amazing interview. I remember when I was a kid and SOCOM U.S. Navy SEAL's game came out, and after that I was hooked. That game offered a little documentary that I'd watch over and over... really changed my mindset and how important it is to never give up.
Excellent interview!! I’m still in shock over Shawn on Rogans podcast. He has so much to say and has lived an extraordinary life. All we got was zero questions and Rogan babbling for 2 hours. I don’t know what that was about. SRS is by far the best podcast out there.
Also right off the bat Rogan began questioning the validity or "truth" of some of Shawn's guest. Like "dude do really believe all of these stories?" Admittedly 1 guys story seemed a bit of a stretch but who am I to question him. JR definitely isn't someone whose opinion I care about.
It undeniably brought a lot of people’s attention who didn’t know who Shawn is or his podcast, which is what Rogan does with his show for the most part. Bring new comedians, scientists, etc on to boost their reach. Then the audience can decide if they want to learn more about the person or subject.
I served in a non combat role and experienced the same kind of misery he talks about in the chapter on the toll, I can't imagine how bad it is for those who served in combat, and particularly in spec ops. The federal government fails vets every step of the way, long wait times and terrible treatment plans.
I love these style of interviews just letting the guy talk. Especially someone like Shawn. All the other interviews of him being interviewed i feel like people always talk over him. Bro has a crazy good career. Love him and respect him so much.
I lvoe Shawn Ryan’s story, a regular man becoming a great warrior, leaving that life overcoming Addiction then making a podcast and UA-cam channel showing stories like his and actually helping people
As a veteran suffering from complex PTSD, I feel I have tried all options. However when he started to mention psychedelic treatments toward the end of the video I was elated to hear it was through the VA. There is hope!!
It wasn’t the experiences of a SEAL but my 8 1/2 years of insane extremes still took it’s toll… I took a pass on the common substance abuse path but can’t stop needing to frequently close myself off to everyone and everything except nature instead. Family hates it but being completely alone with NO WORDS and only nature making sounds brings the peace…. This was a great interview, thanks.
Oh dude they, like most recruiters are relentless. I remember after HS, it was like 2002, and I took the ASVAB placement exam, and scored like a 96, or 98, just remember it was a high even number. At the time I was interested in the Army special operations track...I didn't know much about the Marines, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard. Not that I didn't know per say, but I was just more interested in specifically land based Special Operations. Anyway, the recruiter told me I could have my pick of where I want to get placed, and handed me a contract to take home to sign. My dad ended up talking me out of it (he served in the army in USSR), something I kinda regret this many years later (but who knows, he probably potentially saved my life). The point is for years, after I took the exam, I would have various recruiters calling me nonstop. I think they finally stopped around '09 or '10.
And remember, when in bootcamp you will be offered a “dream sheet for duty stations”. Always go opposite coast to where you really want to go. Although I said Miramar and ended up in Guam.
I remember in 2000 I visited my first recruiting center. Two days later they were showing up unannounced at my house. Relentless, they have to be though.

Psilocybin works wonders every 3-4 months. Someone asked what it does for me, and the best way to describe it was to say, "It's like rebooting a computer that stays on 24/7."
Glad to hear this brother talk about it.
Hoorah!
It doesn’t work for everybody. It can cause psychosis.
Shawn Ryan, best interviewer on UA-cam.
John Allen, AKA Mr. Ballen, best storyteller on UA-cam.
2 former Navy Seals. It can't get better than that.
God bless our current and former military. 🙏
Mr Ballen is a good story teller, and I'm not even into that kinda content lol. He's just good.
The most amazing interview in a long time.
Been a fan of SRS since episode 1! Has evolved into the most reliable and fascinating source of news & history. Great interview! Hope SRS is around a long time! He's getting so famous & popular it's hard to think Shawn won't move into the next chapter...what that may be!🇺🇲
Sean makes it easy to sit through a long interview
I've been on board with Shawn for years and I'm so glad he's popping up everywhere these days. Grats!
Why do you like him?
@@DarkForestNews-fo3zwbecause he’s a certified legend and he’s real
Shawn is amazing and I'm happy to see he's finding some sense of peace.
I really enjoy Shawn's videos, but I never really knew anything about him. He seems like a top-notch dude. Thanks for sharing.
Wow what an incredible interview. Thank you for sharing your experience
amazing interview. I remember when I was a kid and SOCOM U.S. Navy SEAL's game came out, and after that I was hooked. That game offered a little documentary that I'd watch over and over... really changed my mindset and how important it is to never give up.
That game was the best
I lost my summer to that game on my psp!!!
It was janky fr lol
Never give up playing console games in your underwear while you smoke a bowl.
@@thert.hon.thelordnicholson7261 LuL I was 10, and my "ps2 time" was earned, and I dont do drugs, even today 🙂 get some help.
Shawn Ryan is the man!
What a GREAT interview. Shawn is so authentic
Great interview. Congrats and best of luck Shawn! Watch your show often.
By far the Shawn Ryan Show is the best podcast in the world
Everyone do yourself a favor and go watch the Shaw Ryan show podcast. One of the best out 💯
SRS is the best podcast!
Shawn for President.
Like "dude do really believe all of these stories?"
Admittedly 1 guys story seemed a bit of a stretch but who am I to question him. JR definitely isn't someone whose opinion I care about.
Jealousy and inferiority complex on Joe Rogans side
I can listen to Shawn all day
I lvoe Shawn Ryan’s story, a regular man becoming a great warrior, leaving that life overcoming Addiction then making a podcast and UA-cam channel showing stories like his and actually helping people
Thanks for the platform, the things you speak out for, and the voice you give not to only veterans but those wanting truth.
As a veteran suffering from complex PTSD, I feel I have tried all options. However when he started to mention psychedelic treatments toward the end of the video I was elated to hear it was through the VA. There is hope!!
My FAVORITE interviewer! We love you, Sean. 🇺🇸♥️
Shawn is so easy to listen to, great interview and narrator.
Shawn deserves all the attention. The best podcast
I love Shawn Ryan, he is a true patriot and American.
Shawn is the man.
This was incredible! Awesome watch.
guy is a true Patriot
Thank you, Shawn. I'm glad you are still here and that your work is helping others and our country, at least what's left of it.
followed him way back, so glad to see him grow
Condolences to everyone who may deal with the notorious "navy recruiters" in the future

@@ryanfarrow6058Huh?
And remember, when in bootcamp you will be offered a “dream sheet for duty stations”. Always go opposite coast to where you really want to go. Although I said Miramar and ended up in Guam.
I remember in 2000 I visited my first recruiting center. Two days later they were showing up unannounced at my house. Relentless, they have to be though.
This is dope. Love his show. Nice to learn more about him vs him learning about other people's story
Loved this interview. Love the Shawn Ryan show too!!
Amazing interview, thanks
That was one of the best interviews I have ever seen. Thank you
Mr. Ryan is a certified badass. I highly recommend his content.
Thank you for presenting to us how your line of work operates and the conditions you encounter. Very educational.
We love Shawn Ryan!!!
Well done Shawn.............as always!
I’m not sure about anybody else, but I’m so glad this guy blew up on the Internet . Shawna I can imagine the people that you’ve helped since you’ve been doing this. I know you’ve helped me through some stuff. Thanks for what you do, man God bless you.
Shawn Ryan is a national treasure.
