120fps Slow Motion Squirrel Jumps, Chases and Fights V24873

Squirrels do some amazing things in trees - especially when they are chasing each other. They seem to stick like glue to whatever they touch, and seldom lose their balance or fall. Only once can I remember hearing a dull "thud" and seeing a squirrel bouce off of the ground out of the corner of my eye - so they do indeed fall sometimes! Fortunately for these long-tailed acrobatic tree rodents, none fell this day, and some of the chases, fights, and jumps were pretty amazing to see when slowed down 4x by the Sony a7iii mirrorless camera.

It's crazy how fast they move. I'm back home now and saw some of these on my trip. They are fatter and hairier that our Eastern squirrels.
