Is it possible for someone to completely disappear off the face of the earth, leaving no clue to their fate? Or go missing for days, unable to remember what has happened to them, or worse still, meet their death in bizarre circumstances with no plausible explanation. In this video, we will look at 10 cases where that is exactly what happened when the individuals involved ventured into National Parks. Mirroring what David Paulides believes, these cases and hundreds like them are unusual and mysterious, and with the lack of any other explanation, is there something about National Parks and other Forested areas that pose an unknown but sinister danger to us all.

Thank you for bringing us my by far favorite subject here on 444 missing persons Mysteries. The two cases I loved is deorr kuntz with a lot to bring back as information and the last one is great but Deorr is my first choice. Still missing your marathon. It stopped the booming sounds about you talked on one video but your voice gave me my fuel to separate bad reactions from positives reactions like induced lucid dreams, out of body experiences, sleepwalking and all those helped me greatly to use my gift and enjoy it in a plesent way

@@petepan9696 Its unfortunately true, he still is to be commended for a lot no doubt huge fan been into him for years and years, but its undeniable that he is either not as good an investigator as he claims...or he has intentionally omitted details, those are sadly the only two options, a good example of this short of literally getting FOIA cases yourself to personally go over all the small trivial ad relevant details is well one is this channel this guy called the missing enigma who also goes into specifics on soma of these cases and more then a few which he has personally shown the FOIA details online show plenty of relevant facts that Paulides didn't mention in his coverage, but I dont think for a second he's not a good investigator so I have to assume he deliberately omitted some details on some cases, which is a real shame because plenty our just as mysterious on there own merit. Good example is Aaron Hedges I believe a lot of data clearly raises red flags at his "friends" but mr Paulides seemed to just outright override that and deem it not a criminal case, a lot of these to some small some bigger, but like guy above said definitely not a fraud just some cases seem to blatantly have relevant details omitted is all. So while Paulides is not adding anything untrue or lying, he does seem to unquestionably deliberately omit facts, sometimes! not always but with things like this if even just one case let alone several have relevant details outright omitted then it invited justified skepticism is the point ya know, but Id imagine from his perspective he's vetting them and simply going with his gut likely throws out some with potential for criminal cases and others he deems it's less likely and adds it to his files/books kinda thing. I still admire him a lot though and again its certainly not on all or likely even most cases he's covered. Just one example I gave there but I have personally seen relevant facts omitted from no less than say 6-12+ cases is all, and if there are that many then who can say how many more he may have treaded that line on ya know what I mean?.

I fully believe that Danny experienced a dissociative fugue episode for 6 days before coming to. This would explain the ditching of most of his belongings, as most who experience these episodes don’t have much of an identity, and can become confused by their surroundings. Additionally, a common symptom of fugue states involve a strange phenomenon where those involved just RUN. They get as far away as they can almost inexplicably. I urge you to look into this mental disorder, many who experience it have no history with illness at all.

Probably what happened to Terrence woods on the 5th October 2018 idaho, he was a filmmaker working with a production company called raw tv filming penman mine, he went for a pee on the edge of a small cliff (apparently he has been acting strange according to his coworkers, quiet, withdrawn etc) he jumped off the small cliff and ran down towards the forest, some of his crew ran after him but didn't catch up to him and he was never seen again, a rescue search found nothing.... weirdly another person (76y Connie Johnson) on possibly the same day 56miles away in the same mountain range went missing too along with her dog, she was working as a camp cook for Richie outfitters and had tremendous outdoor survival experience, I say possibly because she was discovered missing on the 5th of October when the group at the camp got back from their 3day trip (she was alone at the camp during that time) but on the 3rd oct she sent a radio transmission that the group couldn't make out what she was saying, it sounded like she was possibly mumbling or maybe it was a problem with the radio who knows.
The dog was found a few weeks later alive but starving, 15 miles away from camp.

Its really scary to think you could blackout and not know who you are but still live a life that doesn't get you locked up somewhere.
It would drive me crazy to not know what I did for over a year. I had a stroke a couple years ago and lost a couple days, its really bothered me. @ri37eh2ushe Dude, watch a channel on here called The Missing Enigma, he uses official documents proving what Paulides claimed isn't true, there was never a Bigfoot like creature carrying something on its shoulder, instead it was a man in his 30s or 40s acting nervous and quickly taking off in a white car and one of the reasons why there were Green Berets in the search was because there was a military base nearby, and one of the Park Rangers involved in the search reported smelling a foul odor that he thought was a decaying human body in a creek below where he was and thought that might've been Dennis Martin. This makes me suspicious on how many other cases he's changed details on.

Derek Leuking was/is a close friend of mine and I don't appreciate you trying to monetize his story by making it seem more unusual than it was. He absolutely had suicidal tendencies, he confessed them to me and I told his family about them. He spent the last of his money at a casino, then when we found out he was at the microtel, the fucking genius who runs the motel warned him we were coming to try and stop him from whatever he was doing. While I pray and hope that he is okay, the chances of his survival are slim. There is nothing unusual about his story though other than we never could find him and that he was deeply depressed.

Are you talking about the UA-cam channel ~ Strange but true? I think his name was Steve White? And yeah the younger kid narrator (I assume from the uneducated way of speaking that he’s younger?) that messes up pronunciations so bad & so often it makes me want to become a missing 411 case myself. {bad joke but ya know..😬🥴} But out of context this random comment on a - not connected to that channel- on a top 5s video is extremely confusing, but I could have my presumption wrong but have to assume that’s what’s being asked or stated here & I too have asked that inquiry & as usual no one cares over there. Even if there were a falling out or whatnot it’s only fair to let viewers know what’s going on. The old stuff is great but yeah sadly it’s turned frustratingly like a lot of UA-cam channels to hot fake‘’creepypasta’’ garbage!

As for the second and final casew, a good guess as to why they were missing such large portions of time, but still seemed to have been doing things they can't remember, is what's referred to as a "Fugue State".
Basically, sometimes due to an underlying mental illness, a degenerative brain disease, or in rare cases an injury to the brain, it can cause someone to basically go on autopilot.
From the outside they can still function, answer certain questions and details, and still create and complete goals, but inside, they're not completely conscious of their actions. Hence why the First guy had new clothes, belongings he didn't recognize, etc.
There is no confirmed amount of time these states will last, but, as in the case of the last guy, it can be months.
There was a case where a Woman who was a school teacher I think, disappeared, and was found swimming around off the cost in New York if I recall correctly, horribly sunburned, delirious, and unable to fully answer why she was there.
Turned out she had randomly started going into fugue states and just so happened to be attracted to bodies of water for some reason. Unfortunately after disappearing and being found like that twice, she moved to another country or state I think, and then disappeared one final time after that. Many of her loved ones believing she drowned or was attacked by a person or animal.
It's crazy because there is not a 100 percent consensus reason as to what can cause this to happen to some people but, they think great stress is one driving factor, but, there have been cases of normal, healthy people, just up and vanishing one day because of it.
I think it happens far more frequently than we know of, and could be linked to the mysterious disappearance of many more people.

I’m surprised he chose these stories. There are many more fascinating ones.
Story 2: Danny had Transient Global Amnesia, where a person experiences sudden, temporary short-term memory loss. They may be disoriented, confused about time & not know where they are, but they’re still alert, attentive & have normal thinking abilities.
Story 4: it was the grandfather’s friend who was giving the kid, DeOrr, candy & acting suspiciously.
People with hypothermia often remove clothing, boots, etc., cuz the body will feel very warm as it dilates blood vessels trying to warm freezing tissue in feet & limbs. The confusion, memory loss & lack of awareness from hypothermia lead them to remove their clothing without realizing the consequences.

I recommend you unsubscribe from Paulides' channel if you follow him, a channel on here called The Missing Enigma pointed out a lot of flaws in Paulides' claims about the Dennis Martin disappearance, there was no hairy man or Bigfoot like creature carrying something on its shoulder, instead it was a man in his 30s or 40s acting nervous and quickly taking off in a white car, and the reason why there were Green Berets in the search was because there was a military base nearby, and one of the Park Rangers involved in the search reported smelling a foul odor that he thought was a decaying human body in a creek below where he was, and he thought that might've been Dennis Martin, the channel even uses official documents proving what Paulides claimed isn't true.

First off, I'm 38 and would imagine there are very fit, healthy, active older people (trying to avoid term "senior citizens") that are in better shape than I am and could possibly out-hike me but I'm probably less likely to suffer a major cardiac episode or some other serious health event than they are. So, with that, I'm not in any way saying older folks are incapable of long hikes in the wilderness but I do feel like the risk of something happening to them alone on a trail or in the woods is high enough that it's a horrible idea to not to have someone with them. Again, just to be clear, I'm not saying these folks aren't capable because they typically have a long history of being active and have spent decades trekking the woods; I just think it's a horrible idea for a 70 or 80 year old man or woman to go out alone and I've watched plenty of these "missing persons" stories where that's exactly what happened. Honestly, we should all buddy-up if we're going far out into the woods on a long hike -- for a whole plethora of reasons -- but, in regards to the likelihood of a serious health event or a debilitating fall, the chances of that happening are far higher with older people than they are with someone in their twenties, thirties, etc.

The scariest one I ever heard that Paulides covered was the father and son. Young boy was playing at a campsite and his dad saw them run behind a tree but his son didn’t return and was gone. 2 years later someone found a report that a family some distance away reported one day they were looking for grizzly bears and the father said he spotted what looked like a huge bear walking upright on a mountain and had something red on his back. This was reported shortly after the other kid went missing. It was 2 years later when the report was linked, they went to the top of this mountain and found the kids clothes and a piece of skull I believe. They said no animal would have climbed that mountain and only advanced human climbers could, but not with a child in their back. Still remains a mystery.

These disappearances only happen when people are alone. This could be easily explained away by saying that freak accidents happen, maybe people fall into the cracks and crevasses of the earth. Maybe they find themselves in hopeless situations, and with nobody around to help them they are left to die. Or, people are picked off one by one while alone by whatever force the Missing 411 seems to point to. One thing is for sure, I’ll never hike the Adirondacks alone ever again. These stories have ruined it for me, or maybe they saved me. I’ll never know. Stay safe everyone.

    @archdukefranzferdinand4429 11 місяців тому +1

Some of these feel like they can be explained by person X goes into the woods alone or wanders out of sight of others into woods. Person X gets lost. Person X as a result of being lost then succumbs to a variety of different deaths that could occur from being lost out in the wilderness. Attacked by an animal, fallen off of a cliff or steep hill/embankment, hypothermia, heat stroke, starvation, Dehydration you get the point.
But some of these just have such little details or evidence that the explanations are simply too broad. Some of the picks here are at there core just a person leaves to go into the woods either by themselves or by separating from a group and they are simply never seen again. Yes it is strange that someone could just vanish like that without a trace but if it was gonna happen somewhere the woods would prob be the place for it.
People underestimate how quickly one can lose track of where they are going in the forest. It can already be a hard place for search and rescue but just for finding a body… it can still be difficult. A body can get lost in a forest like a needle in a haystack and to us it might seem like the person vanished without a trace. But in reality they prob died from whatever it is they succumbed to out there and the woods sort of swallowed them up. Animals picking at it, new bushes, plants etc grow, soil is moved around, leaves fall and degrade. Things can get pretty hidden and a body only becomes harder to find the longer it sits out there before finally it just degrades into the soil like it was barely ever there save some bones buried under the dirt and leaves, roots, bushes, trees. No one would ever find that except perhaps through some freak coincidence.

I always found it weird where national park lines were. Like right up to the road then a mile up the property do not pass line would pop up. I once crossed over when we were staying in this weird camp site up against the road nothing to do of course we went under the fence. Quickly after we heard the loud native drum sound we didn't see anything but all of felt like we were being chased got back not to far away no one but us heard the drums. Also years later to find out this was a hot spot for big foot. That's another story of hearing this massive sounding noise you can tell was across the lake u could feel the bass. But it was like a bad attempt of an owl. Never believed in Bigfoot. But tell u what I instantly thought of big foot. Just sounded so big. Then that's when I discovered years after I've gone camping there it was a pretty well known thing that big foot was a regular visitor. The sounds of foot steps around my tent a separate time u could feel the ground it was big. I thought it was a bear had my dog in the tent. I prayed he would stay asleep out of fear of being stuck and trampled in a tent if my dog got up and started barking. He was in ,my sleeping bag. I felt and heard it circle around camp then to the backside of my tent amd stood up till the sun came up. Because I swear it was standing behind the tent all night it never sounded like it went anywhere. Sun up I got brave enough to get out after hours of no noise and my dog now being up and not sniffing or acting weird. Nothing was there like it just disappeared no sound. This thing i could feel walking around. I got to say all these times something weird happened i never smelt anything like people say that big foot smells horrible. Never experienced that.

Not really, she went off trail alone at dusk to photograph a lake from a ridge without any supplies, just gum and cigarettes and a small bottle of water. The original reports from 1981 say she hiked to a ridge on the John muir trail, so after her older hiking companion was tired, she went on alone. It’s easy to go missing in the wilderness especially at dusk, Yosemite is a death trap.

I’m more frightened in the cities than in the forest. Although the first can be spooky and downright weird sometimes, the chances of something bad actually happening to you is practically nothing if you are:
      1: Armed.
      2: You have a compass.
3: You know basic survival skills.
In a city, none of those things will help you, except maybe #1.
