While their latest album is good, I feel Slipknot has been making bad decisions after bad decisions screwing Joey, Chris and Jim one after the other, those guys were amazing and still are great.

jim root is a humble guitarist he knows how to respect others when I see the youtube stay metal ray channel which at that time wanted to try jim's guitar and he was willing to hold his microphone and now he let the officer into his room and thanked the officer for a small action but deserves respect for success continues jim 🙏

My favorite memory of jim root was years ago but still left a mark.
I cant remember what year but they were on tour with lamb of god and shadows fall .
It was around christmas time at the alliant energy center in madison WIS. I worked for the venues contracted security / event staff. When I walked in the building in the backstage area of the arena. Jim had a big rig set up in the " hallway".
Now keep in mind im a huge slipknot fan . on the way to work . i listened to the entire Iowa album ( I lived a long way from the arena) anyway, when i walked in , jim was playing christmas tunes (like only he could play) on his guitar louds as fuck.
I thought it was funny as hell to have one of your favorite metal musicians play jingle bells. 😆.

Which seems like a good purchase for a musician, as he could use it to record rough ideas and be able to make out what he played when he goes back to it.
I understand that it was probably unfeasible for him to go out and get a mic just for this vid, but it's not unreasonable for people to point out that this is pisspoor audio quality. It's 2020 now, and clear sounding mics are easy to come by. Most people should have one.

@@TH3F4LC0Nx lol, yeah. I went through a pirate history phase at some point and most all their flags were unique to whatever pirate. Blackbeard was one of the most ruthless ones so i remembered his flag. It pretty much says all you need to know about trying to deny him entry onto your ship! ☺️

@Luca Cox Believe it or not, the proper English spelling and it applies to most words ending 'ise' originally used a z instead of the s. It is another example of the ever increasing Americanisation of the English language which has now been accepted. I really don't see how Americans can tell the English they are wrong. My reply to any American trying to tell me I'm wrong is simple... "Tell me, what language are you speaking?" He is the one who sprayed John Lennon's Rickenbacker black which has had full web sites devoted to it and was dubbed 'black beauty'. Anyway, we went to the Fender factory in California and Leo Fender himself welcomed us in. He knew of my dad's wirk and gave him actual Fender transfers for the headstock on the occasion he would end up having to completely remake a neck so that his work would then be an official Fender part. That was unheard of. He custom built Robert Fripp's guitar synth. Only one of its kind. At the time, the magazine guitar player did a complete feature about it. I got off track a bit there but I didn't want any Americans to think I was anti American or anything. George Fullerton was there that day and they were just starting G & L guitars. Meeting Jim Root was up there with meeting Fender for me.
