This is my first Mike Ritland podcast and certainly not my last. Thank you both for such outstanding service to our country! I can attest to Clark's characterization of what it is to be a police officer. I retired after 24 years of service. It certainly is nothing like the teams but it is every bit as complex and difficult as Clark has stated. Most Americans have no clue and are so quick to judge the men and women in blue. Thanks to you both for an outstanding interview!
Mike is great. He has no interest in puffing himself up with any ego bullshit. He just puts the guest in the spotlight, asks really good questions, then sits back and lets the guest talk. He’s a really good interviewer.
Im my mind this is what a podcast should be!! TWO DUDE'S TALKING SHIT ABOUT THE DAYS!! BEST CONVERSATION I HAVE HEARD IN A LONG TIME,GREAT JOB BROTHERS!! I CAN FEEL THE LOVE AND BROTHERHOOD!!
Just spent my Friday night watching this podcast. I've been watching one of these every day since they appeared in my suggestions about a week ago. I'm sharing them with a couple thousand friends as I go. This has to be my favorite, so far. Lots of hysterical moments, and a couple I'm still blushing from. Great interview. And thank you both for your service!
When it comes to you guys there's no such thing as stroking your ego. You deserve every bit of it and if that's what you're going to call it then keep on stroking because you guys deserve it. Thank you so much for everything you've done
No quality control needed here. This conversation between 2 men gets down and dirty in the trenches, and comes up with a wealth of knowledge without taking a breath. Can’t miss this one or any other pod casts with Mike. Awesomeness as abnormal.
I was an AO2 on the Vinson when you were our plane guard. I was BUD/S 218 Feb 98 and remember you 215 guys in your red helmets was the first class I saw. Small world. Great interview!

When I can't sleep and think I'm having a bad time I listen to your podcast and the stories you elite men go through and it makes my problems seem very small. Thank you gentlemen! Much support Mike! Thank you! God bless
So far, this has been my favorite episode! Clark is one cool dude all the way. As a military/law enforcement guy, I completely appreciate all the things he said, especially about his police work. The things we go through and having to make that quick adjustment from cop to husband/dad in just a few minutes, then right back again a few hours later is something most people don't take into consideration, and that most cops see as just part of life. Thank you a thousand times over for everything, Clark, and to you Mike. On a side note, because of your episodes, I have bought Jay Dobyns book and also Nick Irving's first book!
At 42 years old, I don’t think I’ve ever left a comment on anything but I must say that this is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever watched! Real detailed stories, UNCUT, funny, serious, and drinking a cold beer! Nice! My hats off to you guys! Thank you for your services to this country! Pretty cool you guys get to meet up again and swap stories...and we get to be a part of it! CHEERS!
So lovely to hear a badass who respects and fears his mum ... still. Man, coming from a proud military and LE family (but a civilian myself who gets to work with those warriors), I really appreciate the love that gets thrown to those 2 branches of service on this channel! I especially am grateful for how these gentlemen suss out the differences between the two. LEOs are up close and personal the only thing that stands between "them" and "us" and Clark said it perfectly: they don't get to have a buffer (of time and distance) between work and home, so it's a different animal from the military that way. Also, cortisol levels for military warriors are concentrated during deployments; LEOs are *always* needing to be hypervigilant every single working hour, and have to (in a split second) make judgment calls that require a laser (but not linear) focus as our military warriors do. Mike I hope that you realize the service that you're providing with this platform to help educate about the unique struggles of these two populations. I've mad respect for you for that, and I hope that your folks are super proud of the son they raised. Thank you so much!
Im an NYPD Police officer, and big fan of the podcast. It was cool hearing about his experience on the job and I could relate to so much of what he was saying. It was also awesome to hear your appreciation for law enforcement, right on brother.

Easily one of the most interesting people I have ever listen to. An incredible man with so much to offer the world. It truly seems that he is "God-guided." Your "elite" status is in everything you do.
It was really encouraging to hear him talk about his mom and how she influenced him. I chose to focus on education, career, financial stability and giving my son a good childhood rather than dating. I hope he can look back when he’s older and see that the same way.
