    Ridgid is my accessory line. Lights and fans. The miter only because it was pretty much first in brushless. Waiting for more accessory type tools from Ridgid.

    I’m about to buy the 3/4 impact. Which means I will have to buy my first Ridgid batt-ray, batt-ray charger, and I will be forced into buying the 18volt right angle impact as well. I am a diesel mechanic and have been running Milwaukee and snapon for a long time. The power of the Ridgid tools against the cost of them is making it hard to ignore anymore.

    1:40 Extra outlet? It's just a NEMA 1-15R. I guess you could plug another charger into it. As long as it doesn't have a wall wart, a power strip is good enough. A NEMA 5-15R would have been a lot better.
    2:40 The router looks really nice.

    HI Clint! Only problem I have with Ridgid is that it's not in my hands as much as the warranty guys!!!!!!!

  • @jakeevans1259
    @jakeevans1259 4 місяці тому +1

    I had to send in my ridgid right angle impact for warranty it wouldn’t impact. They received it February 26 and yesterday March 11 they emailed me saying they shipped a new replacement one. I’m glad they took care of it but it took a lot longer than Milwaukee’s warranty process. Keep that in mind if you use these tools daily.

    I'm invested in Ridgid. I'm annoyed they stop expanding their line. I need them to make a rotary polisher. I'm also eyeing up their framing nailer. Glad that came out. The Brad nailer is excellent. I have 2 of their impact guns.

    I have had 3 Ridgid routers and all were not dead center to the base, all were not 90° to the base and all had motors that went bad after not all that much use. They start to feel like you're hitting nails while routing and it scares the crap out of you because it jerks the router pretty violently and you have no idea what just happened. Then you look at your bit, see no carbide damage, and then realize the workpiece has a gouge, so you figure there was something like a knot that grabbed it or something, then it happens again and again more and more frequently, ruining each workpiece in the process until you catch it happening while you're just holding the router while it's on. Why did I end up with 3 of them? Because i took them back to home depot for store credit and just got a new one and the third one im currently on, I don't even feel like bothering, no other router has given me similar issues ever since and while not all other routers are dead center in the base, at least the bits are square, but not a single one, no matter how old, has ever had motor issues like the Ridgid. Maybe the battery ones are different, because mine were all corded, but as far as I'm concerned, they're not accurate, nor reliable. At least they're comfortable I'll give them that.

    I Am Stoked, my router just got repaired at their TTI place. I literally plugged in my info from a copy and paste Document, and dropped the package off for FedEx at Walgreens! That was Last Wednesday, As of today (Monday) it is repaired and it will begin shipment on Tuesday. I’m almost certain they will be able to stand by their New Service Direct program and it’s objective to solve the issues Promptly. Yay! More work.
    I use the modern 2024 2 port Simulatenous charger. I do not charge my batteries while I am working, because I have so many. That thing is Fast though, and it Makes me happy I can throw 2 of the 6ah on there and usually I can Walk away with 3 others, and those will be charged before I kill 2 more.
    I find on average it takes 2 of the 6ah to drill a 20” Hole with the SDS rotary Hammer with a .75” bit. That’s about what I push with it, I could buy the 12ah battery for the sake of Strength but…
    I have had the extension in the hole on that bad boy. Total game changer, Space and the fact you can spin that drill any way you want without tangling a cord after 1 spin…

    Tool brands
    You shouldn't charge extra for the rubber cover. It's a really bad look. You don't have to give everyone 1 in the box, but if I buy the tool and want the protection, you should offer free, but you have to go to the website to ask for it or something. Selling it separately is just dirty
