Pretty hard to imagine that good ol' Bob used to be a First Sergeant in the US Air Force. In his own words, he was "tough" and "mean", and "the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work."
He was a t.i. too. A training instructor at boot camp 🗣🗣
I'm pretty sure, that prior life made him and he wouldn't be the Bob Ross we know without it. He probably exhausted all the bad temperament, anger and other feelings in his early life and became a master of self contentment from it.
I have tried to imagine Bob screaming orders at men while he was a sergeant in the air force. I just can't picture that. I can see him smliling and saying, " OK men, let's make some happy little beds."
My uncle was in the AF same vintage as Bob. Pretty sure their basic training was tasting all the different beers.

I think it's his beautiful voice, and the way he always sees everything as positive! No such thing as a mistake, just a little happy accident ^.^
Plus the paint brush sounds on the canvas, the brushes and knive's on the board.. His warm and welcoming voice. Such a beautiful man with a beautiful soul.

I think that for most people the last time they heard the combination of a caring friendly voice combined with colors and paper sound was in kindergarden and hearing this again brings them back to that feeling of being a worry free very young child.

3:58 bob hasn’t even really done anything yet laid down 2 colors and already you can see the water the pink and blue sky in your head this man was amazing it’s sad that effortless talent like his along with his genuinely nice, warm personality is such a rarity these days. My grama woke me up crying in the other room my dad went to check on her and she was "freezing cold" it's the middle of summer and I'm so hot I'm sleeping with a frozen water bottle I was kinda freaked out then I was about to go back to sleep and put on this video right after the commercial was finished within the transition I heard a clap like someone's hands right beside my face its exactly 3:00Am in the morning I'm so afraid it might of been my water bottle but it was so loud it pierced threw my headphones and my tv it's now been 15 minutes and I'm still shaking in my boots I'm sleeping with the lights on
2 hours ago I watched an alien abduction video and I was like "if that happened to me I would know aliens exist and they are cool" now I just wish I went to sleep hours ago

You're not alone. the best is when he speaks while the brush is making sounds pushing to make bushes. If he could just fill a whole canva with bushes while speaking that would probably hypnotize me.

Aaw I became relaxed in a much different way when starting this video and having had subtitles activated because of an earlier video. I was already in a good-humoured state (being able to laught about really simple things) and when the intro started the subtitles said "Elevator music" and I was in stitches for a good couple of minutes.
