I met them in Belfast Ireland 🇮🇪 one time they were all nice. But see jim he was so cool to my 7yr old son an me. Really came across genuine an was generally interested in us. As I said they were all cool! Clown Corey all off them. But I believe what jim Saying here about the fans say he means it
His Instagram story is always such a tease. I’m stoked to finally get a peak at some of the rad stuff he has. Jim has been an inspiration for basically my entire life. He is such a humble dude and is genuinely the epitome of the kind of guy I’d love to sit down and drink a few beers with.
I have met Jim Root 10 years when he was in Stone Sour and I will tell you he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met and natural goofball. Another thing too he is like the uncle you wish you could have lol
Dimebag was probably my biggest reason for picking up guitar..along with Hetfield & Hammet. Also Kurt Cobain even though he wasn't an amazing player, yet an amazing song writer. Started off initially with a drum kit, but fairly quickly moved to guitar. Like 20-22ish years ago for me too. Jim & Mick were massive influences as well. Time sure does fly 🤯
Jim is the fucking man. I love that he said that if his music helps a fan mentally that means more than any of his toys. He just seems like a genuinely good guy and someone that you don’t have to feel bad to call your hero
I got so excited when I saw this episode was Jim! My nine year old was like “Jim Root! He has Harley’s?!” big love in this house. Such a cool guy, humble in his achievements too.
Such a humble, down to earth, chilled yet hilarious and musical God, Jim is. Wish this video had been 1hr long though, really get into the details of everything but it's still great, Cheers guys!
Jim Root is such a wonderful and humble human being, this is the reason he is loved by so many fans of his music in Slipknot and Stone Sour, great video.
Jim; thank you! My first slipknot show was at "southshore" in Okoboji,Iowa. Long before Corey joined the group. So proud to see Iowa boys getting the success they deserve.
Jim Root is my idol. I am glad to have him be my inspiration for my guitar playing. Slipknot is my favorite band and Jim is my idol and inspiration for my guitar playing. He’d be a great person to meet.🤘🎸
Jim Root looks like a young version of Gandalf the Grey jejejeje (but a metalhead version)... I`m a big fan of his work on Slipknot y i didn`t know that we share the same passion for cars and motorcycles. Thanks to the friends of Prism Supply for share this with the world... Cheers from Chile!! 🍻🍻🍻🍻
I love how Jim is nothing if not consistent. That 69 SG, he had that ten years ago from when he did The Sound And The Story with Fret12. The guy's on a class all his own and while I don't believe in fanboyism or fanatism, I would have loved meeting him. To this day, his Fender Tele is my most wanted guitar of all time.
Jim is definitely one of my all time favorite guitar players, and also inspired me as a guitar player. The first time I saw Slipknot I was front row literally right in front of Jim. I recently bought one of his personally owned Fender Jazzmasters from Wild West Guitars. Back when he sold some of his collection to that shop. Incredibly, Jim himself actually wrote back to me on instagram and we had a nice convo about that guitar and cars too. Really hope I get to meet him one day he seems like such an awesome dude. Such a cool video and great to finally see what his garage and some of his collection!
Only needed to watch 2 minutes to notice the difference between Jim and his singer. What a trip this guy seems SO down to earth. Those are like EXACTLY the Cars Id buy once i become sucessful. Gorgeous Strats & Bikes as well. I dont feel like he’s bragging about what he has. I feel a humble vibe from Jim in this. Great video
Slipknot for sure has been the most important outlet for me through my young years and into where I am now as a almost 40 year old man. Kick ass collection, well deserved!
Slipknot is the reason why I got into metal and Jim is one of my biggest inspirations as far as guitar players. Love how no bs he is, and how unpretentious the man is. He likes what he likes and doesn’t give a fuck what people think.
Im a drummer who taught myself how to play drums playing along to the first 3 albums and disaster pieces dvd.. before UA-cam and Joey will always be my favorite drummer but Jim has always been my favorite member of slipknot. Chill personality, no ego. Even inspired me to learn guitar as well. When I saw them in 99 he was playing janky charvels and I think hes signed by them now. Pretty cool to see his career progress over the years.
THE BEST VIDEO ALL OVER THE INTERNET! I've been a Jim fan since i was 13 and been a motorcycle lover since i was i kid... See both things in the same video just warms my heart ❤
Him slightly choking as he was recalling the onboarding and the rare opportunity made me appreciate him and his heart so much. It's clear he appreciates his path.
Jim you have definitely helped me many times over the years and especially now, you are my inspiration every day, you are so kind and humble and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness to your fans we are truly grateful for your music and being a role model for us all, as you once said, you rock ❤

Jim Root has always been not only my favorite Slipknot guitarist, but my favorite metal guitarists period. This video only made like him even more. Such a down to earth guy. That black 69 Roadrunner is such a sick ass car.
I was at that download festival 2023. First time seeing slipknot. I don't think you can put the energy and their showmanship into actual words. I Know I have seen one of the best live bands I I'll see in my life.
Mopars and guitars. Completely understand. I'm lucky to have a band space in my friends workshop. So I can jam and work on my cars too. Agree mature adolescents. Thanks for the content. Long live the Maggots and Up the Knot ✌️ 🤘 🏴 ☠️ 🇦🇺
I love watching him play. It is a thing of beauty. But, I have to say from my OCD brain, can we talk a second about how clean and organized that garage is? I just started listening to Slipknot's music and I'm hooked. And I think Jim is brilliant.
This guy doesn't know but he made my eyes shine back when i was 12 seeing slipknot live for the first time. Thanks to him, i picked the guitar and tried to be just like him.
Jim Root has been a hero of mine for a long time! Was thrilled to know that he is a Muscle Car and Mopar enthusiast as well! Love those cars!! Cool to see his interests on display like that!
Coming from another Jim, Jim Root is right in there with me...guitars, motorcycles, cars. I wonder if he likes to hunt, fish and golf. I wish he was my friend!
Oh Jim, yes you definitely helped millions of people mentally. Me included! Picked up the guitar because of you.

Jim is such a class act, what a gentleman, just living the dream.

agreed
The next Morgan Freeman

True. He even said hi to fan first 😭 i love him
He deserves all the success that he's had and more. No ego, and all heart. A true artist.
Jim was the reason I picked up a guitar. And the reason why I still play 20 years later

Jim is that kind of "old school and simplicity still the best" type of guy and it's awesome.
I got so excited when I saw this episode was Jim! My nine year old was like “Jim Root! He has Harley’s?!” big love in this house. Such a cool guy, humble in his achievements too.
I had no idea we're basically neighbors and he rides too, it'll never happen, but it would be awesome to ride some miles with him.
I was doing photography for a magazine an I got to meet him. An, he just has a good soul. You can feel it when you meet him.
