Yes this is the way. Had to lay mine down, causing minor scratches, when I first purchased it. Controlled "drop". I had never owned such a heavy bike before so recruited a kind neighbor to assist with getting it upright. This is a perfect example of proper raising of a fallen Trophy. Well done.
Good work. Always a good idea to put the kickstand down as you did, just in case you push too far. I guess the best advice is always - don't drop it haha
I dropped mine got oil dropping out of an overflow?.....topped engine oil all seems fine my god its heavy and hard to lift....minor scratch on fairings one snapped indicator ..thanks for the post usefull

When mine fell, fully loaded for a two up trip, the first thing I did was take the boxes off. Kinda helps.

Yes, put in first gear and have side stand out. Important. And off course in real, take of side bag and top box.

If i was able to get it up with full tank of gasoline. But it needs asfalt under the feets. I often drive allone in Europa.
