    We are in the midst of a 'beard renaissance'. Everyone, it seems, is growing a beard. For many of us, a full and thick beard is a fairy tale. In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro describes how to leverage the whiskers you do have to make your beard look fuller.
    Alpha discusses his own facial hair obstacles and how he handled them. He says sometimes time is all that is needed.
    Handling Beard Patches and Spots Now
    1. Grow it out - go for one month to see more accurately how that beard is going to look then analyze.
    2. Brush your beard - you can find boar's hair bristle beard brushes online for around $10. It can make your beard look more luscious and full. By brushing morning and evening, train the hair to lay and grow in a specific spot.
    3. Utilize a facial hair grooming tool to support hair around the bald spot
    4. Rogaine on your face - it's not designed for it, and there hasn't been a lot of long term research

    Truth, my beard was pretty sad only up until about 3-4 years ago in my mid 30s. The sad part was that I could grow thick, Elvis level lamb chops at 19, but my chin looked like 3 spiders trying to mate.

    • @nottheonreek6156
      @nottheonreek6156 8 років тому +14

      dude,I can so relate. At 19 I could grow the meanest of mustaches. I'm not talking about the porno creep mustaches, but a full mustaches that required wax and brushing every morning. But my beard was a complete failure with patchy sideburns and chin. Wasn't till I turned 25 till my beard started to look good. Now I got the hole 1930's beard and stash going on and i couldn't be happier I didn't give up on the mustaches and waited for the beard to grow in.

      Yes beards do go out of style. It’s just that many won’t let them go but that doesn’t mean they’re always in style! The only reason they have more longevity is because men’s hair goes bald over time and the only way to counteract that is by having a beard. But trust me, the minute men find a way to fix their Head balding issues, beards will fall off the face of the earth.

    Thanks to genetics, I shave my beard since my 13s... and now, as a 17 year old (1 month for 18) I can say that I have a full beard and somethimes I let it grow for a month or two and I love it... there are downsides, it itches because my facial hair does not go all in the same direction, it's kinda curly.... I also want to say (if you're still reading this)... if you're gonna shave or trim your beard... wash your face with soap.. a lot really... recently I got myself an infection for not doing that and I even had to go to the hospital, now I'm washing my face sometimes a day and applying a cream for the infection... just a shoutout, I dont want anyone suffer from this

    I used Minoxidil (Rogaine) on my face at 21 and it helped me substantially grow a beard and its a lot better. You have to use it long enough to have the hairs mature. I did take 10,000mcg of Biotin every day for a year before I started it and I believe that helped a lot as well.

  • @danr8267

    Rogaine does work if you were already going to grow a beard. It requires consistency over a couple of months. The hairs do not fall out if you wait for them to go terminal (thick and black) although some people's do not grow back after shaving but very rare. Also be prepared for the side effects. For me at least,I'd get very itchy on my cheeks and theyd turn red. I'd also grow peach fuzz like hairs on my ears. Just try it for a few weeks and see if the side effects aren't too bad other wise don't continue

    Beard brushes are a beast of their own as well. You may get one and find it's too rough for your soft facial hair or vice versa. I suggest a simple, cheap, and easy brush. A regular toothbrush. Not the soft bristled kind though. Cut that bad boy a few inches below the head and you've got a good beard brush. Been doing it since 08. And if you're wondering, my beard is thick and coarse.

    My beard looks a little sparse in some areas because some of the hairs are blonde rather than the rest, which is dark brown. I bought some Just For Men beard color and it really helped fill it in. Would definitely recommend.

      +Liam Perks What's the derma roller do?

    • @liamperks
      @liamperks 8 років тому

      +The Faceless Man it stimulates cologne in your face, which is needed by the hair follicles. Using minoxidil deplete cologne so derma rolling really helps activate hair follicles.
      If you're interested then look up a group on Facebook called the Minox Beard Spot. There is over 5000 of us doing it and most of us are getting pretty insane results

    how to remove pimples

    • @007lutherking
      @007lutherking 6 років тому +1

      am_ minhaz try benzac ac (2.5%)if everything else fails, twice a day
      After washing your face in the morning and after washing your face at night before going to bed, ideally you'd want your face to be covered with it at all times(that's what works for me) give it a week and you'll definitely see the change. Let me know here how it goes. Good luck.
      I also use garnier skin active pure active 3 in 1 (white face scrub lotion) to scrub off dead skin and oil off my face before applying half a peanut amount of benzac over the affected areas, especially cheeks, chin, under the nose area and forehead. Good luck

      Avoid all foods that contain any kind of cheese, cream, butter, margarine, vegetable shortening, it includes sandwiches of any kind from any restaurant, absolutely NO cheese, if you drink milk very often, then reduce the amount and frequency, eliminate all cookies including oatmeal ones. See if it works for you, it does for me, that well in my 40s I get many pimples if I eat any of those products, and as long as I dont eat them, I have a clear face and scalp

  • @bigmac7302

    Using 5% Kirkland minoxidil on my face has worked wonderfully. Asides from the mustache and chin hair I could already grow, after about 2 months of using it I now have almost full hair growth on the sides of my face and under my chin. Though these are baby hairs, after another month or so I will most likely have face full of mature hairs. I consider myself lucky so see this much growth in the first two months because people who have tried go a full year and only get dryer skin and a face full of acne.

    There's a few thing you can do that will definitely help. 1. Eat healthy, absolutely no junk food, eat lean meats/organic food is better than processed. 2. Stay in shape, workout more often, don't be lazy, keep active.
