This is a complete investment into LNF. They have a game that they can correctly test the next game mechanics and visuals and focus on really getting most of the bugs out for the launch. They have learned and it shows. They are trying everything to make sure they don't make the same mistake like they did in 2016.
Oh yeah, the tech upgrade here I think will also be a good test of if they have any memory leaks too, found, fixed, and then LFN doesn't have that issue/bug (hopefully)
Im still holding out hope Light No Fire is coming out in Q4 of this year. My original prediction earlier this year was Aug. It would be cool since Sean said this is part 1 of the world updates. Imagine if one of the parts was the light no fire release
Hate to burst your bubble Ginger, but that is a bird type that's been in the game since the very beginning. That said, they are often referred to as dragons. Back in the day, they were referred to as Migrators, because of their pathing. They would spawn and fly in a strait line until they despawned.

Hello Games is the only game studio I trust anymore. I plan to buy Light No Fire on launch day just to support the studio. I have not done that in years.
I think if they nail the combat for light no fire, and survival elements it could be one of the best games of all time. But if either of those fall flat itll just be good.
They are using Light no Fire new technology in No Mans Sky and testing if its a good idea. When we see the new water, plants, staves like mages, we see that its like something completely new.
I only just recently got back into NMS, but the new water updates look so good on lush/paradise planets. Built a base on an island and listening to the waves is so relaxing.
I really hope they’d work on the foliage in NMS. It would be nice if grass and other plants moved with more flow and individually. Now they move in chunks and are stiff. They made the water great.

Sean Murray has proven that people and business CAN find integrity through guilt and regret, own their screw ups, and fully redeem themselves above and beyond their mistakes. Businesses these days don’t understand that the respect people have for this strength of character and business model is off the scale, and MUCH more profitable, which is scary as it is how people and commerce used to be before entitlement set in. Sean has brought it back, hopefully others will follow.
I had a crazy thought watching this. Hope no-one else has said this. What if Light No Fire does appear in NMS, or vice versa, but it is the first of many LNF-size worlds? Told you it was crazy.
I also think the 2 games are in some way connected. I've actually made a scenario in my head called "Light No Man's Sky Fire." Man is becoming advanced enough to think of flight and star travel. There are forces that want to oppose that and others to help. Definitely just a theory.
While this update is not the LNF announcement we were hoping for is pretty much the next best thing. I am also a developer. A normal process when you are working on two tittles at the same time is that you start the 2nd game as an offshoot branch of the first and at some point you take some of the new features and improvement you made on game 2 and propagate them back to game 1. this makes me think Light No Fire is probably done developement.
Maybe I'm weird, but what-if there will be a 'portal' or system or..? that will link/combine both NMS and LNF? Maybe an access point via a warp? - and maybe you will pay for the new game addition before you jump/get there? I've not seen a game do this type of combination, but 'what-if'? I also have noticed that not many planets I've visited so far are as LNF-ish as in the new Worlds-1 trailer.. I was under the impression that all the worlds would be heavily transformed.. This makes me wonder what the Worlds-2 update will bring...

Light no fire baby is going to be a sure buy after the awesome comeback Hello games made. Sean Murray took a risk after NMS but boy is that risk going to pay off in spades. Hello fan base is growing daily and believe it or not, they are becoming loyal fans. Probably some of the same peeps that wanted blood now love Sean Murry and his team. It's a story to tell your grand kids.
i dnt think the games are connected beyond the point of made by same people, and the creature flying around in no mans sky means nothing to light no fire, what i think anyways, light no fire gonna be sooo good, looking forward to it when ever it comes out

Oh maybe LNF is the last world in the NMS universe that hasn’t been altered by the atlas??? Like the last uncontacted primitives in our own planet but it’s an entire planet that has been designated as a “no contact” zone??? Or maybe LNF is the only actual world and the entire NMS universe is just a program that is connected to a bunch of cryosleep pods that crash landed on this planet and the AI ship is just protecting them from the inhabitants of the LNF world???? Idk my imagination runs wild with this.
The only issue I have is the team seems to only be able to make small hill environemtns with oceans. No actual mountain peaks.rivers large plains or forests it's the same planet layout in each olanet
@@wingedhussar1453 if you look at the announcement trailer for Light No Fire, they literally fly through a mountain peak on a dragon, so I think it’s safe to assume the upcoming game will feature more detailed landscapes.
Sean and Hello Games built something very hard to buil: trust. I trust Sean and I'll by LNF at pre release if possible. Their efforts in NMS will prove valuable when they release LNF. They are sure they will make loads and loads of money.

What if the real Light No Fire was the No Man’s Sky Sean updated along the way? I’m a bit skeptical/concerned LNF will just be NMS with a fantasy coat of paint, but I hope Hello Games will knock it out of the park in making each game their own thing!
I think it will have a lot of similarities, but will definitely be its own thing as well. These guys are real creatives that want to push themselves, I don't think they'd be interested in making a reskin of their own game. Remember, their 2 other games: Joe Danger and the Last Campfire might as well have been done by a different studio, as they share nothing whatsoever with No Man's Sky.
Never seen one. Been playing no Man's sky version 1.5.. I have seen every possible planet biome fauna and floor combination up to version 5.0 Went as far as to download a no Man's sky creature editor and creator to look at all possible combinations no such combination exists

I've been saying the same thing. No Man's Sky has a ready made, large player base, to test things for Light No Fire.

Ithink it's great they have back ported some of their engine improvements for Light no Fire to No Man's Sky makes me want to play again.

so thanks to light no fire NMS has better water/skies etc but also provides a sandbox /test environment for Light no fire so a symbiotic relationship
