I like the X90CL because of its clarity and colors, but I wouldn't mind if it was brighter, had better blacks, and less blooming 😁. This isn't really a "new" TV. This is the X95K rebadged as 2023 "X93L". They are moving old stock or don't have enough of the smaller sizes of X95L so they give North America the shaft and let us buy last years TV with an increased price. That said. Besides the Game bar added is there any changes to panel or algorithm. I know nothing else has changed.

Great review. Unfortunately it looks like there has been no improvement over the X95K in terms of blooming. This was a big issue on the 65” and 75” X95K and the hope was there would be some kind of improvement, at least via software if nothing else. Doesn’t seem to be the case. Seems like it is exactly the X95K with game bar added. For the price they are asking it’s a tough sell. Would love to hear your thoughts on X95K vs X93L, and to see a comparison with the X95L when it’s available. Lastly, I don’t think that Quantumania is the best demo for your audience. It was difficult to see much of anything compared to when you would show Encanto or some other brighter HDR content. Thanks!

Okay, so does anyone have a recommendation for a 65 to 75-inch TV that doesn't cost any more than the X93L and upscales as well as it does but with less blooming, that is NOT an OLED? Maybe a tall order! But I need to replace a TV that I use for both work (doubles as a monitor) and entertainment and that I typically run for 12+ hours a day. (Which is why I don't want an OLED.) So far this looks to be about the best compromise I can find, but maybe one of you knows better. ;)
Yeah dude. Sony x93L has 2150:1 native contrast, the HIsense U8K has like 7500:1 native contrast. It’s like just way more Snappy crisp when close up to tv. The x93L looks good from like 10 feet away. Our rooms are not dark at all but what are you going to do at night time you cannot control the brightness unfortunately! You can turn on the lights on while you’re watching TV but who likes doing that? The room you have the Sony in was very bright in my opinion and the screen was still dark, so what could you do? I had to have my Sony 75” X90K replaced under warranty because the screen started to freeze and then the picture would fade out to black although the audio kept working. Hopefully I have better luck with this replacement TV.
I’ve watched 3 reviews on this TV. The other reviewers did not see the blooming that you did. They used different content, so maybe that’s the difference? They seemed to indicate the TV had very little blooming.
I think it's got to the point now where it makes more sense to buy QDOled, blooming is always going to be a problem, once you see it and know it's there you can not un see it.... Also i can recommend the klipsch reference 400 sound bar, it's not expensive and sounds far better than any TV speakers.....
qd-oled has major burn-in problems though as demonstrated by Rtings. Someone like me who wants to use the same tv for many years that's just not an option.
I can never buy any non Oled tv again.
@@TheEchelon Warranties exist for a reason, non Oled premium tvs at this price make no sense. Oled is the premium
@@TheEchelon omg drop that shit already. They said that so many times on normal WOLED. Bro actually go out and buy one before you speak about how some websites put the tv on full blast for hrs on the same image
@@TheEchelon Thats just not true in real world viewing.
I’ve got the a84L and the remote is backlit for me.
Hey B you mentioned that UA-cam TV looks the worst, what looks the best?
I hope Sony adds the gaming menu to its other VRR TVs.
Na Sony want to force people to buy new ones.
What tv's on the wall?
what tv is on background?
Is this better then tcp qm8
Hello, what do you think of the 85X90CL vs the 85X95K?
I currently have the 85X90CL and I stream 99.99% of the time, but I'm considering buying a PS5 for Black Friday. I like the X90CL because of its clarity and colors, but I wouldn't mind if it was brighter, had better blacks, and less blooming 😁.
Is the 85X95K for $2,600 + mini-led+ more dimming zones worth considering over the 85X90CL for $2,000+ 5 year free warranty + XR Clear?.
Many people say the miniled backlight is a far superior upgrade tha. Xr clear
Looks like the Boston Celtics coach sees the reflections at 16:09 and 16:18 too.
Sony Best technology Japan 👑💖
Samsung and Sony are the best when it comes to mini led tvs but Samsungs the wow and especially with there 8k neo qn900c 😮😅
I know nothing else has changed.
so is this tv from Is this mid-range?Thanks for your beautiful efforts
Nice tv Brian. Is the QN95C better buddy?
Yes
What do you do with the left over tv's
They're piling up.
Can anyone explain to me please I have a Sony OLED a80j with the sonos arc and sub. I have the premiere version of Netflix running on the PS5 I have 4K movies with Atmos but for some reason I still can’t get Atmos on my on my sonos app keeps says Dolby digital plus 5.1
B, the installer, LOOKS LIKE JOHN GRUDEN ,LOL
i have a request 😁, please show OS (Operating System) Version in your Unbox and Review, also show people Internal Storage capacity, thanks
Why did manufacturers move away from plasma? The frame rate makes things look fake on the Qleds
Thanks!
Wouldn’t be surprised if the 93L is just last years 95k. I have the 75” X95k. Yeah there’s blooming but a huge issue? Well not for me.
@@touringband what about with the subtitles?
@@martinchitembo1883 it’s fine for me, but if you look for it then you’ll see it. If you wants zero blooming, then yeah, it’s not for you.
@@touringband I agree i have the 75 as well .. I did the update from April .. and it looks good.. yes there’s blooming but it’s not distracting unless you’re hunting for it .. i think as a total package it’s a good tv, clean panel, good motion.. imo has better reproduction and motion than Samsung QN90B which I had prior to the X95K, image processing is really good,.. overall it’s a good TV
I'm thinking to get the same tv 75
Should I go for it it's $2K OLD model or wait new model price
Drop??
No matter the brightness and no burn in risk...I don't think more than 800 bucks for LCD tech is worth it.
X93L the model name is like downgrade from x95k predecessor?
Beautiful
I love Sony soundbars
Okay, so does anyone have a recommendation for a 65 to 75-inch TV that doesn't cost any more than the X93L and upscales as well as it does but with less blooming, that is NOT an OLED? Maybe a tall order! But I need to replace a TV that I use for both work (doubles as a monitor) and entertainment and that I typically run for 12+ hours a day. (Which is why I don't want an OLED.) So far this looks to be about the best compromise I can find, but maybe one of you knows better. ;)
Hisense U8K 75”. I am not joking. That’s the panel SPOOK SONY in 2023 CES that SONY Tv booth completely empty. The U8K n Qm8 were like so much nicer .
Yeah dude. Sony x93L has 2150:1 native contrast, the HIsense U8K has like 7500:1 native contrast. It’s like just way more Snappy crisp when close up to tv. The x93L looks good from like 10 feet away. Due to lower contrast ratio (native) it has a soft look when close. But thats just me nick picking tho cuz i have those NICE LEDs , my eyes will pickup things when i saw them in person in store :) 😊
@Yoga_Tv_buying I want to purchase a Hisense u8n but idk the reliability of a Hisense
I just want a 70”ish tv WITHOUT google or any of the smart apps just a big 4K tv. I don’t use any of the apps I use an Apple TV or mac mini for my content and I hate that you can’t just use the tv you have to sign in or have it connected to the internet.
I Love the Android Google Apps, I have a 65X900E bought it back in 2017 and have used those Apps since. The Apps work great and you can access any Provider including Apple. With the Sony X1 Processor, it handles all the Apps very nice and you don't need the Apple TV!
You don't need to setup the internet if you don't want to on the tv
My new 65'' 95K arrived this week. The unboxing with my wifey was something like this:
Me: (trying to treat tv with the maximum love)
Wifey: careful, are you going to take it out there? it will break, it will break, ugh how big it is (the tv), it doesn't fit there, YOU'RE GOING TO BREAK IT, BEWARE, oh it's beautiful 💖 BEWARE, take it carefully OH OW OH BEWARE like that, not like that, be careful, you're going to take it by that side? won't it break? are you going to put it there? there it will break, I am convinced, oh it is very pretty 💖, I love it, but it is very big, is it crooked? be careful, seriously it doesn't fit there, oh well it does fit BEWARE
give me patience
Dolby vision isn't deal breaker . there is no WOW factor because of the BT2020 content isn't 100% like dci -p3
Super Sir ❤
My qn90a 85 inch rockssss
Wow, that blooming off-angle is horrible.
If that was our Sony TV that bad boy would be going back to the store it’s way too dark. We have an older Sony and our living room and it looks just as good. Our is very bright and it’s 12 years old. It’s a 62” XBR Bravia screen TV has HDMI but it’s not a smart TV or not a Qled. It’s just a Older LED but we love it so much we don’t want to get rid of it. The screen looks perfect and we’re run it with a AppleTV which is awesome, No complaints here.! It keeps us from buying a new TV because the screen looks so awesome why buy another TV.
We have Samsung 65” and our bedroom, and it’s so bright you need sunglasses that’s for real no joke.
Thank goodness it’s adjustable so you can turn the brightness down really low if you like it dark like the Sony TV. We’re looking at our you can have it somewhere in the middle or have it where it’s so bright like I said you definitely need sunglasses it’s so bright. Our rooms are not dark at all but what are you going to do at night time you cannot control the brightness unfortunately! You can turn on the lights on while you’re watching TV but who likes doing that? The room you have the Sony in was very bright in my opinion and the screen was still dark, so what could you do? You should be happy with your purchase and shouldn’t have to settle with something that’s not to your liking.
Your ancient screen with old tech does not look better than this.....
so the TCL 745 2023 is doing a better job for less money and i`m waiting for hisense U8X
Best tv in world
I am thinking sony will give the u.s the sony x95l 65in and 75in next year and say it a new tv for 2024
Another sony tv with extremely bad blooming just like last year, what a waste of a tv. Yes blooming is inevitable but it doesnt have to be that bad
It’s either that, or poor shadow detail.. Don’t like it? Go with Oled… Oled is King!!
Got this TV and a HT-A7000 coming this weekend. I'll get the Sub and Surrounds later after my wallet recovers.
Horrible blooming at wide viewing angle. this is poor for an almost $4k tv
The problem with Sony and Samsung mini LED TVs is their wide viewing angles. This feature makes native contrast low.
This is why Hisense U8H has better bloom control. Hisense's U8H doesn't have a wide viewing angle feature.
I agree, I hate that that wide angle viewing sh** that Samsung and Sony put on their TV's as well as the rainbow anti-glare.
Добрий день, подивившись Ваш канал, купив Sony x95l 85 дюймів , зніміть будь ласка відео як правильно його налаштувати для перегляду кіно-контенту.
Wow this tv looks awesome what do you think has better picture the oled or mini led i bought the 48” a90k last year it looks awesome. Only thing i dont like is no 1440p for ps5 and lacks brightness other than that its solid.
X93L VS X95L VIDEO PLEASE
Why would you do that? You could have had a C3 at the same price?
Because oleds are like a black hole. No light comes out.
Sony the best
I love watching you and your wife doing these reviews, but c'mon you must know this is NOT a new tv. The x93l is an x95k with a gaming and Eco menu. The upgrade this year comes with the x95l. Clear image processing, more dimming zones, overall improved picture quality, but only available in the US in an 85 inch size. Sony is offending their customers in the US with these decisions.
I'm sure they deem it a new tv.. your issue of its improvement is for Sony.
Downgrade compared to previous Sony models except the aliasing thing. It's the only advantage. The blooming making this TV defenelity not perfect for HDR content.
Wearing shoes inside your home is just criminal..
I agree with you but it's they house
