I must have somehow forgotten to add that scene in the video. I did have to use the reverse power, although you can use the avin 12v connector that is connected to RCA cable for power. I didn’t splice, simply inserted the wires into the reverse tail light connector and taped it together. Hasn’t failed me yet.

Would you specifically state what device you used to test the camera before installing and what you connected to the device. I assume you connected the positive trigger wire from the camera to something on the device. I have had two replacement backup cameras sent to me by AVIN. Neither will display an image.

I used a standard 12v router ac adapter to power the camera. Plugged into extension cord to my wall in house. Connected yellow wire directly to head unit to test.

How is it when u reverse? I heard the light on the camera makes it look off with the cars reverse lights

Yes that’s exactly the issue I have. Need to switch my left license plate light to a white led now

Sorry. Yellow rca cable goes to rca port. The red wire connects to 12v trigger wire on avin unit
