Wow, thanks guys for bringing back some amazing memories, we went there for my friends wedding, we stayed in a hotel on the waterfront in Bellagio and caught the ferry across the lake to a very small town to a small church (it looks like it was where you were) the bride turned up in a Riva and that was what the bride and groom left in after the wedding. Was the most beautiful place and event in my life. Thanks for bringing it back to me xxx
Varenna has a great view of a small town and good touring around the place of Italy got a nice favorite restaurant to tryout and new cuisine food! Riding the boat all of these spots are awesome to discover and a lot of exciting things to come across from Varenna to Venice, Italy!
Another beautiful video but what’s always so helpful in your films is to be given prices and tips. Lake Como is certainly now on my list of places to visit. Enjoy the rest of your adventure everyone 😊
@@MathersOnTheMap Loved this video as I’m preparing a trip there with my niece in May 2023. Two questions for you, what town is the jumping bridge in (Varenna?) and also you said there was a spot you wanted to take a picture of in Bellagio and hoped it wasn’t too crowded. What spot was that (and did you get the picture?) thanks❤
Really enjoyed your portrait of Lake Como via Varenna and Bellagio.Your wit and family are charming. Sorry about the loss of the footage, sigh.....subscribed to channel, all the best.
Great episode, my wife and I are planning a trip to Lake Como next month and your video gave us some great tips and info. Especially to stay in Varenna instead of Bellagio. Hey Taylor, my wife liked your back pack and was wondering where you got that from. Enjoy your next adventure and looking forward to another awesome video.
I cannot believe in your video and the description you do not mention where you stayed in Varenna !!!! CRAZY !!! Thats why people watch a vid to find out the places where people stay.... and hear there opinion. BIG BO BO ????.
Who doesn't enjoy a good "bridge jumping"? 👍 No worries... you are not alone in having video gear resting at the bottom of body of water! 😂 Scenes of Lake Como from the boat cruise and the shoreline were both cool! 👍 Yeah, I am more into active travel... shopping, sightseeing not really my thing.... 👎 We are headed to Baja ☀🌵 on Sunday... our agenda includes... scuba diving, hiking along the Pacific coast near Todos Santos and "movie night" at Flora Farms... Cabo is truly our second home! Recommend any places along the east coast of Baja that you guys enjoyed and might be worth checking out? -Lee
aghhh enjoy Baja!!! Taylor is sooo jealous of flora farms it’s her favorite! La Postora beach is where we camped out and surfed (lots of overlanders there) not too far from todos but other than that we didn’t explore too too much besides todos before heading down to cabo and east cape. Enjoy the trip!!!!
I’m going in a vacation with my girlfriend’s family (cruise) and staying in lake Como - thank you so much for this video - you guys are awesome. We’re from Long Island so wait til they get a load of us lol. You guys mentioned renting your own boat - was it worth it , not worth it - would you have done it for yourselves ? My girlfriend and I are adventurous
Sounds like it will be a blast! The private boat tour was nice, not having to worry at all and seeing all the sights was amazing. I think there are definitely some trade offs, not sure if there are any limitations on how far you can go etc with renting a boat, we didn’t look much into it
Nice video. Just a question . What mode of payment is accepted in Varenna and Bellagio? Do shops like cafes, pizzerias , restaurants , souvenir shops accept prepaid cards, cc or cash? Hope you will be able to share your experience . Thank you .

I know I'm not the ones who posted the video lol but I can certainly help you out here :) The Bride that you saw is actually in a small town a bit south of Bellagio called Nesso. Many travel here via a boat or yacht but I do believe there is also a ferry station here. For the picture, I am assuming they wanted to get one at the top of the stairs on Salita Serbelloni Street as that is a very popular instagram/tourist photo opportunity. Hope this helps you and if you're struggling with deciding between Varenna or Bellagio to stay in, I'd ask myself, "Do I want to be in a more busy town but one with so many options for restaurants, a great nightlife scene, and endless things to do? OR do I want a more quaint/small town that is equally as beautiful with less to do but also less tourists and more laid-back feel?" The reason I chose Bellagio over Varenna for my upcoming trip is because Bellagio is much more active in the nighttime in terms of restaurants and people out so it is very nice to take a walk and just be in that energy. In Varenna, I assume most nothing will be open past 9:30 which means the whole town is asleep. I just personally prefer a more vibrant town and even though it is more touristy I found that if I stayed in Varenna I'd be wanting to spend most of my days in Bellagio anyways since it has a lot to do and so I figured I'd be better off staying there all together! Hope this helps you out and enjoy your trip!
Wowwwww! This is my favorite trip over seas you have taken. I have to assume that you guys did all this after Ireland? Was it easy to travel through Europe? I might just be your number one fan when I can possibly detect Taylor had a slight sniffle in the video. Was I right?
You were right John! Haha but yes europe is very easy to navigate most of not all speak some English. This was after Ireland. We did Ireland -> Croatia -> Italy
I'm staying in Varenna for 3 nights in May. Great video by-the-way! I'd like to rent that same private tour boat with the same time frame and route. Could you reply with some info; the boat company, time needed to rent and price? Any info would be appreciated. You did the exact private boat trip that I've dreamt to do w/my wife.
Thank you! We booked with www.comoclassicboats.com and went around 11:00 am I believe don’t recall the price unfortunately it was also split by 8 people

Hi! Do you suggest using Como as a base city to visit Bellagio and other cities OR staying directly in Bellagio? I will stay for 3 full days with my wife. If you can give your opinion, that would be great!
Bellagio is very very touristy, we didn't stay in Como since that's pretty far from Bellagio. We stayed in Varenna which we loved, it was quieter and low key but easy to get to and from other places.

Please stay away from Varenna - it is being destroyed by all the tourists and the residents can’t function there properly any more. Go to another lovely lakeside town instead!
Born and raised nearby Lake Como here. I prefer Varenna and in general eastern branch (Lecco side), it is less known but a way better landscape
It’s not even a comparison. Bellagio isn’t worth a visit, never mind an overnight.
