I’m italian fromComo lake : best place to visit too …. 1 Abbadia Lariana village 2 from Varenna take road to Esino Lario there is panoramic road for see up the lake … you can go to Valsassina and go to Bellano , up Bellano you can see lake very well

Many years earlier my husband and I travelled to Milano which I didn't like at all. 👎 It is a fully cement town with non tasty food. 🤔 A taxi 🚖 driver suggested to take us on a half day excursion to the town of Lugano in Switzerland. On the highway 🛣️ we noticed the signs to lake Como but, sadly, we did not have spare time to visit it. I admit that Lugano is an amazingly beautiful town too but Como is even more beautiful from what I saw in your amazing video. 😉💯🙂

I can”t give you exact hotels, but the city of Como can serve as your base to explore the lake with good ferry connections. . They offer not only hotels but also airbnb. They also have a train station with connections to Milan.

Is there snow on winter season at Lago di Como?
It rarely snows but the surrounding Alps are snow-capped. Temperatures in winter are between 2-12 C
You left out Cernobbio and Villa d’Este - surely one of the most luxurious hotels in the world!

This is a public ferry that everyone can get on. It stops to many places on lake Como.

Is Lake Como always full of tourists? Or is it busy at certain times of thebyear?
In the autumn / winter (Oct - Apr ) there are less tourists, but the weather is cold and not pleasant. The best time to visit is probably between April - beginning of June, when the weather gets warmer and the tourists will be fewer.
@@aboutravel. Thank you very much for your kind reply. I was thinking of moving to either Italy, France or Switzerland. I’m not a big fan of crowded places. The weather I can handle. So I’m just wondering which places to visit I should put on my short list before making an actual move.
Lake Como is close to the Swiss border ( Lugano) and you may combine both countries

It is busy but not as much as Venice. I think not too much, but yeah so much tourists.
