  • With tart humor, Hayley Yeates makes the case that investing in cultural diversity is just as important as fostering gender diversity.
About the TED Institute: We know that innovative ideas and fresh approaches to challenging problems can be discovered inside visionary companies around the world. The TED Institute helps surface and share these insights. Every year, TED works with a group of select companies and foundations to identify internal ideators, inventors, connectors, and creators. Drawing on the same rigorous regimen that has prepared speakers for the TED main stage, TED Institute works closely with each partner, overseeing curation and providing intensive one-on-one talk development to sharpen and fine tune ideas.

    Question:
Is there more diversity between individual Asians as a group, or between Asians and all other groups?

This is a broad question and can go both ways. Asia is a continent with thousands of diverse customs and practices that exist in that continent as a whole with their subcultures and small corners of societies. Relating to other groups, you are already pinpointing diversity in itself by correlating a relation. Hence, you have to be more specific of what kind of cultures you referencing too. The cultures in eating food versus the culture of musical instruments. You must elaborate.

The truth is that healthier countries, and less conflicted countries have more so called brotherhood and they're more in cultural harmony with each other.

@@kristinekim9275 But a serious question I have. Why do we encourage women to wear stilettos? They have been proven to be bad for the back and the spine.
I know some people wear them for the appearance, and some women love them. Which is cool I get it. They do look kinda sexy on a woman as a guy, but pragmatically, they are not good for the back. And it's probably worse on the backs of people who are overweight.
