I bought a used set of the o-size irons years ago because I wanted some Ping clubs. I'm just a weekend golfer and I play to have fun with my son. Recently I was given 2 newer sets of clubs from a friend whose father passed, both Callaways, and although I really like them, it has not made any real difference in my game. I'm 58, been playing since I was 7, not a bad golfer or great, but the Pings are special. They are indeed nice clubs that I prolly will never get rid of. I was given a Ping Zing L wedge the other day and it's pretty cool.
I've had many sets of irons been playing 35 years , in the past had two sets off ping irons , I have had my I3 white dot set for about three seasons now they fit me perfect I hit them so sweet , will never change again . thanks .
Bought these new and I'm still using, don't fix what isn't broke, lol.I love them very consistent and comfortable. I'm a 12 handy cap but some days I get lucky and hit high 70s.Also not worried if the get scratched.
Went golfing the other day with my I3's Funny story. Walked on and played with three other fellas. Two of them had I3's as well. I though that was pretty cool. Each of us had different lofts. or dots.
Stunning club, faldo actually went to these in the early 00s, had a mixture of blade and o-size. To get faldo away from his classic mizunos means they were some iron
had the i3 0size until a year ago. These were great clubs. I replaced them with Cobra F9's but kept my i3 Ping. 2 iron. I just figured I'd try some newer technology, but the i3's were great.
Piss off! Same name, same clubs, what is going on here? I bought mine in 1999 after winning a men's tournament when I was 14. I got a trophy and $1500. I got my mom to run me into the city and I bought my Ping blades. I've been playing them ever since, I was even a scratch golfer with them for a few years.
I found a set i3 os for 100 bucks and I’m sure the guy will go a little lower. So do you think I should grab them or put the money towards something better? I’m getting back into playing after stopping 8yrs ago.
Picked up a set of these irons in mint condition, a really nice and clean Cleveland Titanium Quadpro Driver 9.5, and a Taylor Made Firesole Strong 3. Also came with a bag. All in really great condition for $300. Just getting into golf and thought this would be a great set to start with. Think I got a good deal? Just hit the sub button and saw your Cleveland Quadpro vid. Great videos!
I've been playing a set of the i3 blades, orange dot, for the past month. Good clubs if you want to hit a straight ball at least that is my experience. Before these I was playing my Louisville favorite forged model in a true muscle back blade design. Truth be told I think I like the Louisville made clubs a tad better because I can work the ball a bit better, and trust me I ain't that great but with the L's it seems a bit easier for whatever reason. I also have a set of the Zing's in orange dot and never took a shine to them. However and I regret this move, I had a set of the Zing II's yrs ago that I just bombed. Wish I still had them. Ok that's it, stay safe
Been playing casually on/off for about 15 years with a RAM set I bought back then. Local seller has a set (5-LW, no PW; white dot) for $130 that I'm considering purchasing. I'm gonna see if I can haggle it down to $100. Should I purchase these?
I am one who prefers an offset. There's something about the modern irons with no offset and aggressive lofts that I cannot get comfortable with. Lets toss in an old set like this in and I hit great.
I have the i3 O-Size (3-9, PW, SW, GW, LW) since they were new and will be selling them. They are great clubs and in great shape. I stopped playing for about 7 years and just got back into golf and am ready to upgrade. So if anyone is interested let me know.
Ping sure has changed over the past decade or so, to me they are covering every type of player which has vast differences. It is no longer a familiar Eye 2 for all , ISI, or Zing. I believe it started with these I3 models and now its full on game improvement to hairy scary Blueprint blades, right there with Mizuno!
I got these around 2000 for my 16th birthday for around £400, and traded them in for £100 toward mp25’s in 2017. $60 sounds a decent deal man, they are very solid irons. Very easy to hit, interact with the turf really good. Very hard wearing too so don’t worry about them being used

The i3's were the last good irons Ping has made in my opinion. Every year I try the new ones and I still stick with the i3 blades. Unfortunately mine are extremely worn and I'm going to have to replace them within the next year. I'm waiting for Ben Hogan to make the Icons in left.
This is the time when PING lost me with the I-3 line of irons. They were just plain ugly to my eye. Too bad because I loved the PING EYE 2's and still have my set from 1985 I bought new. Now you got me Jonesin' for a set of PING ISI's
O-Size, Offset Size! ?? I've never hit a Ping and never will, in my eyes it's the brand that made lazy bar stewards out of us all by removing the need to put a decent swing on it.

This was the first set of irons I bought. They are still in the bag. Love them!

Still have a set of O-size. These will spin pretty much any ball. Great irons. Back in early 2000's about every second or third bag had these.
I hope you put these in a Ping Hoofer stand bag. That was the big carry bag of my day that everyone wanted.

aid too💰
My high school set, and still playing these at 34 yrs old.

At a quick glance they remind me of my beautiful Cleveland Vas irons, alien ones that is:) Nice.
I still use a SW .Just feels good and works
I still play these irons ,I love them been in my bag since 2005.The "O" is for Optimal.
Yeah, everyone always thinks it's Oversize...which they certainly aren't lol...not even for then.

This has to be one of the most frustrating reviews I've listened to

Left or right?
How much?
PING pings period. Everyone is unique and therefore there is a plethora of club options out there.
Still using these 3-SW...I've tried many modern sets and genuinely find these better. Prefer the thinner soles.
Just bought a set from Play it Again sports for 60 bucks, I can't wait to take them out
I like the i3 blade irons.
move up to the 3 iron and there is a size difference there. I have the blades because less offset.

Looking at used set for 60bucks to repace my vintage 990 dci's. It is missing the pw. 60bucks a good deal?

I’m a lefty and play the i3’s O size as well. You a fan of the Ben Hogans because they are comparable? TIA.
Dropping off stuff at good will , I found a set of ping i3 plus

Glad you feel that way. Now, let's play and this lazy bar steward will take your money.
