good info and thank you, so i was wondering about there nas, i heard anywhere between 3 to 7 years for the select can be used is this right? is bourbon legally suppose to be at least 3 years old or 2? also the column still is only a product made at the owner company where they use woodfor in there blend? if so what are the names of these whiskies? and why do they mention this because it confuses me as i know woodford only uses pot stills so why mention the use of column by the owner company?

The base expression for Woodford is probably aged between 5 and 7 years. Bourbon does not have a legal aging minimum. Bourbons aged a minimum of 2 years or more can add the term "Straight" to the label. This is why you see the term "Kentucky Straight Bourbon."
Woodford is created from the mingling of two different distillates. The pot still distillate is distilled at the Woodford Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, and the column still distillate is distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Kentucky, where the company also distills Old Forester. The two distillates are matured separately and mingled together before bottling to achieve Master Distiller Chris Morris' desired flavor profile. I hope this answers your question!

@@TheSpiritsEducator well i keep hearing min 4 years somewhere, perhaps for bonded brands, as for the distillates for woodford reserve select, are both column and pot made of same mash bill? and why does chris say they only use pot stills to make this whisky? or is he saying they only use them at woodford?
