn't answer your own question. I would assume not, otherwise it wouldn't have been a clickbait question, but a clickbait statement.
Tighten up the saddle screws I have a edge 3 and that was the fix for me. Now I can beat the strings and dump the bar down all day now and stays in great tune.
isn't this a Hotone Ampero with a different branding? Just looked at the manual. Looked to a description of one of the models. It's the same exact copy that the ones in the Hotone Ampero.
Perhaps. I'm not experienced with the Hotone stuff to know whether it is or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. Brands like this make clones of other brands all the time.
thank you for the review ❤❤❤
Anytime! ⚡️🦩
My mom is dead !
I'll send flowers.
@Electric.Flamingo thanks....
Can you do a tutorial on how to update the Matribox 2 pro? I use windows and I’m having some trouble updating
Try it as a boost for the gain channel
I have since making the video. It works wonders, sounds great!
@ I have the same amp with all kind of budget pedals I’m pretty much a budget guy as well great video btw
Thanks for the review. I've been looking at this guitar for a possible purchase but the color is throwing me off. Dependent on the lighting it goes from orange/yellow to reddish amber like a faded burst, which is what I'm looking for.
It can vary from guitar to guitar, mine was more of mix but generally speaking, they will be more lemon-burst than anything. Check Sweetwater, they do a pretty good job of getting different variations!
Hey....how'd you know my mom's name!??
It's what I have her as in my phone. 😉
@@Electric.Flamingo 🤣
I just got the Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s in Lemon Burst from Sweetwater. I am astounded by how good this guitar looks, plays, and feels. Does it feel and sound better than my two $2k Fenders? Well, yes, it might and it cost $649.
They truly are a lot of guitar for under $1000!
That guitar is dope😂also nice solo man!
Thanks!
I love the color of the white pickup as well- matches perfectly with the Epiphone lettering and the pickguard. If i was to by this guitar outright I would say - of course it should have come this way.... 👍👍✅👍👍
Agreed!
I got the temu knock off kit... now i am not expecting an amazing guitar, picked up the kit since i have a les paul jr i got with the ps3 rock smith bundle a few years ago and figured i would screw around with the temu one... the thing i am asking about is the springs in the back.... i watched them build the kit and the claw part at the back where the springs hooked onto didnt seem to be screwed all the way in... is that part supposed to be flush with the body wall or is it meant to have some wiggle room? Thank you sir
It doesn't have to be flush, it all depends on how the guitar sets up. Sometimes, you need to screw the claw all the way in, say if you are using thick strings and the trem is pulling up. Lighter gauge strings won't put the bridge as much and you compensate by loosening the claw in the back. Hope that helps! I have a series on my channel that is about set ups and stuff, if you want to look into those! Feel free to ask more questions if need be!
@ thank you... i saw someone build one from temu parts and they did it flush.... as to strings i was thinking of keeping the stock strings as spares and grabbing real ones from a local shop....*hits subscribe*
@gillandro2 absolutely! Keep those as spares. Thank you very much, I'm glad I could help!
@ btw bought a wireless cable set, and an amp... think the stock cable that came with the kit is any good if i decide to or need to use a wire some day? Thank you
@gillandro2 it's fine. I use those "cheap" cables all the time for pedalboards and guitars, never had a problem with them at all.
M vave has 30 slot
Good to know. If I can get in touch with M Vave, perhaps we can look at that one.
Unfortunately you just do not have the mental capacity to understand what truly makes it beautiful. Plenty of people in the comments have given insight, but if you just don’t have the ears for it you won’t get it. He is not playing the guitar there he is painting images of the realities of war from his brain, to his fingers, to his guitar, and finally into our minds for those of us capable of hearing it. Put the fork down and do some studying maybe you will get it.
hi! does this work with a bass guitar? just for practice. thanks!
Yes, it should be fine for bass!
Pretty cool axe! I feel like I would still replace the pickups with some active EMGs, lol.
I don't blame you if that was an initial upgrade!
The f is an IR
All I heard was 11 slightly different but equally bad fuzz tones. I mean, Jack White would dig it, but I already have a great fuzz. Hard pass.
Not meaning to be negative, and maybe it is because this is on youtube, but as someone who has several of these amps and has played many of the other ones, I am not hearing anything that is charectoristic of these amps whatsoever. Each setting seems to change the eq very slightly - VERY SLIGHTLY like less than any pedal I have used.
I also noticed that as well. Again, I could have been doing something wrong with this myself. I am trying to experiment more with it and figure it out for the time being, but that is why I didn't "hype it up" and talk about the major tone shifts. In this case, this was what I could get after messing with it.
finally a kramer everyone loves and does not end up on discount at every music store. "let's only make 75 of them and not do a second run" wtf kramer? luckily i snagged one from a guitar shop online. yes i know, sweetwater exclusive, got mine unplayed with original everything for $1200
My fellow hot dogger! lol.
I sent em an email I know a person that wants to start learning but they may prefer a left-handed they're sort of ambidextrous but I think they are left-handed mostly, I'll take them to the Guitar Center where they can try some left and right-handed guitars
Best piece of advice for that person, find what's comfortable before buying anything. You never know! If you come back the this one as a first guitar, it's a great option!
Well that is 6:44 of my life on a wasted video I'll never get back. He sat there and warned you not to order from guitar center. And then in all he gets what he wants. What the hell was the video made for clickbait. Dumb
What are the strings for the clean?
What do you mean?
Man, sonicake has been doin' the Flamingo Flock right lately!! This thing is awesome. I am married to my PodGo at the moment, but if I were looking for one of these kind of units, it would be high on the list based on the tones you're getting.
It's a great piece of kit. The "intro" patch, the one you get when it starts up, it's incredible. Sold me on the unit immediately! I have to check out some more of their stuff if it's this good.
@@Electric.Flamingo We should live stream about it. Run through some tones. Compare some of their presets with the PodGo presets...eh? eeeehhh? LOL
@Sean_Plays_Guitar tell ya what. I'm carving out some time for that. It'll be next week, but I'm doing it. Pinky promise this time. Let's do it!
@ My man! Looking forward to it brother!
Get the Pocket Master before they sell out. They are 65 bucks and it will be the best 65 bucks you hace ever spent! I promise you!
