Everyone will love this! I've made many ,many baby afghans with this style of crocheting really warm for the traveling to the sitters house in the early morning hours. Their really pretty in all colors give it a try you'll really enjoy it because it works up so fast. ENJOY!!! 😊
@@mccdesignzseriously, I’ve been wanting to learn Tunisian crochet but every tutorial I’ve seen they’ve barely made anything larger than a washcloth so I couldn’t understand how to make an actual blanket. Really well explained, great visuals, and great pacing. Thank you!
HI, LOVE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE YOUR TUNISIAN BLANKET. NEVER SEEN A WHOLE BLANKET MADE BEFORE. ONLY, TUNISIAN SQUARES. YOUR BLANKET IS SO!!!! PRETTY. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. AND FOR THE LINK TO THE TUNISIAN HOOKS.
I love this!! I got this Tunisian set that I are working with and I made my first doggy blanket in Tunisian!! After I’m done with a few projects, I’m going to do this blanket on 144 sts with a beautiful yarn I’m getting next week!! Ty ty ty for this easy tutorial!!!❤❤❤
Omg I happened to see your video tonight lol. It’s 12:55 Germany time and I’m so amazed with your lovely and easy tutorials. I never learn any of this just crocheting. I will definitely start making this blanket of yours. Love the color of this blanket and great for my granddaughter 😊 do you have a video for how to add yarns? And oh I’ll be ordering the set of your crochet too. Thank you again for this tutorial and the rest of all of your videos. You’re a great teacher.
What a fabulous blanket! The colors are divine and it is the perfect size for just about anything, e.g., a throw, a crib or toddler bed blanket. Thank you so much for sharing!
I cannot wait to start this project! I’ve NEVER done Tunisian crochet. I HAVE crocheted before and I’ve leaned more toward knitting in recent years. Looking forward to this new form of fiber art.
@mccdesignz isn't it an awesome feeling when a project you've worked so long and hard on turns out amazing. Just love how satisfying it makes you feel. Enjoy it for many years. 🥰🙏
Love your video. I have purchased the same set of Tunisian crochet hooks a little while ago from Amazon & have been waiting for a nice video. So now I can start. Many thanks. Xx ❤️🙂
I love this blanket, and your instructions were very easy to follow. I am wondering how you add on another cake? I hope you have it on one of your videos, to follow along with. I am anxious to try this!
I have another tutorial on color changing and I use the same methods of joining for new cakes! Basically it’s just finishing a stitch with the new cake instead of the old strand
Just started crocheting literally today 😂 and this is a simple pattern to follow. I’m trying to figure out how to keep the same tension along the whole project but I’m sure that’ll come with practice. Can’t wait to finish up this blanket
On that particular crochet hook set, does all the cords connect together to make a longer cord? If not what do you use? I love the yarn and this pattern. I’m actually doing the knit stitch, not sure what it’s called for Tunisian crochet but I’ve been making headbands! I want to try blankets in this stitch also. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
This looks so great and easy for this beginner 😊 One question.. 🙋🏼♀️ Could I use any weight of yarn like example a size 5 or 6 weight yarn and if wanted to change the width and length of blanket.. is there a certain amount of chains I need to.. like do they need to be a even or odd amount of chains for the beginning so I can get to size I want? 😜 Thanks so much for showing us this.. it’s beautiful 💜🥰💜
Yes! You can use any weight of yarn you want it will just impact the size of the project and there are no specific amount of chains you need to start with for this stitch pattern. However many chains you create will be how many stitches you have 😁
I know it's been a while since you made this video but I want to make this so I'm asking anyway. If we wanted to increase the number of chains, what multiple is it in? Should I make it an even number and just go with that. I'm very new to tunisian so that's why I'm asking
I hope you get more well educated answer soon, but in projects where varying doesn't change the end result too much, I usually pick either even or not depending on the pattern. So for this pattern it being an even number of 144, I'd do an even number.
It really depends on the dimensions you want your baby blanket to be! I have the dimensions of my finished blanket on the blog post but going down in chains will definitely make it smaller
Not currently! But what I like to do is finish a stitch with the new ball of yarn and leave a long tail for weaving in later! Or the magic knot method 😁
Hello, I am a beginner of Tunisian crocheted working on my 1st blanket throw. I have a pleasant time of picking up the the looos but one return not so pleasant, it’s like its hard work to come through the two loops at a time, I don’t know if it’s the hook I have which I bought from Amazon which were pretty cheap. The cord is like plastic and keeps bending, can you help me with this problem or tell me what I’m doing wrong so my return can be as pleasant as the pick up row. 😊 Do I need to get some better hooks and would that help me?
Are you finding that the yarn is slipping off when you try and go through the loops? If so it could be that your hook head is a little to shallow and making it more tricky
Hi everyone, I’m hoping you can help me. I’ve done my first Tunisian crochet blanket which is the blanket in the video but I’m not happy with the curling ends. I’m really nervous about blocking it as I’ve never done it before. I used Caron Blossom Cakes which is 61% cotton 39% Acrylic. Do you think it will help and if so should I steam block or wet block/machine wash then block? Thank you for your help. 🥴
The hook set shown in the full tutorial is much more accessible price wise which is why I’m recommending it here. The metal set from some of my other shorts are from sewrellayarn and while I do love them they are quite pricey in comparison. Hope that helps!

For this hook set yes the cords all attach together! 😁 Tunisian knit stitch headbands are so cute!!!
Thank you for sharing lovely blanket can you share how to join panels together in the same Tunisian stitch hope you can help thank you
I have not done that technique myself but I would recommend a wip stitch for the joining of any crochet seams
How do these hooks feel in your hand? Great demonstration
Sorry for the late response! But I’ve really enjoyed these hooks 🥰
I’m a beginner and I have a lot of trouble finding the bumps on the back of the chain, any tips??

Hi thank you for sharing ❤
Can I use a 6mm hook ?
I would love to try the pattern , that’s the only size I have .
Thank you very much again ❤

Yes, absolutely! It will likely change the size and the fabric of the project so just lookout for that 😁
This looks so great and easy for this beginner 😊

Hi so im making a queen size blanket my question is when you finish with the first whole yarn how you keep adding to the blanket
Great question! I have a video showing how to change colors on my page and I use the same methods for adding a new ball of yarn 🥰
@@mccdesignz thank you that would be nice to see ♥️
Can you put up a link please😊 I’m struggling to find your tutorial for this

For the tunisian simple stitch used here you don’t have to have a specific multiple of stitches! 😁
Hi, I’m learning and wonder if this size is good for a baby blanket or should I make less chains to start i.e. 110?
It really depends on the dimensions you want your baby blanket to be! I have the dimensions of my finished blanket on the blog post but going down in chains will definitely make it smaller
Do you have a tutorial of how you add a new ball of yarn on?
Not currently! But what I like to do is finish a stitch with the new ball of yarn and leave a long tail for weaving in later! Or the magic knot method 😁
How did you get such a long cord..did it come that way?

I would start with steam blocking just to see how flat you can get it! Alternatively you can wash based on the yarn label instructions
In your short video you are doing this blanket using a metal hook. Can you link that or explain?

@@mccdesignzI love my Sewrella Tunisian hooks! They are my favorite too. 😊
Is there any way you can link the hook set?
It’s linked in the description ❤️
How many skeins or cakes did you use for this project
4! 😁 at the gauge shown in the pattern
How many inches should the cord or cable be in order to make a full size blanket?
It would need to be the length you want the width of your blanket to be!
If the cord on the hook only extends to 32”, how do you make a blanket over 60”? I’m new to Tunisian
The stitches will bunch up like in knitting
Most hook sets I’ve seen have the ability to have all of their cords attach together, that’s what I’ve done with this one to give the longer cord! 😁
This is also a way to do it!
Beautiful blanket!
What size hook are you using?
8 mm!
What size cord are you using here?
I have a bunch of small cords connected that ended up being about 40 inches or so
@@mccdesignz thank you. I didn’t know smaller cords can hook up to each other. 👍
