Hey everyone, So sorry for the pricing goof! No excuses! The same principle applies. The question of whether to get an X95K on sale won’t matter when they run out (soon). So keep that in mind! Thanks for all the comments! What should I do next?
WHERES THE HISENSE REVIEWS BUDDY... THE NEW TVS ARE OUT ALREADY !!!!! U8K MAINLY WHAT I'M WAITING ON. Really want to switch from samsung qn90a. Way too much blooming...
Love your reviews! Other than the larger size and superior backlighting, does the X95L have additional updates, improvements etc. from the X93L? (It looks like the X95L has something called XR Clear Image, which the 93L does not have.) If so, any chance there will be X95Ls in smaller sizes? I watched a review of the X95L compared to the Samsung QN95C and it seems to me the X95L is the best mini LED I have ever seen and the only non-OLED TV I would consider, even though I don't really have the space for such a large TV. It just looked that good. I do think that each year TVs seem to evolve. I am not sure they owe us that, but maybe if there is not a major evolution from one year to the next, they can lower their prices. With the advent of MLA and the improved QD-OLED, TVs are just next level the last couple of years. And it seems to me the X95L is as close to OLED as a mini LED can be with great brightness, great blacks and no blooming. Oh, I almost forgot! I have often wondered if the TV manufacturers would include a soundbar with their TVs. The panels are so thin! How can the speakers be any good? I don’t think any TVs have good sound.
The music volume level is a lot higher than your mic feed in this video. I end up having to hold the volume knob on my speakers to turn it down every time there is a cut scene .
I believe that if they can't upgrade tvs year on year then they should not release new models until they have a substantial upgrade to the technology to justify price increases.
Except the X93L is less expensive at launch than the K version was. Still a disappointment that they just added some software tweaks and called it a day.
Why shouldn't they it's business you never get job at Sony Samsung LG for fuck sake people with TVs as old 2016 might want 2023 model because it would be better.
Thank you for the review! Bought the X95K 65" in Japan at around $2000 US a couple of months back and the blooming control with firmware updates has gotten better, and the new update brought the X93L features such as Eco dashboard and Game bar for the X95K today. In HDR the image can bloom a bit too much for my taste in dark scenes, but other than that, the TV is an absolute beast. I think the next one I will buy is the successor to X95L at 85". Sony is quality, no matter what people say. Also, it would be lovely if you can share your simple "calibrated" settings (including color!) for each Sony TV review. Especially with Sony TVs the panel quality is so similar, that it would be great to test out them at home to see if the colors improve.

Yes, with the sales price on the X95K, it's cheaper and probably just as good. What I wish more reviewers would spend some time on is ABL and watching sports like ice hockey and football. From what I can glean, the OLEDs have aggressive ABL which makes watching hockey on them a little disconcerting. That seems to be one of the benefits with sticking with a mini LED set like this Sony.
Yeah, I have the 80L OLED, the difference in picture quality is noticeable though. I used to want a brighter TV yet, as I’ve got older, I’m thankful it isn’t as bright.
@@TheMerlin1984 I feel the same way. I've had some Sony LCD TVs in the past that produced truly beautiful images but were so bright that they hurt my eyes. My Sony A80K OLED has been a wonderful change from that. The gorgeous picture it produces is more than bright enough for my taste, even when watching HDR.
@@LDBetaGuy At first I couldn’t take to the Sony, but after a while I much prefer it and like how stunning the picture is able to get. The A80k will also be getting the game menu in a software update . Did you know that? 👍🏻

@@brkbtjunkie Wow, it’s that bad? That sucks because a lot of games these days have huge bright landscapes. Going back and forth on B2/C2 or the 2023 TCL or Hisense myself.
I don’t expect too much year after year but I do expect an iphone-like supercycle upgrade every 3-4 years in which there’s a definite perceivable difference.
If no improvements are available the next year, then they should just offer the same TV model number and decrease the price slightly. For example, Ram launched a new pickup truck several years ago with a new frame, suspension, engines, etc. It was much more expensive. So in order to compete at the bottom of the market, they continued to build and sell the old truck and labeled it “Classic” and sold it at a hefty discount for several model years.
To me upgrades depend on the individual tv. If there's genuine improvements to be made then absolutely, these should be incorporated. However, upgrades for the sake of it or meaningless small differences to me are pointless. I would rather see price points improve and a model continue for more than a year. When a significant and worthwhile improvement comes about then incorporate it. Otherwise why bother. Are manufacturers really telling me that their last year's model is suddenly, genuinely inferior?
I would agree with all the comments saying that if a company is going to release new product every year, they have to offer some major improvement over an existing model. I always wonder how much money and resources could be saved -- and how much that savings could be passed along to the consumer -- if manufactuers simply didn't release new hardware with minor updates every year.
It seems logical that a company can't just come out with quantum leaps year after after. But steady improvement should be expected. Nit Nerd merch definitely.
I just bought a 65 X95K a couple months ago for $1599 off Greentoe, I thought about waiting for the reviews but I just relied on an interview with a Sony rep that an X93L is the same TV. It's been an excellent experience, there is some blooming, but it's only obvious with white text on a black background, and only mildly annoying with subtitles, but the upscaling, color and brightness are all great! They also just pushed a software update yesterday that gives the X95K the X93L's software features (game bar, eco dashboard). My biggest complaints have been (1) the lack of 1440P 120 Hz support (I have an HDMI 2.0 graphics card), (1.5) The lack of VRR support on the HDMI 2.0 ports (2) there's some wonkiness with my soundbar (JBL 5.1 Wireless) which I've had to soft reset once or twice, (3) Google TV's basic mode seems impossible to enable, has the feature just been discontinued? But overall it's an awesome TV. I highly recommend it if you don't watch lots of subtitled content. I normally have subtitles off so it's a great fit for me. The 75 X95K for $1999 on Greentoe seems like an even better deal, that size just didn't fit in my apartment.
As to your question… I don’t think TVs should have notable or revolutionary updates yearly. The mass majority do not update TVs that often, it is very cumbersome to replace, very expensive to do yearly & and it can’t be that good for the environment to have so many TVs scrapped every year. The last point is an issue with phones so I would have to imagine doing it with TVs would be exponentially worse.
As usual great video Caleb as usual, this is my favorite UA-cam channel for learning about new TVs! Changing the model number without making any changes typical marketing inflation and ripping off the customers!
I didn't want to wait for the 2023 models and I wanted the price cuts. So I bought from Best Buy a Certified Pre Owned Excellent Condition Sony XR75X95K for $1,950 back in February and I absolutely love and am 100% satisfied with it. I didn't need 4 2.1 HDMI ports because I don't game or have a gaming console. I also have young kids and didn't want OLED because of them or to pay the price for one. Very happy with the X95K and anyone who goes with the X93L will be very satisfied. It is a seriously epic TV.
If the year to year improvements to TVS are relevant and make a significant upgrade then yes it's a good thing. We are paying a lot of money for some of these TVS so we should get better performance and features to justify the cost.
I’d be curious to see if the off axis blooming shown was the made worse by your energy setting. Try it in medium and low, rather than off where is going for max brightness.
To answer the question at the end, don't expect major improvements year after year as much as "value" improvements generationally. That could be in the form of updated features, supporting newer standards, improved performance, better power efficiency, or lower cost for similar performance (such as in this case where the X93L is essentially a slightly cheaper refresh of the X95K). This is easier with new technologies (look at OLED in the 2000s to 2010s compared to today). All that said, the companies don't owe it to consumers, they're in business to make a profit and all businesses can be expected to have little to no increased value if the market conditions do not give them that incentive
@@ps4games164 A simple "no" is basically useless to anybody asking a question to gather data and not just posting a poll. Only the first sentence was any sort of prediction, while the rest was clarification and examples, before giving short answer that you shouldn't expect anything from a business without market incentive. If most manufacturers could cut their production cost in half, they would still be willing to double the price for the same exact product if the demand would support it.
I believe substantial update is not the requirment with every refresh. Unlike phones, tv's are not something consumer buys on a regular basis of some years. Once bought, the replacement is usually got once the current one stops working or has major issues. And TV R&D for sure would be high budget constant for manufacturers. And like they say"if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Just keep producing the quality tv's with incremental updates unless a major standard is introduced
Currently have a 55” x90j and overall happy with it but moving soon and looking to upgrade to a 65” TV this year. Looking forward to your review of the x90l too compared to this x93l. Good work as always.
On the merch: yes I’d love some nit nerd gear! On the improvement question: I expect some sort of improvement but that can be features, can be the actual panel tech, image processing or even price but I don’t want to pay the same money for the same TV a year later. I’ll just buy the older model if so. Of course my preference is better tech because I’m a 🤓 but I think this approach by Sony is just fine. And I’m thinking there is probably an A95L coming that will be the improved performance I want to see. Great review as always Caleb!
just bought this tv and I took it back. &5 inch. it was heating up my room . Tv runs hot. 418 watts. My 85 XBR 85x90ch tv runs cool no heat and only 300 watts. Tring to cool my house cost money.
My X93l will Finally get here beginning of the week I wanted a Sony Min LED but don’t have space for an 85 inch so a X95l was not a possibility. coming from a TCL where the only way to get rid of soap opera move it to put it into game mode that means most of the pictures settings are locked off, I’ll so excited
Still loving our 75inch X95K for the living room. Its brightness and sound is hard to beat if you're looking for a clean, clutter free living room tv. It is HEAVY though!! When we replace it, it'll have to be for another bright but lighter tv. Maybe QD OLED or G3
I always wait and buy last year's model. We purchased a new-in-box 75" X95K for $1500 this year (2024) in a closeout sale. Love it. As for yearly upgrades: not for us. Unless there is significant changes, why bother. We have 2 older Hi-end Sony 1080p TVs (47" and 55") that have as good a picture as they did when new 12 and 15 years ago. To be honest, the picture on those are as good as the X95K in 1080p. Yes, the X95K is bigger, brighter, and offers 4K, but they're just as sharp in 1080p that 90% of the content is still today. So 12 years later, year over year we have seen little changes not worth the upgrades.
I don't mind if manufacturers sell last year stock, as long as it's cheaper. That said, if I can buy a X95K with a discount, then why not just get that?
As usual SONY is brilliant. Waiting for all the others to debut their TVs with prices and then dropping this BOMB on them with higher quality and LOWER pricing than Samsung and LG? Drop the mike fellas...And before anybody starts the what about Hisense and TCL? Those TVs will NEVER be competition with SONY and will REMAIN the "cheap" price leaders at the lower end of the TV range. They both started that way and cannot change that perception with anybody. Anybody paying $2000+ for one of those TVs is nuts...
What about the differences in the performances of screen sizes of this model. Last year several reviewers acknowledged much better backlight control in the 85” version of the X95K vs the 75” and 65”. Still the same case with the X93L? As far as year to year improvements to, I would rather see older models supported longer, and significant improvements every other year. Sony seems to abandon support for any TVs after just a year or two (and I know they just announced eco and game bar rollouts for older TVs but neither of those help with the operating system or picture quality, who’s going to even turn on eco mode??).
I would like to know also this thing,i have a 65 inch x900h and i want to upgrade it but i hate blooming and in my bedroom i cannot use a bigger size than 65 inch. With the 65 inch x95k having too much blooming,i am wondering also if x93 l in 65 inch have the same blooming like the 65 inch x95k
I wish digital trends could get a collab w/ Value electronics in NYC to showcase the Panasonic & Sharp Displays, the new Sharp Aquos Mini-LED is something im looking forward to hearing more about~
I don't think manufacturer's are obligated to create ground-breaking technology on a yearly basis. I am perfectly happy to see a major brand focus on lean manufacturing, optimizing yield, and lowering cost. If they can launch a brand new model that has the exact same features and specs as the prior year, but is more power efficient, and costs less than a used TV, I would be perfectly happy. Although, they're gonna have to find a good balance because after a couple years of this, consumers will say they're resting on their laurels, and the competition will pass them by.
Sony has much better processing for low quality content such as youtube and Netflix. It's also a lot smoother to operate between menus. However, the Sony price is significantly more expensive at + $700. 😮
The lack of available 2.1 hdmi ports is inexcusable. You have two ports that offer 2.1 and one is an eArc so there goes your connection to the much needed sound bar. Now do I completely rely on the included smart features or use the left over port for that? Oh, and I like a lot of people have a series X console, 4k Blu-ray player, and know other capable hdmi hungry peripherals
I worked at bakery conventions for years and the question that was asked by everyone every year was "What's New?". The public expects improvements and innovations every year. It may not be fair to the TV companies, but that is the way of the world. Otherwise, why have a convention every year? Thank you for your reviews! I just went to Best Buy and was surprised at the poor quality picture on the G3. Now I am looking at the X93l in 75 inch
I am waiting for your comparison of this TV to the 85 inch TCL QM 8 just released before I buy anything. If the TCL for $2200 (current sale price) is even close to the quality of the Sony 95k or 93l I think it will be an easy decision. 😊
Great review as always - but what is the deal with the difference between the music and voice in this video? The music was way loud and the dialogue was quiet. Weird.
Nit Nerd: I've been a nit nerd for a couple of decades since I realized how badly my low-nit tablets washed out anywhere near sunlight. Then, I started noticing TV brightness wasn't all that great, or if the TV was bright, everything looked terribly unrealistic (colors were too saturated). So, I didn't volunteer to be a nit nerd, but I have become one. I suppose a T-shirt is in order.
Depends on if they increase prices or not lower them if nothing has changed. Im ok with higher prices if the tech has gotten better to cost ratio. As well I think when apples vision pro releases it will change how people watch media content. For the price of the 85 inch x95L you could get something that looks like a 100 inches plus in vision pro. Time will tell.
I dont think TV brands need to be improved year after year if theres not much improvement that can be done. I bought a 85" Z9K even after Sony announced their 2024 lineup because it will still be the 8K model and Master Series for this year, and that TV still performs better than most high end 2024 model TVs
There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying last year’s technology at the right price. About 18 months ago, I bought a 65” LG CS for a second home. The price was right and the picture compares very favourably with the C1 I also have. And yes, I would definitely buy nit nerds merch. 🤓🤓🤓
I was going to get a QM8 when I saw the A90J on sale for $1000, Sonys 2021 flagship OLED for $1000 you’d be insane to not buy it at that price. I don’t mind the lower brightness, the processing and speedy Google TV interface is worth going for last years model when it’s such a great model
I mean, the second I saw it, I knew it was just the X95K with a slighlty updated processor. That's not a bad thing as the X95k was and is a heck of a panel. Not sure I'd buy this over an X95K on sale, but once this one goes on sale, it's the better buy.
My only issue with the 85in version of this TvV was as I saw in your unboxing the protective tape was only on the top and bottom. Which makes no sense to me as the cheaper Sony TVs, like the 90L have the tape on all 4 sides. Due to it not being on all 4 sides there were little permanent foam “scuffs” in the anti reflective coating from the packaging. Only visible with a flashlight or bright light put on to see it but unacceptable with a $4k tv. A simple google search shows this is very common and not worth the hassle of the exchange to chance worse.
@@michaeladams1792 I'm probably the last guy to ask. Cause I came from a KS8000. But I have zero issues with low resolution content. I watch a ton of subpar stuff through an Xfinity X1 (XG1v3) which makes it even worse lol. And I have zero issues with sports as well. But if low resolution content and content with motion is something you'll be doing a lot of, I'd still recommend a Sony
I love my 75 inch x95k. I mostly play games and the 93L feature of an in gaming menu was added to the x95k in a software update I also paid only 1800 for my 75inch x95k at an open box rate at Best Buy. No complaints on my x95k
The reason you see the local dimming zone backlights from a steep angle is because of black level rise because it's a VA panel and it has crap viewing angles. When are these mini-LED TVs going to start coming with IPS panels standard?
In Poland we have information that there will be 65'', 75'' and 85'' for x95l . Right now there is 75'' on the market but Caleb said that in USA you have only 85''. That's strange.
Might be my next TV. I currently have a LG C9 and I have some burn in. I'm a gamer so burn in was a risk. Mine-LED might be better for longevity I'm not rich to buy a new TV every 4 years. I just wish they made the X95L into a smaller size I need it for my bedroom to have the latest and greatest but the X93L looks great to.
From business and market perception, renaming and repackaging the same tech, is better then reducing the price of the X95K. It would imply subpar sales performance. The X95L is the new model, but its only available at 85". Next year, expect 65" and so on.
I'm thinking of getting a 65" version for the bedroom. Wish we had gotten the X95L in 65" but apparently Sony didn't seem us worthy. Wait why do so many vendors have the X95L and many owners already. I've already put my order in and I'm getting my 85X95L by Friday.
The more we learn about TVs, and new technology being implemented on them, then we expect more from new models coming into the market. I know there will never be a perfect TV, but reliability and great picture is what want from a TV.
the price and backlight were a problem last year. Now the price is spot on, but the backlight still needs more for me to jump. I am in the disappointment camp that the X95L didn't make a 65" appearance, but that would probably miss the price point anyway due to the increased cost of more backlight zones..., Regardless, I'll probably buy the A95L whenever that finally rolls out, or gets its first sale. Seen the X93L was just under $2k w/ a $200 gift card which is why I was, again, considering the X instead of the A. Thanks for the video.
X93 is brighter, much better local dimming and MUCH better off angle viewing. The X90L only looks good if you are sitting directly in front of it which is why im getting the X93.
I agree - the music is WAY too loud compared to the narration which is quite annoying to be honest :/. Less background music and more focus on the narration please - thanks!
I think they should follow some golf brands, like Titleist and Ping. If it isn’t a step-function improvement, keep the same model and perhaps do enhancements with firmware and the prices come down and down, until the “real” upgrade comes out. I’m holding out hope that with all this processing power, they will bring back 3D. I would buy one tomorrow if they had an HDR 3D 4K TV (OLED or LCD).
TV noob here. Given that there's only a $100 difference between the X93L and the A80L OLED, why would anyone go for the X93L? Does it get brighter than the OLED?
The J was a jump up from the H because of Google TV and some better specs. The K PQ was not better than the J. The L seems to be a marginal improvement from the J/K. If you have a J, wait for an M or N.
a review of Sennheiser Ambeo Max 5.1.4 soundbar with built in subwoofer please. The real question would be, is it really self contained without the need for an external sub? If so, for space saving and tidy setup conscious, that would be terrific.
Caleb, I am curious as to your thoughts… I believe I have seen that this model (and the x95K) uses quantum dots and not PFS Phosfor (Sony’s ‘Triluminous’ marker) - do you think Sony should do more to market this model as a QLED TV? Would that designation earn more attention for this television?
hi Caleb, love your reviews! I have to buy a tv since my samsung q90r just died for the super bowl tomorrow so need to move fast. i'm between a Samsung QN90C and Sony X93L also looked at samsung S95C oled but the room is extremely bright during the day with floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the room so need best anti glare and brightness above all so that might rule out OLED. What would you suggest between those tv's?
The 93L looks fantastic, I'm thinking of buying this over the Samsung 90C. HOWEVER, I'm seriously concerned the Sony will stick out from the wall too far. It is over 2" thick whereas the Samsung is 1.1" thick. What do you think? Am I overconcerned about thickness? I'm planning on getting an untraslim mount (1.1") .
Why are Sonys so good with the acoustic surface audio+ ?? Sometimes I don't wanna put the speaker system on & just go off the tv so why don't other brands put that same effort into sound ?? As far as your question no they don't have to but as long as the price reflects that.
The X93L does NOT have the X clear image processing for better upscaling, it's the only 2023 model of sony TV's to not include it, it's exactly the same tv as the X95K
It would be great if Costco would carry the high end non OLED Sony tv's but they never do. The highest non OLED they seem to carry is the X90 series. Because of Costco's generous return policy and added insurance I will only by tv's there.
They made their fortune out of people's respect. They hyped us for decades with all kinds of ads. The people want the best and waiting for the big companies to make it because they are the only one who can. Yeah, they owe everyone the best. That's their job.

Yeah its scummy
I'm looking into the X95L, please make THAT review as soon as you can 🙏
To me upgrades depend on the individual tv.
Bad for business AND consumers too.
Why don't kids and OLEDs go together? Curious.
If the year to year improvements to TVS are relevant and make a significant upgrade then yes it's a good thing. We are paying a lot of money for some of these TVS so we should get better performance and features to justify the cost.
I just took the plunge and bought this during Black Friday. $400 off seemed great. So stoked!! 🎉
How is it compared to TCL CM8?
Why doesn't Sony offer the 65" X95L in the US?
Vrr plus local dimming running this year is great to hear. That’s a big selling point compared to last years model for me.
LCD TVs loose tons of image quality in game mode who cares. Backlight control needs to be sloppy for input lag to not skyrocket.
Caleb, let us know how this still pricey Sony TV compares to the TCL QM8 and Hisense U8k.
In Spain, the X95L it's available in 85" 75" and 65"
Also Australia
Better than Samsung and less expensive, I’m sold! 😎
And it has Dolby Vision which is a +
QD OLEDs destroyed all TV's this year my friend.
lol…
I am returning the Samsung Qn90b for this tv. It's trash. This is the second time I've returned a Samsung for a Sony
@@TheBeefTrainare you a Samsung hater
I have the x90l and Change to the x95k
@@Uncle_TitusI'm stuck between picking the x95k and this new x93L.. The X95k is currently sale for 1788 and X93L @ 1599.. Which one will last longer?

On the merch: yes I’d love some nit nerd gear!
On the improvement question:
I expect some sort of improvement but that can be features, can be the actual panel tech, image processing or even price but I don’t want to pay the same money for the same TV a year later.
What is With blooming? Is IT noticeable
Great review! Can we have the background music just a bit quieter ~ volume was a little distracting at times. cheers!
Thanks for the content Caleb!
Any updates?
I’m eyeing this one up now at $2700.
On the fence with the QM8 and the QN90c
Got the 85in. Excited to hang on the wall.
I wish digital trends could get a collab w/ Value electronics in NYC to showcase the Panasonic & Sharp Displays, the new Sharp Aquos Mini-LED is something im looking forward to hearing more about~
Caleb the intro music, production value and insights are GOATED. You and HDTV test should do COLLAB ASAP
just picked one of these up. willing to pay premium for more stable reliable experience vs the Hisense/TCL
Need the X95L review!!
It would be great to hear your take on this tv vs the Hisense U8K and TCL QM8
9:47 look at that X95K blooming just like 2022 X95K.
Weird.
My x95k is the best tv I’ve ever purchased for my ps5 and I’m coming from oled.
Would be great if they would be more transparent about Panel type and Nit from the start or on the box
If there isn't much change but the price reflects that, then it's fine.
👏🏾
Are you going to review the Sony X95L? I am looking for that one to buy.
I dont think TV brands need to be improved year after year if theres not much improvement that can be done.
I bought a 85" Z9K even after Sony announced their 2024 lineup because it will still be the 8K model and Master Series for this year, and that TV still performs better than most high end 2024 model TVs
When is the QM8 review? It’s super on sale and I can’t pull the trigger without DT’s guidance!
The play is to ALWAYS buy last years model.
I mean, the second I saw it, I knew it was just the X95K with a slighlty updated processor. That's not a bad thing as the X95k was and is a heck of a panel. Not sure I'd buy this over an X95K on sale, but once this one goes on sale, it's the better buy.
How does this TV's brightness compare to the x95k brightness in both SDR and HDR?
My only issue with the 85in version of this TvV was as I saw in your unboxing the protective tape was only on the top and bottom. Which makes no sense to me as the cheaper Sony TVs, like the 90L have the tape on all 4 sides. Due to it not being on all 4 sides there were little permanent foam “scuffs” in the anti reflective coating from the packaging. Only visible with a flashlight or bright light put on to see it but unacceptable with a $4k tv. A simple google search shows this is very common and not worth the hassle of the exchange to chance worse.
As a TCL QM8 owner, I'm glad I didn't wait around to see what the X93L was gonna be like!
How does ur qm8 do with low bit rate and low resolution content. Cable and sports? Thanks
I mostly play games and the 93L feature of an in gaming menu was added to the x95k in a software update
I also paid only 1800 for my 75inch x95k at an open box rate at Best Buy.
No complaints on my x95k
Just bought a 85in Samsung QN90B (2022) for $2290. Can't beat it. Was just curious what the Sony competition was doing before I sprung the upgrade.
The reason you see the local dimming zone backlights from a steep angle is because of black level rise because it's a VA panel and it has crap viewing angles. When are these mini-LED TVs going to start coming with IPS panels standard?
Looks like nice tv. Shame that don't have 4 hdmi 2.1 ports.
I wonder if there's a substantial difference that the XR Clear Image feature isn't on the X93L compared to all the other models.
Definitely looking for more info on this. Haven't seen anyone address it specifically.
Do you still have to choose between having VRR or Dolby vision?
Meh. Prices are still high. I'll stick with my Hisense U8H for a while longer. I want to go back to OLED but once again the price is crazy.
yes i believe there should be significant changes but until they do this I dont see the need to release a new model every year.
In Poland we have information that there will be 65'', 75'' and 85'' for x95l . Right now there is 75'' on the market but Caleb said that in USA you have only 85''. That's strange.
Big country, big TV.
Nice review guys. Sadly the X93L won’t be getting released in Australia :(
From business and market perception, renaming and repackaging the same tech, is better then reducing the price of the X95K.
I guess because this TV is the best for channels. It processing low res picture much better and I guess that's its only real ace.
I am in the disappointment camp that the X95L didn't make a 65" appearance, but that would probably miss the price point anyway due to the increased cost of more backlight zones...,
Regardless, I'll probably buy the A95L whenever that finally rolls out, or gets its first sale. Seen the X93L was just under $2k w/ a $200 gift card which is why I was, again, considering the X instead of the A. Thanks for the video.
I was considering buying this TV but the rainbow effect from the anti-glare layer is a deal breaker for me.
That Would be Perfect for the PlayStation 5 Pro
Can you please do a comparison video 85x93L vs 85x95L, thanks
I think I speak for everyone when I say I'd love to see a comparison between this and the X90L.
X93 is brighter, much better local dimming and MUCH better off angle viewing. The X90L only looks good if you are sitting directly in front of it which is why im getting the X93.
What about x93l vs x95l, is there a huge difference?
fix your mic or your mixer settings dude. can barely hear you talk but the background jazz music was pretty loud.
How does this sound, any difference to the x95K?
X this X that. Is Sony every going to come out with the A95L
I had same Google home issue setting up TCL QM8
Why are Sonys so good with the acoustic surface audio+ ??
Sometimes I don't wanna put the speaker system on & just go off the tv so why don't other brands put that same effort into sound ??
As far as your question no they don't have to but as long as the price reflects that.
So what about the upscaling? I have read that it upscales everything including broadcast TV. Is it differnt than the X95K?
The X93L does NOT have the X clear image processing for better upscaling, it's the only 2023 model of sony TV's to not include it, it's exactly the same tv as the X95K
Thanks for the review.
Calen, when is the X95L review coming?
We’ve never gotten a X93L and Q8M comparison… I am in the market, I need to know if i should just go with the Q8M or the X93L
It would be great if Costco would carry the high end non OLED Sony tv's but they never do.
The highest non OLED they seem to carry is the X90 series.
Because of Costco's generous return policy and added insurance I will only by tv's there.
Just placed my order this this TV. Looking forward to seeing my PS5 hooked up to it.
TV brands don't owe me anything at any time. But they'll innovate and do it anyway so we're all winners.
They made their fortune out of people's respect. They hyped us for decades with all kinds of ads. The people want the best and waiting for the big companies to make it because they are the only one who can. Yeah, they owe everyone the best. That's their job.
Was there ever an update on this TV? I thought we were going to get some comparisons with other brands and models, and I haven't seen it mentioned since. Have I managed to miss that content?
