Great vid, just a little advice... recoding in portrait ( vertical ) doesn't look as good as landscape ( horizontal ) and might have some people decide to leave quickly or not return. But great info bro👍🏼
I'm a big fan of off label use too. I use this x-press too in my car. But also, I use it for my macbook. After cleaning my computer with a detailing brush and a very little amount of APC, I protect if with this x-press. I use it on my ipad, phone etc...finger print will go more easy after treatment. Very good stuff ! I use it in my bathroom too, on the shower glass and on the mirror. But we must use it like you show in the video. 2 spray on a microfiber is more than enough and sometimes we add on spray. More efficient for cleaning, easier to buff (how you say in english ? buff off ou buff up ...I don't know...lol) and of course it's more economical !
Another "super off" label use, lol : after you have cleaned your shower glass in bathroom, you can protect it with x-press. Or with any wax. I will try soft99 for my shower because I've just bought this wax. It seems that it's a very good wax but I think it's not good for professional detailer : not easy to buff off (what is correct in english : buff off or buff out...I'm french ).
How long does it last on the interior? Obviously that depends on the area it was applied it and how often it's touched, but in general? Like if I'm going to a customer on a 4-6 week basis, do I apply a new coat everytime? Will an APC remove the old layer of wax with with quick wipe?
Hey Luke. I'm a happy new car owner of black 2013 Cadillac Ats. I'm also very impressed with your work. I've learned immensely on how to detail my paint the proper way as I've been doing it SO wrong for many years so thanks. Wish I could send pic of my car so that you could give me tips on what you think about my paint and how you would approach it. Wish you were here in PA so could actually have you detail it... Paint correct it as well. Anyway... Is that possible? - AL
Plains_Loco I do have rapid remover in my arsenal, but it is not necessarily my go to for removing things like that, I also have a product called Citrol which is a citrus Based degreaser, which works just as well if not better in situations like that then rapid remover, but I certainly am a big proponent of rapid remover
Actually I get it on amazon, and if you buy the white container it will be shipped in the black bottle, ahahaha I do not know why there picture is in a white container,, I bought the white and got the black
What Do you like better as an interior finisher? and which do you use? Finishing with Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant or Meguiars express spray wax, or ONR/distilled water mix which i saw in another vid of yours? What is your deciding factor?
You say that you don't use soap and water to wash a car. What if you waxed a car and a week or so later you just want to clean it. Wouldn't the 50/50 mix take that was off? How would you just clean that car then?
If it's lightly dirty, you can use a quick detailer or waterless wash. You can also do the traditional 2 bucket wash if you desire . The 50/50 solution is to clean and prep for waxing .
Hi Luke, In another video you mentioned you use ONR with distilled water as an interior Finisher. Which do you like most and use when you do interior finishes? The Onr/distilled water option, the Meguiars express wax option, or the Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant? I'm confused on which one you use and like most ? Thanks
Ya I don't know that I have one that I like most, ONR is a very quick way to finish interiors, getting rid of clean marks, etc... express wax is also very quick because you dont really have to buff either of those products off very much after you apply them on the interior so, thats what I mean when I say quick. The natural shine protectant, I love but it takes more time because if you do not buff it off completely it will streak a lot of times, so I do not have a favorite, I kind of just go with one of them based off my customer, the situation, and what I am feeling
@@daviddemafate6429 4:1 is the highest dilution Meg's suggest but I find even at 4:1 it's pretty concentrated. Maybe going to try 8:1.... Strech the dollar!
The comment about mediocre detailers over shining everything to make their work look better than it is. So true. I can't stand it honestly. I have a good number of customers who hate it too. Even tire shine I go lightly with. Your detail should look "clean" not over armor all level 11 shiny. To me it looks tacky not classy.
I agree. Overly shiny is super tacky and is usually done by detailers who either don't care or aren't good at what they do. As you said, your car should look clean, not greasy.
Love this on a lot of smooth surfaces but I Tried this on my black door panel. Big mistake... Looked horrible. Was very un even and had a hell of a time cleaning it off. I still haven’t gotten it all off scrubbing with a brush and meguirs apc. Maybe it’s the texture of the door panel? Any ideas for a low shine dressing that dries even and won’t streak when I open the door in the rain?

Marcos Arceo I was wondering how to fix that! Thanks man!

Willson AD - Do you buy the alcohole in bulk to save money? If so, may I kindly have your source? LOl. Great vid... thanks.
Is "rapid remover" then, your go to for iron and oil contaminants, before a wax? Curious because rapid remover is not the cheapest product out there.

Ah yes this was the info I was looking for. Thanks for this video
+mujjuman of course!!
The product you was thinking of is HD speed by 3d products
yes!

I would not use both together, but really it just depends on how I am feeling, hahaha sometimes I like to mix it up!

How about matte finish paint, like wheels, fender flares, etc... will it protect while leaving finish matte?
No you don’t want to use any wax on a matte finish paint because there’s no legitement clear coat so wax has no purpose
Luke, what do you dilute the Express Spray wax to for interior finishing AND for exterior windows?
It's ready to use. No dilution required for those applications you mentioned.
Try meguiars hyper dressing diluted down it gives a nice Matte finish and is more cost effective than x wax
jag milinich definitely a great option!
Yes. I think so. I tried it 4:1 inside. Too much shining. I will try 1:10.

Just wondering, What do you use a air compressor for?
I would only use that to hook up my tornador air gun!
Always find new ways to incorporate my air compressor into my details

There's nothing wrong with extra shiny tires for the first few days right?
Brain farting some words lol, definitely been there 😂
Hahahahaha yes
