@@Magnusgal I disagree. There are several good live versions, but they do not compare to the 2004 First Farewell Tour. The sound and video quality of the 2004 version is excellent. Phil’s voice during the ending sequence is phenomenal. Also, the staging, build-up, and beat drop work brilliantly in the 2004 version. In the one you linked, the audience is loud, the beat drop is telegraphed, and the camera angles, particularly on the drum, miss a lot. There’s a reason the 2004 version has 87 million views.
The song also was used in the TV crime drama Miami Vice.
Collins was in band called Genisis check out "Home by the sea"

In the Air Tonight has appeared in a lot of things. Most famously, it appeared in the premier episode of Miami Vice, which was revolutionary in how it incorporated music. Movies include The Hangover, Risky Business, and The New Guy. And it has been used in video games GTA and NBA 2K.
A little background on Phil Collins, who is one of the most successful pop/rock stars in history. He’s one of only three performers who has sold 100 million albums as a solo artist and with a band. The other two are Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson.
Collins was the drummer and then the lead singer of the progressive rock band Genesis from 1970-1996. He started a solo career in 1981, and had a string of hits through the 80s of his own songs and with Genesis. You may have heard some of his other songs like Against All Odds and Easy Lover. You also may know some of his music from the soundtracks to two Disney films, Tarzan and Brother Bear.

Those three songs are all ballads, and very different than In The Air Tonight. Hello beautiful queen! Great reaction to the classic Phil Collins song. (though the video did scared me as a kid but that's another story). This song along with others on his Face Value album was about Phil's divorce with his first wife.
