You might be able to give the doors a farmhouse look and sell them as wall art decor
Great, great idea! Thank you for sharing it 😊
Love that idea
TOTALLY
I was thinking the exact same thing!!
Always save parts for the next upcycle 😉
I've been binge watching you. Dave Ramsey needs to give you a shout out!! Lol To pay off your student loan, you've worked very hard. I know you have been raised right and your parents are proud.
That’s awesome 😊 glad you are enjoying our content! Dave Ramsey is awesome, one day I hope to run into him!
Thank you for your kind words - my mom and dad will appreciate those comment 💕
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher you're very welcome!👍

I agree rather than her relying on the govt to do it she is doing it on her own. You always feel better knowing you have accomplished something on your own.
@@dianebeland3290 She has the resources to start a project like this. It's admirable, but she started from a place of relative privilege and has a marketable appeal. It doesn't take away from what she did, but some people don't have one of those elements or another.
I have wallpapered some backs on some bookshelves and what I did was remove the back, stick the wall paper on there and then nail the back back on.
Ahhhh, interesting! (: I like that idea!
If the back can come off. Some do not have that kind of thin board on the back, You would actually have to take the whole piece of furniture apart on all my cabinets. It is a good idea however.
You can put the wallpaper on a piece of MDF, then using double-sided tape to hold it in place. The shelves will also keep the “false back” in place.
Yes that is what I would do...
😎From AZ...Awesome ideas on how to attach wallpaper, etc to bookcase inside back or cabinets. For example; I use IKEA Billy bookcases often for many of the rental homes I have owned and they are great to carry a heavy load per shelf and now come in prepainted colors. I removed the backing, papered and carefully re-nailed the back on with tiny nails. Great updated look for staging with minimal decor pieces or tenants books etc.
For the doors, buy four antique stair stiles, cut to the same length and attach to the bottom of the door. You now have a boho chic glass table
Good idea
Looks fantastic! and btw, as an Australian who never sees them, I was so excited to see a squirrel in your front yard!
😀 love that! He was popping by and hung out with us for awhile! Thanks for watching!!
But you guys have Koala's and Kangaroos! Have a blessed day!
@@donnabradley765 for a lot of Australians seeing kangaroos and koalas is pretty rare, so that is special to us too, unlike squirrels which seem to be everywhere. My in-laws thought I was a bit odd with my squirrel obsession when I first visited them In the states; they like them too but see them so often.
Likewise from Australia.....saw the squirrel and rewound! Only time I saw squirrels and had one sit on my lap was in New York City.
I’ll start a new channel posting videos of the random fauna around my home! Squirrels grow on trees around here! Haha Hope y’all will join! All the best 😀
Next time try using a fabric steamer and place weights on the door overnight I think it would harden straight
I will make sure to make note of this for next time. Thanks for the idea 💡
There are several beautiful craft projects you can do with those beautiful doors. Sell them separately, and you'll make so much more money than if you would have kept them on your project!
Save the doors and use them for another project. With your creativity, I know you can come up with something fun.
Great idea!
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher I agree, the doors could be a wall treatment for many people like old vintage doors for home decor.
Exactly what I thought.
@@sherry1674w oh, good idea!!
I thought the same. Maybe get a few boards and make a cabinet to put one of the doors if you can’t use both. Sometimes those cheap shelving units can be cut up to size and glued to make a new cabinet.
I bet you’re a great KG teacher Lauren.
The way you care for and pay such attention to each piece you upgrade, (and care you take to explain to us)tells me you’d probably take that to your classroom also. Much love from retired school principal in Spain who is now learning from you
I love how you are embracing what you like to do, sometimes even if it is a bit pricey, it's totally worth it!
Totally worth, no doubt it!
Thanks for watching Keiry 😊
Omg I have this same hutch in my garage and was thinking about selling it as is but now I guess I'll be flipping it, thanks.
I love it . The squirrel appearance made me laugh . Also think your streets houses look quite European compared to how us Europeans usually see American houses represented. I’m also delighted to see your subscribers numbers continue to increase. Your hard work is paying off 🎉😀🏴
The hinge"is being a little bougher"....definitely kindergarten teacher words lol! Wear safety glasses when pulling things out. Sometimes things go flying.
Great job. I would like to add a helpful tip: Paint the bottom edge or the the top of an armoire or shelf unit if they have a curved top or curved trim. Those edges are exposed when viewed from the side. It is a small touch but worth it.
Oh yeah the gold............ squirrel 🐿️!
You are so thorough. I love how you deep clean and not just cover over. You deserve every $ you make.
I really like what you did with the hutch. Looks so much better without the doors. The only thing I didn't care for was the wallpaper. I think it would look so much better without it. Great job !
Same here. I think the wallpaper might not be as versatile, kinda hard to match it with your existing pieces. Just my 2 cents though💁♂️
I am 77 years old. You are teaching so much about woodworking. I am Turning my small china cabinet into a coffee bar. Can’t wait to get it finished today.
Hi Lauren - if you place a rubberband over the head of the screw it gives the screwdriver something to hold onto which helps get the screw out.
I love your work and really enjoy following your journey.
Awesome tip! Thank you for that.
And thank you for watching and sharing your kind words 💕
Lauren, what sets your channel apart from all the others is that you explain the seliing process and give us the numbers at the end. Telling us to go to instagram doesn't cut it. Can you do your projects the week before, would that help? I love your work and your vibe, great job!
I do hope to get to that point. But as you know, I am a full time teacher so it just becomes pretty tough to get ahead at this point with my teaching responsibilities. My market doesn't always respond to outside of the box colors (anything but grey & white) so quickly!
Thanks for your comments but for the moment this is the best way for us to continue on the story of the pieces if they don't sell by their video release on YT. We are releasing monthly compilation videos that recap everything sold for the month.
Thank you for watching and supporting FFT ☺️
The recap really does the job honestly for me... I do get the satisfaction on the day!!!! I sure wish youtube let you IM with your subscribers.... And exchange photos
@@rachelchenoweth5748 I encourage you to follow us over on instagram as well! This will allow you to message me freely and I will be able to respond as time allows (: Thanks for watching!
finally someone with some cool sanding music. :)
I had a step stool like the white one you have, when I was a kid....my brother use to use it as a toddler high chair....oh how things have changed....great job on the hutch, lovely color too!!...I really appreciate the name of the color, "in the navy".... hilarious, but fitting!!...
that's some impressive videography! neiman is getting good!
Very, very good. I do like how he is making a "cameo" appearance now and again. There is no "I" in Team. 🌻
Hey Meghan, Neiman here!
I’m glad you found a liking to it. As we make more of these videos we are really starting to find a flow and aesthetic. Can’t wait to bring more and more higher quality productions to you all! Makes my heart happy when it’s noticed. Thank you and blessings 🙌🏽
I have to keep it to a limit, I don’t want to scare off too many of Laur’s fans 😉

Such a cute, fun little hutch. Always good when you learn things in the process and glad you pointed out to look for missed spots when you flip the piece over. There are always missed spots on the underneath! LOL. You are having an amazing journey! Thank you for bringing us along with you. Keep up the great work!
Glad the doors came off - it looks better without them 😍
I personally think it would’ve worked both ways but definitely feel it looks much more modern without them !
Thanks for watching 😊
Absolutely beautiful! I love that you left the shelves unpainted, because when you opened up the bottom cupboard it all went together. Great job!
Really lovely !!!!! Wonderful work Lauren !!!
Love how this turned out 😃👍
For the doors, have you heard of Rustoleum Mirror Effect? You can use it on the glass, paint the wood gold, sell them as wall decor or use them as staging props 😊
Awesome job. Looks fantastic! Love the choose of wallpaper!
Came out awesome Lauren.. Awesome job.
That really looks great. Love the wallpaper choice, the color is so nice for that piece. Take care.
Suchhhh a good color! Now I need me a coffee bar.
Love navy and greens. looks amazing. You always do awesome work.
Beautiful love love the color!!
Love the Navy, raw wood and the gold. Great job Lauren! ⭐
Big fan love these finishes. Very inspiring
Great color it will go with so much. TFS all the details.
Love your work! your videos are giving more motivation and inspiration to start flipping furniture too!
Amazing - looks great!
That piece of wood that supports the shelf is called a cleat. Instead of paper on the back, you could always stencil a pattern for no cost. Looks beautiful!
Great job, you did exactly what I thought when I first saw it.
Outstanding. Looks great. Thanks for posting!!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed! (:
This is my favourite flip you've done!😍 Hope it sells fast for you
Like it - I love it 🥰
Girl u read my mind, exactly what I wanted to..great job!!
I’ve been looking for how to do this exact thing for my dorm room in college!!
I applaud you for your hard work. Love the color and the final product! Well done! ❤️
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it Lauren...inspiration for me to do the wallpaper for my small bookshelf.

Absolutely stunning job Lauren!
You're the best! Thank you! (:
Lauren love your work..Especially that table set with bench was fantastic work..Keep up the hard work..
Such a cute idea
Idea: for the next time you have to try a big area of wallpaper like that, maybe buy a sheet of thin hard board, cut it to size, stick the wallpaper to that and install it into the hutch.
I absolutely love this!
It's beautiful! You did a great job with the whole piece.
Thank you Dawn 😊
Congratulations!!! So proud of you.. You don't know how with inspire me!! Continued Success to you ☺️
I love your final project I think it's definitely worth what you're asking for Hope you get it.
You do the most beautiful work 🤩
I think it turned out great love the deep blue very nice
You're a good teacher! Thanks for your help. I'm looking forward to redoing my chalk painted china hutch and convert it to a coffee/tea bar.
This is my favorite piece I've ever seen you do. I'm going to copy your color story on my piano 😍
Beautiful!
Looks really nice
For difficult repairs and holes instead of wood filler use bondo it works great
May have to look into that. Thanks for sharing
Lauren, this is so beautiful! I love the wallpaper you chose. Beautiful paint color.
Thank you so so much Suzanne 🤗 I am so happy with how it turned out!
Oh good work. It’s nice.
Love it Lauren and the wall paper looks fab❤️ I have a dresser I want to do up and you’ve given me some ideas.
Yay! Thank you! Glad you got some ideas! (:
Excellent work. Great vision on this one.
Thank you very much 😊
turned out great!
Very nice job on this hutch. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. I’m just starting out flipping furniture and then it got super cold. I can’t wait to get my garage ready.
Good job. Love it
Your mom sounds cool to hang out supporting you!! Also I'm Enjoying learning from you!!
I LOVE it! Glad you kept the shelves natural. They were in good shape and it really adds a lot to the piece. I am sure you will sell it in no time!
I am really loving the Navy blue color, lately. I have a dresser I am going to be re-doing, as soon as the weather gets nice, and that is the color I have, in my head, for it. Thanks for the great tips.
This looks awesome! Can't wait to start painting furniture for my channel!
Thank you! Good luck painting (: It's addicting!
Love this!
This piece turned out beautiful. I could see doing something like that. Very nice!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

Looks really lovely. The paper turned out very classy.
Thank you! I love how it pulled together! (:
Awesome job!
Very cool! Well done💖
Thank you Kim 😊
Learning so much from you. Thanks for what you do. Have learned a lot. I have an old cedar chest with a damaged top. Now I know what to do. Thanks for what you do. Keep going. YEAH
Beautiful piece of furniture you have created!
Thank you so so much Linda 😊
I love it!
You do an incredible job with pieces I would NEVER think I could bring around to sell. Removing the bottom skirt from chairs makes SUCH A DIFFERENCE. Thanks for the ideas!
Very good job on this one as well. I like the way that it turned out and I think the raw wood does make it pop.
Hi Lauren, I really enjoy your videos and your work. Well done, don't stop. Itmlools as if your business is growing fast.
Very nice job. I love it. I like that color blue.🙂
Good Evening Lauren, Great Job! Love that you kept the shelves Natural! The wallpaper is interesting and goes well with the Color you have painted it. Awesome. It should sell quickly. Much success to you with this sale. Sherry :)
Thank you Sherry 😊 happy to hear you enjoyed the final result - thanks for watching!
Love, love, love this navy color. The natural wood on the inside looks better than if it was painted. The wallpaper really adds to this coffee bar and I love the pulls. A great piece. Thanks Lauren !!
Love this...great job!
Thanks so much!
I'm rewatching this for the molding of the missing veneer--got an old antique table with chunks off the bottom of the legs! Thank you for all your advice and hard work helping with all of our questions!
Goo Gone is a must for any sticker residue. LOVE your projects :o)
Super exciting to see you doing a big piece like this. I think it turned out great!! Based on your recommendations I got a second hand Bissell ProHeat to clean our own vintage wing back chairs, our family room couch and a storage bench I am planning to try flipping.
Great idea, using the leaf blower.
Those doors could be flipped into wall art. The before and after is beautiful!! And the door knobs you picked is exactly what I envisioned in my head!! Great job!!
