What are the sacraments?

Maybe you’ve heard there are 7 sacraments? Or maybe you remember learning about them growing up… but what exactly are the sacraments? Are they more than the simple actions and words involved? Through the sacraments Jesus makes himself visibly and tangibly present to us and the world around us. The sacraments allow us to experience divine happiness, or sanctifying grace, through participation in the life of God. This is definitely something to look deeper into.
