  • Here is another Ridgid light that was just released. Its the Ridgid 18V Cordless Magnetic Task Light R86901B. There are things that I really like about this light, but all in all, it didn't blow me away with any new tech or anything. I think it could definitely come in handy for most, but let me know what you think about it.

    Little light would come in handy looking for cats and dogs in Ohio.. 🤷

    $70 tool only is a little steep.

    Yes they have been extremely slow to release anything that I started switching over to big bro Milwaukee! Also the fact that they discontinued the 12V platform in the US that I heavily invested in and cancelled the lifetime warranty! I’m still kinda butt hurt about that…lol!!

    Ridgid has become a very hard sell, really the only thing they have going for them is the LSA. Quite frankly at this point id rather buy into a better platform and just deal with any additional cost that follow as a result of broken tools post warranty.

      Ridged is halfassed. FLEX offers lifetime warranty. DeWalt and Makita tools are damn near bulletproof. Milwaukee has gotten reasonably reliable.
      If I wanted halfass tools I’d probably go with cheap Ryobi over ridged.

    Milwaukee needs to make a light like this one. Small, compact, but long run times on the M18 platform.

    Thanks! Great job as always! Your energy seemed a little lower today. But to counter balance you did hit the 'moist' routine very nice like.

    Am deeply invested in the Ridgid cordless platform but it's sad the direction it has slid to..Cheap tools compared to when I got in and their real-estate at local HD is about 15% of the 4 brands. Close to switching to Red,.. Maybe that's what they want so they can slowly dissolve LSA over the next 5 years. It sucks as was quite proud of their gear at one time. Keep up the good work and send TTI my comment!

    I really like it. But for $70 I'm going to have to wait till it goes on sale or something. That's too much for that light

    $70 for a magnetic, compact light with no water resistance is criminal

    I been wanting to go all in on Ridgid but with the lack of growth it's tough. Ridgid NEEDS to stop calling their new drill "high torque" just make a new one with 1500 in lbs. the 4 mode ID is nice but it NEEDS 3 lights on the head instead of the traditional goofy light looking up alone (they could keep both like the flex gen 2 high torque impact wrench) among several other tools Ridgid just doesn't have. I'm personally salty that Ridgid hasn't dropped a 12" dual bevel cordless brushless miter saw.

      TTI CAN'T HAVE RIDGID BEAT MILWAUKEE LIKE THERE RIDGID HIGH TQ IMPACT WRENCH DID 4 YEARS ago

    • @TOOL_TECHNICAL
      @TOOL_TECHNICAL 8 днів тому +1

      @@THEBEARDEDTOOLGUY sadly yeah. I did see that m12 impact wrench you tested not too long ago. seem a big inconsistent. I don't doubt it'll get general stuff done but man theres so many people saying you need the 5 high output or its 60% cap

    • @james2042
      @james2042 8 днів тому +1

      TTI likes to talk about the brands being independent, but ridgids standard drill and impact kit is ryobis but beefed up. The high torque drill is a de re-rated milwaukee gen 4 fuel. The only tool ridgid has that's really unique to the platform is the dual battery auger, and really it's just ryobis 40v auger designed for dual 18v batteries. Ridgid as a brand is basically the "trade top level performance for the lsa" in tti's lineup.
