David DeBoer is the Project Manager of the Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA), the Breakthrough Listen program and a member of the research staff at the University of California at Berkeley. He graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 1989, with a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics. In 1995, he graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His thesis work investigated the constituency of the atmospheres of the outer planets.
Wael Farah is the project scientist for the Allen Telescope Array (ATA), a radio interferometer located in Hat Creek, some 5 hours drive north of San Fransisco. Before this position, Wael completed his PhD at the Swinburne University of Technology working on the enigmatic Fast Radio Bursts. Wael's research interests include the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, the study of Fast Radio Bursts, pulsars, the follow-up of supernova explosions, instrumentation, and the development of digital signal processing software
