Standing outside a Palace makes a lovely backdrop for the video, as do the beautiful arched windows inside. Ally Pally Rocks!

I stumbled upon your channel just few days ago, but I can say that your instructions are maybe the best I've ever seen. What makes them the best is that you are giving progression exercises - a thing that most of the other videos are lacking. Please, continue with the good job!
I'm 40 years old and started skating a year ago (first on inline skates and just a month ago on ice, skating 4-5-6 times per week), so I lack mobility - my hip turnout and upper body rotation is far away from what they need to be. So my question is - how much of upper body rotation is needed in order to keep the position described in the video? I have tried multiple times, but is really hard to keep all my weight on the inner leg with upper body rotated into the circle and still maintain outside edge and gliding in circle. I can do outside backward continuous edges (don't know how well) with square body to the hips, also I can keep edge with my back to the circle, but backward outside edge with body towards the circle is impossible for me and I don't know if its because of not enough mobility, or some other reason. Also I tend to over rotate on the exit of FI open mohawks, I just cannot keep the same circle as the entrance, maybe because of the same reason. Thanks!

      Hi Ivan,
Thanks so much for your comments.
I’m very glad there is help in our video(s) for you🙂
The issue you are describing is usually due to need to build a subtle strength through the hip area to maintain inward rotation.
(Gluteus Medius, Tensor fasciae latae, Sartorius to name a few major ones.) but also in the torso area (transverse abs, obliques etc) to prevent “unwinding” or unraveling of the body shape.
This may be a good subject for a short video 🙂
      Thank you

@@IceSkatingLondon thank you very much for the reply! A lack of muscles strength sounds like a much more soluble problem than lack or ROM. I will look for exercises for these muscles.
I want to mention your FO 3 turns videos - these are the best tutorials on 3 turns that I've seen. Nobody cares to explain the difference between the upper body rotation variant and leaning variant. And also nobody uses the T position of the free foot. I learned these turns on inline skates and due to some differences of the rocker and bad habits, I wasn't able to do them properly on ice. But I followed your instructions and just for about 15-20 minutes in two sessions I started to do them right. Both methods worked just fine, but the one from the second video showed me how exactly feels to transfer the weight from my heel to the ball and then back to the heel almost by itself.
I hope you will make such good videos for the FI and BI 3 turns as well.
Also If I may suggest some other topics that are hard to find:
-Turning from forward crossovers to backward at speed (it looks to me similar to FIO mohawk but with very slight jump)
-Turning from backward crossover to forward (some calls it step forward) at speed - maybe it is just a BIO mohawk in spread eagle position, but nobody explains how to progress to higher speed.
      - brackets, rockers and counters videos are also very scarce.
I hope your channel will grow fast!
      Thanks again!
