Martin made some stupid jokes about women hygiene and it didnt sit well the SNL producers, despite being warned not to make this joke prior to his monologue
Was about to comment on that. Now I’m looking for what was cut. But I’m thinking they spliced this with their dress rehearsal because of something Lawrence said or did in the live performance. Not sure which part was live though.
I'm guessing the wall didn't break very well when they did it live, and so they spliced in rehearsal footage. I didn't know that was something they did for reruns.
The wall not breaking right doesn’t sound controversial lol. SNL usually will censor the show for the West Coast since they don’t watch the show live. They also remove certain controversial parts. After the original airing, Sinéad O’Conner’s Pope incident was replaced with her dress rehearsal performance. I think the DVD release has the original though, you know, since she was right about the Catholic Church and all that lol.

@@d-mo733 He makes shit comedys his fans hate cause he doesnt wants his kids to be exposed to dirty, raunchy humour? Buddy, his only R-rated comedys are That's my boy and funny people ( although thats a dramedy). So nothing has changed except the quality. Maybe he should only make homemovies for his kids then...he lost his touch,Zohan and Anger management are his only funny films in 20 years.
And at the time we had no idea quite how good they were or would become
SNL had it all: Farley. Sandler. The whole kit and kaboodle!
And Hartman
Dave Micolichek Debatable. I love their 70s stuff, but there were a lot more sketches that flopped back then, too. Then again, they were all new to the whole thing then, so that's probably to be expected.

great comment!
With a man in a van, DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!
Wait are you telling me the expression isnt "kitten kaboodle"?
*i am 31 years old*
OMG, I can't believe that I've never seen this one before!! Chris Farley is one of my all time favorites!! When I'm with any of my friends, they know not to mention "a van..." because I always finish with "...down by the river!!". lol
..if you never seen this one how you make jokes about it with your friend? Nigga yous a liar
This ain’t the first time we’ve seen Matt Foley.
@@simpleton8554 Well, your name certainly fits. Um, because Matt Foley has a bunch of videos, just in case you thought this was his only one...
I had no idea martin was on SNL. I bet if Farley was still alive they both would of made a classic comedy together
I forgot Jay Mohr was on SNL.. crazy talent in that single sketch
He sucked on this episode
Martin is hosting
Man, chris made every guest snl had for that period look like they just walked out of a board meeting. He was too good honestly
I love how he hitches up his pants every time he does Matt foley
Now Chris Farley is in heaven, living in a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!!
That is absolute raw talent. You can see it on every face as soon as Chris begins talking and takes Martin's spot every single actor is thinking, fuuuck don't break don't break don't break!
When Martin hit Chris with the chair and he flew threw the wall... Lost it
and poses after against the wall
foreal lol
Martin man how did he keep it together when Chris went through the wall?
Exactly, Chris Slap Stick Comedy awesome and classic.
Farley- Were gonna have a little dance, old man forgot his dancing shoes, oop there it is
Sandler- Completely lost it 😂🤣😂🤣
Luke 11:28

I have never seen a better physical comedian in my life. Chris was one of the best to ever walk this earth. Super, super athletic for a big dude, that's what really sold it I think.
Did anyone else hear him do that “brrr” sound when he called Adam pretty, that made me bust out laughing, truly a legend man RIP
He looked directly at Tim Meadows and did it, I remember watching this when it aired and laughing hysterically
2:28 Look at Adam Sandler’s face when Chris walks in lmao couldn’t keep a straight face right away
chris knew it too, look at the look he gives adam at 3:03
look at Jay Mohr too hes cracking up
DAVID SPADE
CHRIS FARLEY
ADAM SANDLER
MARTIN LAWRENCE
ROB SCHNEIDER
OHMYGOD
jay mohr, phil hartman, tim meadows too
Right 😫💖
Literally never seen this this is atomic snl sesh were dead
Um Chris Rock???
And Mike Myers
I have never seen this,,,, wow until today...
Me either and I thought I've seen Farley skits
Same here.
Saw it back in the day. Completely forgot about this skit until I youtubed it recently. The days when SNL was funny, was a time to be alive.
Was this from Martin Lawrences’ banned episode. Either that or he was banned for life for cursing too much when he hosted back in the mid 90s. This had to be a supplemental sketch. Very cool to see it. Again?
They had banned the whole episode but looks like they decided to open Pandora box and show a few scenes. It was mainly his opening monologue that got him banned anyway. But these scenes don't look funny anyway
pause it at 3:03. He's smiling at Sandler. You can tell how much fun they had making each other laugh. RIP to one of the all time greats
Chris farley is that one guy that makes u smile even when your upset.
@Rell Harrow probaly so
Worden i wish you do me a favor and......CLAM UP !
I love how the entire audience of now famous actors didn't even attempt not to grin ear-to-ear when Farley started his speech.
@@carrrexx7190 You edited your comment, your the dummy
Chris Farley is currently in heaven IN A VAN DOWN THE RIVER.
I'll tell you straight up, I know God is real, Chris Farley is loved by everyone, and love is the way. I'm tearing up now, but you're almost certainly right.
He abused drugs. I don’t think that’s a ticket to heaven if it exists.
@@TwoInfinityAndBeyond Turns out, Jesus came to save sinners.
@@TwoInfinityAndBeyond There are a lot of people who abuse or have abused drugs. They all deserve salvation. Don't be that kind of person.
@@TwoInfinityAndBeyond Yes, but being a good person that looked to bring joy and happiness to others certainly is and Chris Farley was definitely that. If only unflawed people could make it to heaven then no one will.
Chris farley makes all the cast members of SNL break character with all of his work.
HOW did I never see this classic Matt Foley sketch, featuring Martin Lawrence!! Loving it!!!
For real. I thought I had seen everything Farley did, but missed this one.
Meanwhile, this is the worst one.
@@burns1210 yeah they really ran with the whole van bit
Because that was the episode Martin was banned from SNL. They will never replay it on tv, especially in this politically correct age.
@@lilylily7072 why was he banned?
Man, it will never be the same without Chris and Phil :(
Yeah...
The audience was not feeling Martin at all.
After, his opening monologue no one was

Bus Stop. What was his monologue about?
@@tthephenomenal it was about female hygiene
Davon Gordon-White ohhhh ok

Those were the days of SNL with the best casts. Adam, Rob, David, Tim and the late Chris and late Phil.
Gothiczartan yea and now it’s all chicks pushing their sjw agenda and the kids think they’re all “edgy” 😪
Sandler has never been funny, he is the worst actor
This isn't funny in any way.
@Nelson Robert Willis Solitary confinement is more fun than this sketch.
NOPE! Eddie Murphy years were the best
3:40 I love how Farley often manages to have Sandler crack up. :-D
LoseYourMarbles bc that his best friend
Yea there isn’t a part of anything part where he didn’t crack up
You just know that Chris, Belushi and Phil Hartman are partying and having a good laugh somewhere in the universe. RIP 🙏
Called heaven bro. If they fortunate enuff to get in. God bless them all they needed it
@@Davido50 if you say so. I figure something better than some place where you are told that you have to be a really good boy or else to bad for you. Lmao 🤣
Belushi was the all-time great - I want to see his movies again.
Dont forget the the ultimate gilda radner roseanne rosannadanna from SNL she was from the John belushi era on SNL
He gave joy to millions of people. I think that counts. He was imperfect, like the rest of us.
The audience did NOT laugh hard enough this skit was hilarious. RIP Chris
I’ve been watching a lot of these older skits and the mid90s audience kinda suck haha. No wonder Farley and Sandler got fired
The Audience is so dead I don’t get it
@@penguinodave I get it
@@acavalieri07 Farley didn't get fired for non laughter. He probably fired for his uncontrollable drug addiction. Sad ending to who they say was a very nice guy.
Maybe they didn't think it was funny.
When a large group of people collectively don't laugh, it's not the audience's fault. If people don't laugh, it means the joke wasn't funny.
I found it funny, but that doesn't mean everyone has to laugh. You don't see me complaining, I just enjoy the skit and move on. Shits funny, some shits only funny to other people. Some of the shit I find hilarious might not make you laugh l, but I still like it without complaining.
Phil Hartman was a national treasure. Loved him on News Radio too. I would have loved to have seen him in more stuff.
Watch Adam Sandler trying his best not to crack up. 😂
Several folks who had worked with Chris Farley have talked about how difficult it was to do skits with him and keep a straight face because he was so freakin hilarious.
Martin Lawrence is one funny dude as well. Chris Farley took it to a whole new level.
Too bad the Blues Brothers couldn't crash in too.... Oh yeah John was already gone.
Imagine Bad Boys with Lawrence and Farley, who plays it straighter than usual and gets dramatic at times.
Chris Farley still cracks me up. It’s damn sad that he didn’t think a woman would love him and be proud to be his wife. He’s freaking adorable! Nothing is more attractive than an amazing sense of humor. And….. over time it is one of the most important things that keep a marriage together, honest and real. I don’t care how “handsome” some dude is, if he isn’t hysterically funny and can’t laugh at himself, forget it. Boring.
He should be here and have a family. Sober he’d be an awesome dad. Drugs and booze really suck.
3:03 That smile Chris gives to Sandler cracks me up because Farley’s goal in every skit with Sandler is to make him break character. He always succeeds. Lol
He crosses his eyes when he's talking to Sandler and makes that bleeping noise just to throw Tim Meadows off.
I never knew that Chris routinely tried to make Sandler break character, that is hilarious!
@@brandonhern I didn't catch that noise he made while looking at Tim Meadows for a split second until you mentioned it. Thanks for pointing out comedic gold for everyone else to enjoy.
I did not know Chris Farley did a skit with Martin Lawrence, this my first time seeing this one.
Wasnt Martin banned after his monologue performance
Probably, i'm not sure. Sounds about right.
Me either bro
I never knew that Martin guest starred on SNL! This was in '94 and his show Martin was still on the air. This was also one year before him and Will Smith starred in Bad Boys.
Martin made some stupid jokes about women hygiene and it didnt sit well the SNL producers, despite being warned not to make this joke prior to his monologue
So many comedy legends in one sketch. And David Spade. But no one beats Farley.
Nothing better than Martin Lawrence and Chris Farley together this was EP
Love how Farley's shirt sweat just magically appears!
Yeh looks like they made a cut there, wonder what we missed.
Was about to comment on that. Now I’m looking for what was cut. But I’m thinking they spliced this with their dress rehearsal because of something Lawrence said or did in the live performance. Not sure which part was live though.
@@unclecreepy7025 I think you must be right. Def must of spliced it from rehearsal.
