Crystal I’ve been with you for several years and also watched some other people and your tutorials are by far the best. You take the time to show each stitch Slowly so that people can follow you. I love this stitch. My Mom went blind and made afghans and baby blankets with it because she could feel the stitches.
Love the look of this stitch. Changing colors after every 2 row repeat creates a bargello effect. I ended up making a small bag in the round using this stitch. I’m thrilled how it turned out. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from FL😺

I'm also think about a bed runner in holiday colors.
Due to various health issues,surgeries,etc, I have been unable to work as an RN for last 16 months, a job I have been doing for about 32 years. As you can imagine depression and anxiety has been through the roof, my future is uncertain. One of the few things that’s kept me going, apart from my husband and son, is crocheting.
Your channel is by far my favourite. Every time I master a new pattern it’s because you explain everything so well.

Oh Crystal Crystal I’m in so much trouble when I watch your channel. I always love the yarn you use. So I’m not doing this one just yet why you ask I left here and went and bought 12 skeins of this and then I seen this same yarn I’ve used before so I bought 12 of them as well. I like your videos so much. I have been looking for a fairly simple stitch to make my grandson a blanket for Christmas. I have the yarn. Its in about 4 shades of green. Crystal, I've been a follower for a few years now and love, love your yarn hauls. I always looked at this stitch and thought it looked too hard for me. But your instruction tutorials are so matter of fact, I feel like they were made just for me. I have three baby blankets to make, for triplets so I will be using this stitch at least for one of them, maybe all. They will be pink and white, pink and mint and pink and yellow so I'll be changing colors and I think this stitch will be perfect.

That is beautiful !! Thanks as always for the great tutorials. I had signed up for a beginners crochet class and only two classes were held before the pandemic hit. I don't think I will be able to go back to the class as your teaching is so clear and easy to follow. Being with other folks in person is very nice, but I think this format is great for learning! You know Crystal I have the big book of stitches that shows alot of the ones that you have had on here but I have been afraid to try some of them because even though I have it right there in pictures in front of me it doesn't seem to register in my brain. You have opened up a whole new chapter for me with these stitch videos. Even though I have been watching you forever and love you soooooo very much and count you as one of my closest friends by the way these videos seemed to open the pattern writer in me lol! I told a hundred times and I will tell you a hundred more there is no way I can ever thank you enough for the gifts you have given me. Before my accident you could have never gotten me to crochet I was to work driven. Having a traumatic brain injury is has been very difficult on me, much more so than all of my other physical injuries. They are just pain which I have always had a high threshold for but losing my memory and who I was physically, mentally, and emotionally that has been the most difficult thing to overcome. You helped me with that. You taught me to crochet which helps me stay calm and centered and seeing you deal with the same anxiety has helped with mine so again long story but I love you girl and thank you for all you do!😘🥰😘🥰😘❣

It's been super fun getting to know her and her adorable fam through the channel. Although, secretly, I totally want to meet her in real life at a random craft event or something nerdy and discover we're long lost best friends! Hahaha I'm such a dork 🤪
But seriously, this is exactly what I've been needing in order to increase my prowess in crocheting, which I've been drawn to throughout my life, but have discovered that I'm not all that inspired by the helpful magazines and other instruction I've found for myself. And my grandma, while an incredibly talented woman in her own right, excels in sewing and creating awe inspiring Christmas crafts. I'm super grateful to have discovered this channel...thank you, you are definitely an inspiration and a person who I genuinely feel I can look up to 💕 (kinda odd lol, but also super rad! ;) )

Thanks for the tutorial. I was looking for a pattern nice and easy for an Afghan as a wedding present for my niece. Will this work with Bernat Blanket yarn? I chose ivory, taupe and grey to alternate rows. This looks like a quick whip for an Afghan.
