He does feel that way towards earth, it's insane literally no one has figured it out by now. He wanted to wait till mark and debbie died of old age because he was attached to them and he didn't want them to see what he had to do. But when mark got his powers, he realized the truth, that he had to do what he had to do. S2 next year :) Or The Boys, realistic superhero show on “hero”s abusing their powers and how corrupt they can really be. Not sure if y’all into anime but a good first one would be Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Won anime of the year and is very short. Insane how they could be put the whole story in 10 episodes (dub version is better) all three are 10/10
This episode showed everyone Nolan's point of view, whether they realized it or not. Everyone was "meh" in regards to the bugs because they "only lived a year anyway". Plus they were "just bugs". Everyone "gasping" at Nolan's pet comment and vilifying him for not taking humans seriously, did the exact same thing with the bugs. Humans are below viltrumites with fractions of a lifetime. They're not "that" serious for Nolan. Why would they be?
In my opinion, this is such a compelling argument that it just cannot be refuted once you're cognizant of the corresponding juxtaposition. I openly acknowledge that I was among those who took offense after Nolan called Debbie a pet. But this definitely changes things, for me at least. Loved this 'food for thought' plot device.
Exactly, that’s such a good point. Humans are literally hypocrites. To Nolan, Humans were insects to him, same thing applied here. Glad Mark realised later on that there are more significant lives out there than just Humans living on Earth.

Thanks for realizing it’s just a joke 😂 but I love this perspective, i love the storytelling in this because it shows Nolan is capable of caring for other species that have a short life span.
The show skipped a scene from the comic explaining Nolans mindset. He thinks to himself about how he was originally going to conquer Earth right away. When he met Debbie and decided to delay his mission a bit. Decades of marriage would be like a two week vacation to him. A break. Then they had Mark and he decided to wait until both mark and debbie died of old age. When Mark got powers, Omniman realized he couldnt follow that plan anymore and he got right back to "work." Thats why he wasnt too happy about Mark getting powers. When you asked about how Nolan was holding off multiple viltrumites - one called him "The Great Nolan." Loved this small deviation from the comics, when Omni-man tried to kill himself. Just goes to show the amount of pain he felt, realising what he’s done and what he’s lost.
"I told you he got bitches". That sentence made me think of one of my favourite and in a strange way heartwarming quotes from later in the comics. Because of spoilers I won't give away who says it and in what context: "That woman is of limited importance. You have nearly a dozen women spread all over the globe who are currently impregnated with your offspring." "I know, and I love them all!"
Naw he definitely cares for Debbie. He could of killed Debbie plenty of times. They’re are a few people Nolan cared for. They were Mark the most then, Art, and Debbie. And the only reason he didn’t kill William was because that was marks friend. But Nolan was willing to kill everyone else. And him calling Debbie a pet was him trying to convince himself otherwise. And to be honest if you compare viltrumites life span and humans it kinda make sense. But hell some people love their pets more than humans. And of course he moved on. Like he said he can’t go back to earth. His life is over there. So might as well.
Just want to note that the way we view the Thraxans in terms of life span is how Omni-Man views humans. When you live thousands of years then the little 100 years we get seems small. That’s why the writers made the Thraxans that way I think
15:15 The second time something broke in Nolan. The Viltrumite mentality and what he shouldn't have felt. I love how the one girl literally basically prooved she would see omni mans point in season one with the thraxans at the black hole "i mean they only live 6 days anyway, may as well go in the black hole" this is literally what omni man was saying about the humans on earth.
“He never did that to Debbie...” Uhh are we watching the same show? Cause literally the first episode and scene we have is of him making out with her in front of Mark 😂😂
So in the comics Nolan took over as friendly as he could the thraxen planet So that when he was called to face leaving his post, he would not suffer as a extreme punishment The fight on this planet was even more intense in the comics because Mark couldn’t fight any of them, so Nolan literally fought everybody and saved his son from getting killed several times in the comics
Mark has apparently been training on his own, a thing that did not happen in the comic. Also, a lot of later story has happened in the seson 1, so Show Mark is stronger than Comic Mark for this fight. But still, I remember Mark being considered weak on Viltrum standard until like chapter 120 or something. Having him 1v1 an adult Viltrumite on what would be ch30 feels really weird.

i think omni man just gave mark a hint that there is a gun or a virus that can kill the viltrumites. when he mentioned about some books! by the way loved your reaction!
The man with the invincible gun is 100% spaceracer. It even looks like him on the front page atleast the colors match the outfit. Spaceracers gun is the most powerful weapon in the universe and can easily blow up an entire planet
omni man has lived for thousands of years, he has been so indoctrinated for his entire life to be this evil dude. buuuuut Debbie and mark has changed him. its very realistic that he got with the grass hopper cuz he was very vulnerable and depressed. Andressa was a way to take his mind off of his family on earth, a way to try and move on. she basically saved him from killing himself. yes its his fault and mark is completely in the right but omni knows this, and doesn't try to argue that what he did was ok. omni man has a very good redemption ahead of him.
You know what I found out ?😂 After seeing your reaction. Dee is a bit more heart broken or Untrusting of others, as compared to Meesh.😂😂❤❤ Meesh Still gives a chance 😂, but Dee is a straight up Viltramite 😂😂.
In the comics after he hugs his dad Mark starts weeping uncontrollably and *BEGS* for Nolan to come back to Earth and to Debbie so they can “go back to the way things were”. It felt completely out of character and really did a disservice to Mark. They also showed things that weren’t in the comics, like how exactly Nolan actually came into contact with the Thraxans, and how he felt such guilt and remorse for what he did the he nearly killed himself by falling into a black hole. Just like The Last Of Us this show is staying faithful when it had to and deviating when they need to. This show is better than the comics because Robert Kirkman is essentially getting a do over for all of the things he either wishes he wrote differently or cut altogether.
I think he loves Debbie. And him calling her a pet was like some sort of defense mechanism because viltrumites are not meant to be compassionate or loving with others. He’s just trying to convince himself otherwise. There’s no way he doesn’t in my opinion. Like Debbie was saying, “was ALL of it a lie?” It really wasn’t. It was in a CERTAIN way, but I think she actually changed him. Why else would they show the flashback to Mark’s childhood and Nolan feeling the way he does?
One of my favorite subtle things about this episode are not just how closely Nolen's journey through the stars mirror Debbie's barefoot walk through the city, but how both of them have moments where they're contemplaiting ending everything...except Nolen only didn't do it because something showed up to distract him from it and Debbie didn't do it because of her own willpower. Because like Art said, she's stronger than Nolen.
Foreshadowing: Back in the first episode of season one when Mark was still learning how to fly, he crash landed into the ground and his dad said “I guess that still counts as a landing” He said that because that’s how viltrumites land on a planet that they’re about to attack
I wanna start off by saying, you are right, Nolan did love Debbie, and it even shows in the first season that, despite doing his job as a Viltrumite finally after 20 years of being there, he still cared what she thought of him, which is why he tried to convince her to trust him, and also why he tried to convince her of the validity of his reason for killing the Guardians after she found out. He also cared for humanity would have ended up more similar to the Flaxans in episode 2 of season 1. In as far as his job goes, his task was to weaken the planet then prepare it for Viltrumite rule, otherwise the others would destroy humanity if they weren't in line with Viltrumite rule by the time they got there. Hence why he started off killing the Guardians. In the comics, Nolan said that he was hoping to live out Mark and Debbie's lives as a family together before resuming his mission, but once Mark got his powers and would now live at least as long as him, he could no longer do that hence why he seemed upset when Mark got them finally, because it meant he had to get back to work and had to get Mark on his side to help him convince humanity to submit to Viltrumite rule, because if Mark ended up being in opposition to him he'd have to kill him and obviously he didn't want to do that, and in the end he couldn't, as much as he tried to convince himself otherwise. If he didn't care about Mark, Debbie, or even humanity he wouldn't have ever bothered with any of that after killing the Guardians, who were the only real threat to him as you could see in episode 1. The moment he did that he could have revealed his plans, and been like "yeah, I killed the Guardians, so what? Submit to our rule or suffer the same fate", and in addition he could have killed Mark at any time once he showed himself to be in opposition to his mission, and could have killed Debbie as well when she found out about the Guardians, but he didn't because he cared. Only thing that's different in this episode is now Mark helped him resolve his conflict with his Viltrumite brainwashing and detachment from shorter-lived species, and also Nolan is now on the receiving end of what he did to Mark on Earth, and is experiencing all the feelings that came with it, forcing the last bit of his Viltrumite ways to the surface(hence the "why do I care about them?") speech. As for why he didn't stay on Earth, there's two reasons, one of which he mentioned in the episode. One, if he stayed there then this same thing woukd have happened on Earth when the Viltrumites found him, instead of just on Thraxxa. Which shows how much he cared for Earth. And the second ofc, being that his life on Earth was now over, there was no remaining there after what he did, he'd forever be seen as a monster and hated by everyone he'd come to care about, so he just had to move on. He probably wouldn't have even got Mark over there if he didn't need help defending the Thraxxans from the Viltrumites once they arrived. So yeah, Nolan isn't up to anything fishy, and this isn't the only time he cared or loved his wife and child, otherwise at the very least he would never have stopped killing Mark and wouldn't have abandoned his post. The Thraxxans just lucked out that he had already gone through significant character development before he arrived on their world which is why it seems more like he cares more about them than he did about Earth.
Honestly they haven't changed all that much from the comics. For the most part the show has been pretty faithful to the source material. Most of what does get changed, is stuff that wasn't all too important to begin with.
I think the important part of how conflicted Nolan is about his family and his duty is now Mark is stuc with the same job andthe same impossible choice. Is MArk strong enough to fight all the Viltrimaites? Can he organise a real threat to them or is it easier to cave and let Viltrime take over Earth. He'd have to be stronger then everone to stop becoming his father and protect his people. He'd have to be.......I don't know how to describe it?
12:30 Well tbh even tho it is an insect he's with, She doesnt give off masculine vibes like debbie did, Debbie was combative with dominant energy which is repulsive to the male gender whereas this creature is feminine and submissive which is what male nature values and thus giving him this dire need to protect her
The guy not respecting the rules is normal; That's just what people do when they're trying to get to know someone. They share personal stuff about themselves. And he was right about it not being safe for her to be in the support group. Her presence would be disruptive and counter productive. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few kind of thing. I do oppose the idea that she should've known about Omni-man; no one ever really knows anyone. Also the idea that losing a marriage or a relationship is just as bad as losing someone to murder is...weird. I've been through both and i can say, death is worse. One day you're fine the next you think of all the things they'll never see, the children they'll never have, the life that's been taken. What makes invincible so great is that you can see everyone's perspective: Cecil is a manipulative bastard but he wants to protect his nation; Atome eve can do anything, but should she; even Nolan wants to be a loyal soldier for his people, but now realize that the Viltrumites colonisation policies are anti-life. It's shades of grey all over. It's great.
There were only seven Guardians of the Globe. With all the other superheroes out there, the probability that Debbie would walk into a group that had someone connected to a Guardian was low enough that it made sense to try it out. And even after being told the guy was Green Ghost's spouse, her presence would only have been "disruptive" to anyone else had she announced who her husband was--which she kinda did, and shouldn't have. That said, she might have eventually left the group on her own and decided being there was inappropriate, even if she *hadn't* found out a Guardian family member was in the group. (Even if not every other group member lost their loved one to some sort of on-the-job death or accident, I imagine few of them experienced anything close to the sort of situation Debbie did; she'd basically be unable to really share anything of significance.) Still, the "you should have known" line was low.
This was a crazy episode bruh, but I do wanna say.. viltrumites get reallllyy fuuuggggeddd uppp in this show, like the guts, head squish and the mouth rip are absolutely nothing compared to what might come lol. Amazing reactions though
so that thraxan spent a week getting to mark and back or about 2 weeks. they live for a year so yeah thats a pretty large chunk of their life. wouldnt that be like 5 years for us or something???
I don’t know how people could possibly see where the guy in the support group was coming from. Debbie isn’t the problem she is literally a victim as much as they are. Also from a point of view she kind of had it the worst with the last 20 years of her life being a lie and having a husband who you thought loved you but instead the entire time saw you as a pet. Like the others will eventually move on but what was done to Debbie is a lot and might be harder to move on from.
The support group guy was being emotional. I get it. People say dumb things when their feelings are going nuts. He was looking for someone to blame. And Debbie was close enough to Nolan to blame.
@@M.Evra91 idk I don’t really buy that. I mean with how the situation was I don’t see how emotional or not you would possibly think to blame her I mean it’s incredibly easy to see that she had nothing to do with what Nolan did and who he was I mean even Olga didn’t blame her. Also there is nothing that stops him from blaming Omni-Man I mean even if he’s not there he’s still the one who literally did it.
@@Greenhawk4 People take their frustrations out on the innocents like that ALL the time in the real world. I think this scene was well-written. Debbie should have kept her mouth shut about Nolan's spouse.
ignoring the implications of nolans new wife and the age they began talking then effing. from a viltrimite (sic) perspective, nolan is nasty af, sticking his thing in every thing. he wasn't even supposed to have mark
@@redharlow9750 idk it seems kind of obvious to me. Like not that he would have to be with a Russian woman but like if one is there it makes sense who her spouse would be.
I've never seen so much gore in an animated fight scene in my life. This episode gives me chills because, for the first time, we get to see Mark's full potential as he fights by his dad's side.
They ended the cliffhanger season the same way The Boys was left. And I find it incredibly lazy. "I can't hurt you!" and then they get screwed. It's poor writing.
That guy was right, he was at a support group for people omni-man killed. How could they feel safe talking and being vulnerable with her in the room. He didn't threaten her, he just knew he couldn't open up with her there.
The support group was for partners of dead superheros, not just omni mans victims, debbie was pretty much the same as the rest she had a partner that couldnt be with her very long and was no longer there and she couldnt talk abt it with anyone because he was a superhero/villain, the dude was being an ass it makes sense that hed be angry but he was in the wrong
@@redharlow9750 no they weren't at least not all of them, in the epsiode there were seven people there plus olga who went there before and debbie, there are seven guardians that were killed, aquarius we know had a wife, green ghosts bf was there and olga was red rushes partner, so theres theee guardians that we know for a fact had partners and two were in the groups which leaves 5 guardians and 6 people in the group, so theres at the very least one person there that wasnt involved with one of the guardians and also in the first ep this is just speculation on my part but martian man didnt seem to be very interactive with humans other than that kid plus they never said it was a support group for omni mans victims
@@Man-O-Little-Tan Martian Man is clearly one of if not *the* most social one of the group, it's shown on the news when the guy from mars is scolded about not being able to pay his rent
So, the way they did the invincible logo mid sentence, it didn't fit in there and he continued the sentence without the invincible logo being meaningful, it's the cracking, it's mark, it's his mind, and by episode 8 I think Mark is going to shatter in one way or another.
The title sequence was just a joke, referencing previous episodes. "If you want to save the world you've gotta be invincible". Thought it was pretty funny.

@@patrickrobie1592 i beliel than is generaly what autor think about an adaptation of their book "a big publicity" espetialy when u alredy have made well known hit like walking dead.
Pushing for more would be asking to much from the guys that pay for the making of the show and might also make it to slow for the average ADHD tiktok kid
If it resembles the comics, every season will be crazier and cooler than the last. Can’t wait for some of the other heroes to make appearances.

i think omni man just gave mark a hint that there is a gun or a virus that can kill the viltrumites. when he mentioned about some books! by the way loved your reaction!
Indeed
Loved y’all reaction def got a subscribe!
Thanks for your support! 🤗🙏🏽
there's no way he could stay on earth after what he did lol
Been waiting on this one
So, you’ve met JK Simmons, now Steve Harvey. Just wait til Freddie Mercury shows up
3:37 He was about to kill himself by floating into a black hole.
You know what I found out ?😂 After seeing your reaction.
Dee is a bit more heart broken or Untrusting of others, as compared to Meesh.😂😂❤❤
Meesh Still gives a chance 😂, but Dee is a straight up Viltramite 😂😂.
This is the funniest comment!! 😂 you got us cracking up
In the comics after he hugs his dad Mark starts weeping uncontrollably and *BEGS* for Nolan to come back to Earth and to Debbie so they can “go back to the way things were”.
I agree. In many (really, most) ways, the show is an improvement over the comic.
He got some of that Mantussy🤣🤣 and had a whole baby.
When you said “they only live like 6 days what’s it matter” that is exactly omnimans point with humans.
"dont be a pussy" - if mark is anything like in the comics, then you are spot on here
😲😮💨😮💨
10:45 I think because they grow up in a week or so, so he was traveling for at least 2-3 weeks. He was probably just a month old.
Foreshadowing:
Back in the first episode of season one when Mark was still learning how to fly, he crash landed into the ground and his dad said “I guess that still counts as a landing”
He said that because that’s how viltrumites land on a planet that they’re about to attack
I had to break the 666 likes lol!
I love the parallel between Nolan and the black hole and Debbie and the bridge.
if you guys are animation focused and haven't seen it, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is usually a popular and satisfying reaction series
That’s a good suggestion! I’ve been wanting to get into that show -M
great reaction instant sub

He's like 5000 years old. He has probably had like 100 wives. The 20 years with Debbie is like a blip in time to him.
If you like Invincible you guys would love The Boys. Please react to it if you haven't seen it. 😊
I love yall

Honestly they haven't changed all that much from the comics. For the most part the show has been pretty faithful to the source material.
Most of what does get changed, is stuff that wasn't all too important to begin with.
I think the important part of how conflicted Nolan is about his family and his duty is now Mark is stuc with the same job andthe same impossible choice. Is MArk strong enough to fight all the Viltrimaites? Can he organise a real threat to them or is it easier to cave and let Viltrime take over Earth. He'd have to be stronger then everone to stop becoming his father and protect his people. He'd have to be.......I don't know how to describe it?
she really said now or in 6 days what difference does it make
He smashed a bug but still the baby looks human, viltrumite genetics are strong af.
18:56 these girls have adhd or something. He broke his spine which would kill a person.
12:30 Well tbh even tho it is an insect he's with, She doesnt give off masculine vibes like debbie did, Debbie was combative with dominant energy which is repulsive to the male gender whereas this creature is feminine and submissive which is what male nature values and thus giving him this dire need to protect her
The bugussy had Nolan actin' up
The guy not respecting the rules is normal; That's just what people do when they're trying to get to know someone.
(Even if not every other group member lost their loved one to some sort of on-the-job death or accident, I imagine few of them experienced anything close to the sort of situation Debbie did; she'd basically be unable to really share anything of significance.)
Still, the "you should have known" line was low.
Steve Harvey ? i lost it lmao
I can’t be the only one that thought this!! 😂😂

I also would like to suggestion demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen for you guys to react, jujutsu kaisen is on hype right now with the new season

I've never seen so much gore in an animated fight scene in my life. This episode gives me chills because, for the first time, we get to see Mark's full potential as he fights by his dad's side.
Trust me, when it comes to gore you haven't seen anything yet.
It's a small detail but Andressa's mannerisms are similar to Debbie's too.
They ended the cliffhanger season the same way The Boys was left. And I find it incredibly lazy. "I can't hurt you!" and then they get screwed. It's poor writing.
You guys should watch Demon slayer or JJK
We do want to do JJK 😂 Thanks for the suggestion Nicky!

@@Man-O-Little-Tan but all the dead superheros were omniman's victims

Hi subbe, great reaction
So, the way they did the invincible logo mid sentence, it didn't fit in there and he continued the sentence without the invincible logo being meaningful, it's the cracking, it's mark, it's his mind, and by episode 8 I think Mark is going to shatter in one way or another.
The title sequence was just a joke, referencing previous episodes. "If you want to save the world you've gotta be invincible". Thought it was pretty funny.
