    This video is “how to” perfection! My son left a vintage coin in his pants pocket. It was stuck in the drain hose just prior to the debris filter. I could see the coin inside the drain hose through the debris filter housing, but could not grab it because it was too large to fit through the debris filter housing. I followed this video step-by-step to disassemble the machine. This gave me easy access to the hose / debris filter housing connection allowing me to remove the coin. Thank you to the makers of this video for a clear concise guide with just the right amount of detail. This saved me an unnecessary and likely expensive service call.

    Thank you so very much for this video. I had a leak from somewhere. It wasn't the usual suspect and ended up tearing into the washer myself. I went back several times to view the steps and it helped so very much. I discovered the leak and now I no longer have a leak. This will be my "go to" site for diy repairs. This grandma is a very happy camper.

    This is THE BEST step by step video I've found for this washer. I've replaced the drain pump twice in five years and this has made it very easy and foolproof. The next time our front loader breaks down I'm going back to a top loader. The mildew smell front loaders develop is really obnoxious!

    Been waiting for 2 weeks to have a repairman come fix the LO error on a Samsung W431AB washer. Extended repair center sent the part but, no local repair center has returned a call to schedule the appointment. Found this video and replaced the mechanism myself. Washer working like new! Thank you!

    Thank you for this video. I checked out others but this is the one that helped me fix the problem which turned out to be just a broken spider. There was no evidence of water intruding through the seal. One should check the bearings by feel before removing the seal unnecessarily. I would imagine most people would ruin the seal removing it as I did. Upon inspection my bearings operated completely smooth with no play side to side. That spider is surely an engineering defect on two levels. First, any water and grime that gets to this area either shouldn't get there to begin with or should rinse out completely. Second, the spider itself should be a solid casting without the channels for crud to build up in or at the very least be coated in some impervious epoxy that protects the metal from corrosion. If indeed the part is strong enough in the first place to handle the stresses it undergoes.

    What a brilliant 5* video. I need to replace the door catch on my Samsung EcoBubble but it cannot hinge back to release the lip because part of the casing is in the way. I now feel confident to remove the front panel and I assume that this will enable the door catch to be replaced.

    With the more modern Samsung washing machines (Including Wash+Dryer Combo) its even easier to take apart, screws at the bottom are now well placed so you no longer need to lift up the unit to unscrew. I had an issue where lint / debris were badly stuck in the circulation pump. Impossible to remove via the filter, and after only 15 month of purchase! Being a refurbished machine due to dents it only had 1 year warranty. Cleaning wasn't enough, had to dismantle the machine, remove the pump, and unscrew the pump to remove the massive chunk of debris stuck in the motor blades. Though the whole process was easier than I thought it would be. Removing the waste hose from the pump and then putting the unit back together was a little more challenging but not impossible. Saved me a $200 service fee. Though I'd never buy a Samsung without warranty again.

    Great video. My washer had an “nd” error. My wife washed a bathmat and the back of it disintegrated. I took it apart following your instruction and cleaned out the drain hoses. It was full of the rubber from the mat, a lot of sludge, and a quarter. Now it’s working just fine. Thanks, very informative and simple to follow.

    This is a very informational video, but for everything except for what I need. There is a white sort of triangle looking piece in the top rear of the washer that has multiple hoses going into it. There is a little nipple at the bottom of it and it is spraying water out a fine mist of water. I have to turn water to my washer off when I’m not using it. Thank God it is sitting inside of one of those little floor protectors so when the water gets to be too much, I can use my shop vac and vacuum it up. It is such a minute little late and I am hoping to be able to replace the piece.

    OK well I fixed my washer. Once you take off the top panel, there is a Tee connection for water, basically dead center. One hose had come disconnected on mine. I reconnected it and zip-tied the Tee so it cannot come loose again. Fortunately an easy cheap fix. May want to add that to your list of possible causes.

    I couldn't get my rotor bolt loose because the rotor spins. I had to stick a screw driver through the rotor to brace it with the stator and hammer the wrench. That ofcourse will damage the stator but I was disassembling to trash the washer anyway. The circuit board died and I couldn't find another.

    I must replace the tub bearings for the second time in 2 months on the Samsung H425000AW/A2 01 Front loader. The damn thing sounds like a jet at takeoff @ high spin. When I installed the bearings the rear appeared to be already greased. Should I have greased the front roller ball rearing as well? My research did not indicate it was required. Brown grease has leached out of the back of the machine and coated the motor.windings & stator. It made a real mess. It also seems that the bolt that holds the stator on will only go on halfway in. Is there a torque setting for the bolt??
    I will tearing into this as soon as my replacement parts come in

    Great tutorial. I have a Samsung Front load washer that looks identical to the one in your video that was purchased brand new three years ago. A few weeks ago it began making making a loud noise along with an aggressive rattle/ shake at the last 7 minutes of the "quick wash" cycle which I believe is the quick spin used after the wash. At that time there was also a strong smell which smelt as though it could possible be some sort of burning rubber. Do you have any tips as to what may be the problem so that I could take the challenge of fixing it and saving 600+ on a new replacement?
    Also, since the incident I must have used the washer at least 8-10 times with that same aggressive shaking during the spin cycle and no scent of anything burning.
    Thanks

    This video was truly helpful for my repair. I replaced the door latch mechanism (front loader) on my Samsung WF350ANP XAA 03. The mechanism is enclosed in a plastic case which had shattered. Why? Its a mystery to me. The replacement part was available locally for me and the cost was far less (< $100) than I expected since it is an electro-mechanical part. Given the number of pieces that needed to be removed, I expect that a service person might have needed 2-3 hours to disassemble and reassemble the washer. I wonder what a service call might have cost me? Does anyone have any experience with the expenses associated with a service call?
    While I had the unit open the shock absorbers were exposed so I pulled those out to learn if they were functioning properly. Yes, they were. I'd note that properly operating absorbers have about 1/2 inch of light resistance followed by stiffer resistance. At the parts store, new absorbers functioned the same.
    I've read some comments with people stressed out because their washer betrayed them. Yes, it is easy to have that feeling. When I studied the insides of the machine it was obvious that there were many, many plastic components. Nevertheless, I thought it to be well designed. It was definitely better than other washers I've owned with cast iron transmissions and various belts that dripped oil, wore out belts and caused other problems.
    I was most impressed by the direct drive electric motor and the efficiency and simplicity of the system. Well done Samsung. Even after this breakdown and repair, I'd go back and purchase another one.

      Judging by the HUGE number of complaints and failures in the Samsung front AND top loaders, and by the sheer number of videos here, You are a real optimist. Check back in a few years when your main support dissolves and the service call is $1200.

      I'm a homeowner (not repairman) but have been told that powder is better for the machines. These tend to get a mildew smell. We have not had a problem since we started using white vinegar in the "fabric softener" cup, a small amount of Zum liquid detergent, and a small amount of oxy powder inside the drum itself, removing wet clothes within an hour, and keeping the door slightly ajar when not in use. It seems like a lot of trouble, but has prevented the problems that most people have with front loaders. Our Samsung is six years old.

      ClarkLark Thanks. We re using Dr. Bronner s Castile liquid detergent for time being and vinegar in the conditioner compartment. Everytime the machine is not in use, the door stays open and also I remove the whole detergent compartment rinse a bit and let it dry until next wash. Hope it will last us many years. Thank you for the advice and many toruble free years with yours :D

      It is best to use gunpowder in a dry machine. Use 2# packed tight into a pipe and ignite with long fuse. When machine explodes, take it back to your Samsung dealer. Then buy a $300 Whirlpool top loader.

      Richard Raucina jejejejejee if it breaks too fast, thats what Im gonna do. Whirlpool lost quality lately. I do have fridge and a freeze box from them, back home. Ive recently changed my mom s old Whirlpool with 800 rpm spin and got her an advanced Electrolux that fitted through the tiny 2nd bathroom door frame. She was so upset with me for giving up on that old Whirlpool. Ive been very happy so far with Samsung EcoBubble. Lets see in another 2 or 3 years from now. Got mine ex display for 300gbp ( RRP 500) so I am more than happy, so far.

    we disassembled washer, put it back together and now it makes an airplane noise during the spin cycle. We were looking for something lodged in the drum that would snag clothes. We didn't find anything. now the washer sounds like an airplane taking off. Any suggestions?

    I have a Samsung WF409ANW/XAA that is throwing a E8 error and the repair guy said the stator and rotor needed to be replaced and suggested we could order and install the part ourselves. This didn't fix the issue. Unit will not spin and it takes quite a bit of force to spin it manually. Any suggestions?

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  8 років тому +1

      +Chris Stamps The inner tub should spin freely. One possibility is that the tub bearings are binding. This would cause the tub to make a lot of noise as it moves. Another possibility is that the tub is obstructed by a small object. Check the area in-between the tubs for any small objects (such as a sock or piece of lint) that may be preventing the inner tub from turning freely. For more information, check out out website's list of commonly defective parts for a washer that won't spin: www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Washing-Machine/38---/Washer-won-t-spin If you enter your model number, we'll give you a list of parts specific to your model.

      +GRIM x AQUA Loud squeaking on a front loading washer is normally an indicate of the rear bear going out. The bearing is often only available with a whole new outer rear tub.

    HELLO, I NEED HELP WITH MY SAMSUNG WASHER MODEL WF431ABP/XAA 01 BEFORE IT INDICATED ERROR CODE E2 NOW DOES NOT WANT TO TURN ON. DONT HAVE ANY ENERGY.

    • @ronaldrissel6665
      @ronaldrissel6665 5 років тому

      The E2 error code indicates a stuck key. This could be caused by a key that is physically stuck because some liquid detergent or fabric softener dripped down on the keyboard and dried up, in which case you can fix it by carefully removing the control electronics from the plastic control panel, and then cleaning up the dried soap/softener. If that's not the problem, then you have an internal key short, and you will have to replace the control electronics.
