Andy....I hope you realize how great you are at hosting your podcast. Your self-deprecating humor and kidding around with your guests is fantastic. I found myself laughing out loud a couple of times during the podcast. I listen to a lot of podcasts out there and yours is by far the best. Please keep doing them.
Andy your contributions to the Podcast world are priceless. Your take on the "War" episode and the episode before that were so powerful. Thanks Brother
Great show guys. We can't thank y'all enough for everything you have done for this great country. I'm looking forward to round 2. God bless you both and God bless America. 🇺🇸
Great podcast...!!! I was a Chief down in medical when that guy grabbed the fire extinguisher and jumped. He swears he saw one of the screws pass overhead as the ship passed. I haven't heard that fu*king story n YEARS.
Andy, I have a suggestion/request. Could you start asking your guests to bring pictures of themselves in their old jobs? I find it interesting to see what everyone looked like in the past, especially operational people. That's probably creepy sounding, which is exactly how I meant it! Thanks man, keep up the great work.
Great podcast! I can completely relate to turning off the family during a mission. I ran a husky or a 50 in OEF and very focused jobs, like deliberate route clearance really forced a switch to be flipped to be good at it. Paying attention to details for looong periods of time under stress of explosive. Definitely a wild time riding the lightning.
I knew I recognized this guy! As soon as Andy mentioned riding I was like... is this is the guy who rode the Baja 1000....(quick goolge search later)....Confirmed!! Fuckin A man.... I love it when shit comes full circle. Too Awesome!
As a veteran LEO, I really relate to what Steve says about things not being a big deal outside of a combat environment. My wife, for example, can max out and get to level red, out of control stress because she burned pancakes. It can be VERY hard to relate to each other in those times!!!
No, average people(such as me) are not equipped to make life or death decisions in seconds. I get it you guys down play your intelligence but, being able to do that is a special skill/intelligence. Great podcast. Thank you Andy/Steve
I think what they’re getting at is they’re drug addicts. The drug is adrenaline but it’s a story of two junkies chasing their first hit. Love you guys, thanks for your service.
I think you missed the point. I don’t think it’s adrenaline that these type of people have or chase because adrenaline would make them horrible at their jobs. It’s something totally different.
Does anyone ever fall asleep in the back of SDVs on long transits? It just seems like you would be bored out of your mind in one of those things unless you were the ones driving it.
Holy shit Andy, not sure if your aware but the advertisments on this one are out of control. in the first 22 min of this podcast I have literally listened to more advertisment than you guys. Hearing about superfood 6 minutes at a time and learning about cool shit 4 min at a time
"Hutch, if you can do one pull-up, I'll listen to what you have to say, and if you can't, get the fuck out of here...." Great, Andy, now I gotta wipe off my monitor screen....but yeah, gotta love people who are, let's us say, lacking in the application department, but are extremely educated in the "theory" of something (you don't even have to ask, they'll let you know how smart they are).
You need to shake this fucker up (said with love) and rattle him out of that shell. Seems super interesting, yet too ‘militant’ (meaning raised in an environment where being opinionated is a bad thing) still and oh my fucking word, if he let it flow, it would be amazing. Some shit can’t be said, (no shit) but the things that can be, should be. Super stoked, and many thanks.
@@Becarhodzic cause SDV is a hard/long course and there aren’t many SDV SEAL’s. Putting then in a Assault SQDN while NSWDG has a own SDV element seems a waste. I mean there are way more ‘regular” SEAL’s fit for that role than SDV SEAL’s
@@G4x5da Yeah all may be true. But he clearly showed something that made the people making the decisions put him in assaults'. The fact is this man spent 24 years in doing work. You saying it was a waste is pretty disrespectful.
It would be awesome if you got someone from the Unit to come on the podcast. I think Tyler Grey would be dope, because both of you were injured overseas. Would be great to hear about the differences and similarities of the two communities, and it would be awesome to hear you two shoot the shit.

I’m a little late. Andy the big question bigger than a big thing about describing how you actually loved being EF or IF .... I lied. I agree 100 %%% !!!

Really enjoy this. I love the other big military podcasts but Stumpf has a lot more fun than most of the others which is a great change of pace :)
Absolutely love the interaction between you 2. Bring Steve back on! 🤘🏼

"Jesus was your swimming buddy." 🤣 Andy is dynamite, never stops 🤣
This is so underrated 😂
@@adammound1982 Dude, peeling the layers on that statement is awesome.
We're gonna need a round 2 you guys left too much out. This was sick
I’ve been listening to your podcast for a few years now and I believe this is my favorite episode… great job man!
Great show guys. We can't thank y'all enough for everything you have done for this great country. I'm looking forward to round 2.

God bless America. 🇺🇸
Gents, had a great time listening your voices and hearing your stories. Damn fine.
Thank You Sir
Another great one Andy. You have to get a CAG guy on your show. I know in general they're much quieter but a few of them would probably do your show.
hulk angry they never talk about anything really, so kinda pointless.
0:02 @@shammy3138 Ya I know they don't really talk about missions ( they shouldn't) just to kind of compare and contrast personalities and attitudes.
pat mcnamara has been on a few and his own called university of baddassery

Kyle Lamb is former CAG and he's one of the funniest guys to show up on podcasts. Old school warrior.
what about pj and cct?
Andy, you should go old school and interview Howard Wasdin, from "Black Hawk Down".
I think he was in Red squadron. I was his LPO at HS-7 as a rescue swimmer before he made it into the Teams.

Man you have got a good podcast going! Definitely my new favorite. Keep it up dude!
Great podcast. Saw the video autoplaying and thought Pat Mac was on the show. They look pretty similar..
AidanRIR, I thought the same exact thing!
Me too.
He looks like James Hatfield from Metallica great podcast

Agree. Andy looks like Colby Covington MMA fighter.

I would say more the actor Ron Perlman than James Hetfield from Metallica but sure,I can see that, too.

Steve, if you read this I really appreciate your work on the new modern warfare! I love that game!

What an awesome demeanor this guy has. He looks like an OG transition skater. Killer podcast Andy!

Isn’t a waste to put a SDV guy in a assault Squadron instead of the mobility Sqdn? I mean NSWDG has there own divers/SDV don’t they?
