My favorite memory of jim root was years ago but still left a mark. I cant remember what year but they were on tour with lamb of god and shadows fall . It was around christmas time at the alliant energy center in madison WIS. I worked for the venues contracted security / event staff. When I walked in the building in the backstage area of the arena. Jim had a big rig set up in the " hallway". Now keep in mind im a huge slipknot fan . on the way to work . i listened to the entire Iowa album ( I lived a long way from the arena) anyway, when i walked in , jim was playing christmas tunes (like only he could play) on his guitar louds as fuck. I thought it was funny as hell to have one of your favorite metal musicians play jingle bells. 😆.

It's 2020 now, and clear sounding mics are easy to come by. Most people should have one.

Not a Slipknot fan at all but this guy seems so contradictory to the band. Very knowledgeable and precise. I never imagined he could play so well.Seems level-headed and very professional. Kudos to Jim!
