+Mario Menoscal I like it. I guess I'll have to make a video about my thoughts. It's simple and easy to use, though I'm not sure if it's as good a full wax job. It certainly is less work to use.
Darren, very informative videos all the time. Fun fact about the xpress wax: pull up the material data sheet and you'll see that up to 1% of this spray is a substance called "sweet orange peel tincture". This refers to the actual peel of a sweet orange, not the paint orange peel, and my guess is its in there as a fragrance and also as a mild solvent. It's about a 2 to 1 maceration of orange peel in alcohol, and its an ancient oil used as an antidepressant! As if this stuff wasn't versatile enough. Now we know why it makes us happy.
Darren, Kudos on your master of English language. Great video as this is the first I've heard of this specific Meguiars product. Meguiars should pay you or provide you free products. Your extremely articulate, and a virtual walking, talking thesaurus, and more quality adjectives than I can count! If you ever retire from detailing, market yourself to one of the big, "As seen on TV" companies that sell a given product or service. Kinda like the Ginsu Knife that slices, dices, peals and pears! Is it possible to use this product in a foamer or diluted into a spray device hooked to your hose, or is this strictly a spray on and wipe/buff off product? Lastly, is this a water based product or synthetic formula of some type? Once again, thanks for putting out a quality UA-cam video, and sharing your knowledge, skills & positive attitude. Continued success~ William ~
Wm. Sturman I have not tried the product diluted down. I like it just the way it is and in my world, I don't have to overthink the cost of most products. And yes, I wish Megs would start handing me out free product. As of now, I still have to pay just like everyone else. And glad you are enjoying the extensive metaphors and adjectives; not all people share your thoughts on my verbose dissemination of information.
wow ok...avoid dry rot while conditioning them, a quick detail and window cleaner in 1? I am sold. Thanks for the video. By the way the b&c pillars are behind the doors and the trim on the doors are called applique.
I searched your videos to see if you use any glaze before applying a sealant or wax. I came up with nothing. So my qestions is after you wash, clay, compound if needed, swirl remover, do you apply a glaze before you apply a sealant and wax? Also thanks for the reply on the X wax. I am ordering a gal. I want to use it in the door jam area like you had described in the video. To reduce the dirt build up and keep that area clean and spottless.
All these guys can talk less and show us more about the product but their videos would be 5 minutes long. I've used this product and can attest to what he claims but they all like to listen to themselves. Yet, I can appreciate that I don't have to test every product in a saturated market to come to the conclusion that the daily testers come to. They work hard to show us real results. Thanks #autofetishdetail
hey Darren after 5 years of this video are you still use the xpress wax since there is a lot more product on the market now if you still have it can you please let us know what purpose it serves now for you
Exquisite vehicle. A wax that can go on the entire exterior? I can die happy now. Oh, the interior, too? My heart just stopped for a moment. Thanks for introducing me to this product. 7:34 pine needle in the grill?
gantmj I'd like to see him actually use it on interior especially the dash I don't believe it would work and it would be sloppy and white residue as for the seats it would be slippery as an eel
Hi Darren - I love your explanations and product reviews. Thank you for taking the time to share them. Two questions: how long have you found the protection from the spray wax to last, especially on the exterior plastic bits after a rain? Also, do you use this instead of traditionally harder coatings like paint sealants or in addition? Thanks!
Bought this wax and it changed my life! Best stuff around for interior and exterior. This is a must have! I've been detailing cars for 40 years, and owned my own business, this is without a doubt a great product. Works just like Darren describes. Thanks Darren!
yoshi90901 As much as it would likely sound appealing to most people to actually be sponsored by a particular company, I like the idea that I have complete flexibility to recommend any product I want, and like not being "married" to any one manufacturer.
Fantastic. I used Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax. After using up six 15.2 oz bottles and burning a deep hole in my wallet, I heard about Xpress Spray Wax and I bought the gallon tub. I believe it is the same wax except for the fact that Quik Wax smells much nicer.
Hi Darren, Have you also polished the windows ? I ask because they look amazing and the glass looks super crystal-clear. If you polished them can you please mention what tools did you used or even better if you have a video on that that would be awesome
Awesome Darren I using mequires ultimate line I'm switching to professional express wax because of you video are really good.. I order a blue nano sponge I can 't believe how much better my car 01 Nissan maxima se dark grey looks just with the blue nano clay sponge... tom atl
Jesus, you can't just smear wax everywhere and be satisfied because it leaves a 'waxy shine' for the time being. Wax does not chemically do anything to condition rubber, which is why there is no wax is actual rubber conditioners. Use a product made for the job, like this: www.amazon.co.uk/Sonax-03400000-SONAX-Rubber-Care/dp/B002MZZNU8/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1459920891&sr=1-1&keywords=sonax+rubber+care Same goes for leather... there is a whole science behind it and no actual leather care contains wax because it does not condition it, you only make it "shiny" until you come back after two weeks. I would kill you if you were to smear freaking exterior paint wax on my leather :) If you don't like oily leather care, don't use oily leather care. There are many products, I just go with what the manufacturer recommends for their leather (which you should do anyway, as not all leather is the same). Most certainly not freaking wax.
I just bought a gallon of Meguiar's D115 rinse free express wash. I'm not a detailer and don't want to spend any more, do you think this D115 will work on the interior similarly to the Xpress?
Do you just use the wax, as a cleaner? Or do you clean it first? Do you just use good old-fashioned car Wash cleaner and a sponge or do you use some sort of a product for that also?
I need your experience about waxing and polishing a car I don't know what's first if it's wax are polish and then second is polish are wax are all I need is just wax with out polish are wax with out polish thank you
Guys butter wet wax from chemical guys do the same thing, i'm not with chemical guys but that wax works on everything car can be wet you can do it on sun light it can be raining snowing or whatever I don't know about this sintetic wax im going to try it as well and I 'll do a video to show witch one is better
bought this wax just because of this video. so far im very happy with the initial results especially the work its done for the outside trim on my 06 mustang gt. thanks again for your videos please continue making them i find them very informative. when a video leads you to immediately make a purchase you know the video was well made. this is the first time ive made a purchase straight from 1 video review alone. the information here was exactly what i got when my package arrived.
What is it with rich people and those stupid flossers, almost every car that comes in to be cleaned up has those either in a bag, or laying in the cupholders....
After seeing the video last week, I gave the X-WAX a try. Fantastic so I ordered a gallon. This will be my go to spray wax, between paste wax applications. Thanks much for the very informative videos.
Good video, I've been using similar products for years. I've had one you could use for interior clay, glass as well. tho Obviously w/ glass you had to go w/ a new rag. I do however enjoy your videos. I've been detailing for years, I'm now incorporating plasti dip into the mix. Thanks for posting.
Hello Darren You are my hero for sharing this great tip. Can I use this kind of x wax on a car instead of normal wax like sonax for instance. Will it protect the car's paint as well as the sonax brilliant wax 1? Also I subscribed to your channel as I saw it was a great one. Have a good day. Hope you have time to answer this.
paviaaPS3 I use this wax as what I call a maintenance wax which I use on my own cars every week. I also apply a base coat of a more durable wax every 4-6 months based on weather conditions. Depending on the color of your car I go with this: If you are more concerned with durability; I prefer a synthetic sealant like one of these at the bottom of this page: www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/nu-finish.html If you have a dark colored car and want more visual performance, then I would go with a paste wax like one of these: www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/best-car-waxes.html Apply the paste or sealant every 4-6 months, then you can use the Meguiar's Xpress wax as often as you like. For me, I use every week.
Darren, I was looking at buying the Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax, Ultimate Quick Wax, and the Black on Black (Black leather for after cleaning with the Meguiar's All purpose.) Now after watching this video I was thinking I do not need the Ultimate Quick Wax or the Black on Black and just get this. Would that be correct? Also thanks for the videos and website. So much information that is very helpful!
Christopher Owens I still use Black on Black as some black interiors need extra shine in order to create a uniformed appearance. Also, the Synthetic Xpress was is a maintenance wax product. All my cars have a base coat of either a paste wax (like Ultimate past wax) or a synthetic sealant. So the simple answer is I still carry and use all of them. Every car is a case by case judgement call.
I'd just like to know what camera you are using for this video?LolIn market for a good camera/video and know nothing about cameras but the quality on this has sold me!!!Haha!!
Wax on the glass?? I feel that wasnt fully explained. We talking windows only or windshield too?? How does it feel going on the interior thou? We treating this an interior dressing? No fabric but he put it on the seats. Got me confused still
This product will help repel water on the exterior of glass. as for the side windows, you'll notice a little less buildup of dirt, nothing too crazy. As for interior, I actually noticed it clean quite well as well as leave behind a very smooth surface. It is not oily or shiny at all. I used it on my leather seats and for me it just made them a little more slick that's about all. Overall it's a great product to add a little gloss to paint as well as moderate protection.
Ive been using this wax now for a few months and the results are good however the wax does not last. Maybe a few days to a week at most, its very hard to build this wax up compared to say collinite 915. I would not use this wax or any wax on windows, use rainx or some other water repellent. Using it on plastic and inside again is just stupid, use the correct products. The main reason why i use this wax is, its cheap, it sprays on well and very easy to apply. You can wax a car in minutes, spray, apply and wipe very easy. This wax is quick and dirty if you are in a rush only.
Fantastic information on the Synthetic Xpress wax. I had no idea you could use this product on such a variety of materials on vehicles. I will be buying my xpress in a gallon size this weekend. Memorial day sales are everywhere on detailing sites. Thanks for the information, this is awesome. Can't wait to try it on the various parts of my vehicles. Thanks again
James Guy Old post but for maximum shine polishing is the best way. Wax is for protection. In fact, if the paint is dull wax will do little to nothing.
Doesn't x-press wax give everything a sheen to it? I'm not sure that's something you really want on all your interior plastics and leather. Many people prefer a matted look for these materials.
Hi. I am starting a mobile detailing business. You may have a video on this but just have not found it. what do you do during scheduling over the phone, and what you do after? These may just be basic answers but I just wanted to know more tips about communicating to the customer. Thank you.
Ever since I got X-Press Spray Wax and I stopped using Meguiars Quik Wax, This makes my car look shiny after I do a maintanence wash on my car which is my first car used with 57k miles and people ask secrets but really just giving love care, love this stuff and the rover!
Did you ever used Sonax HighSpeedWax or Sonax Super Liquid Wax (A.K.A. AutoHartWax). I have these products, what if i'll use these instead of meguiar's. Will it causes any harm or something. I used HighSpeedWax on plastic, the result was similar with meguiar's. Should i use it on interior plastics or leather?
ShelBeth Entertainment Not at my shop would do such a thing. We use dedicated products for interior, like leather seats. May be fast but doesn't sound right.
Didn't work for my black Subaru WRX, left a nasty amount of film, and greasy look... even after Buffing. But, as long as it protects the paint I guess I can let that go. Plus other uses for it I guess.
got myself some of this, brilliant product. i can now wash the car then wipe down the paint, glass and trim with great results and only one product, as you say Darren its about cutting to the chase and keeping it simple.
Yes, I'm sure X Wax is a very good product, now less talk & a bit more seeing you apply the product, too much talk, not enough action for me, it got boring.
Great video! I bought this product after watching this video but I do have a question for you. My wife's new car is black when I use this product I can see oily type marks in different parts of the paint I wipe and wipe and it is still there help please Darren think you buddy. Paul
Paul Rhodes I know what you are talking about, but do not struggle with that too much. What I can tell you is that believe it or not, not all paint is created equal and when it comes to black paint, there is black paint out there that for some reason, just requires more work to get truly uniformed results. This wax is the most full proof I have ever used, but you still have to finesse it at times. Try experimenting with how much you are using. I have found as a rule, most people tend to use too much, rather then too little. I wish you luck; let me know....
one thing is an absolute "for sure!" us to use a high quality micro fiber towel and don't over wet it! my car is ultra dark quartz (blue/gray, sometimes mistaken for black) and it NEVER comes out smeary! Keep in mind I swipe it lightly with a CA duster first and follow w the spray but I do it EVERY day. (sometimes more!)
Hey thanks Auto Fetish! im a motorcycle detailer in perth western australia but i also have interest in car protection.and will be expanding my business soon your videos are a great guide and i just wanted to say thankyou for keeping it real! if you wanna see some of my stuff detailing wise my business is called "Addicted 2 Detail" im on facebook. Ill be watching the series no doubt....
Hi, I have a question about the wax. I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk on the hood it has a vinyl mat black sticker "Glare Sticker". Would that cause any damage like whitening of the vinyl? Also if I'm not detailing it as often as I should will it start to cause black trim to turn white?
hey Darren this is JP from San Diego... I've watched almost all your detail videos for cars.. my question is I can't find Meguiars wheel brightener for my dodge charger at any store.. does wheel brightener damage alloy machine finish rims? I have water spots on my Windows and on my body paint.. I'm a bigg fan of your videos..
I've moved on to blackfire synthetic spray wax - night and day difference - makes black cars absolutely beautiful - shine/depth/gloss/protection all 2 steps above megs
I use it on leather as well but recently purchased a Porsche with Alcantara/leathers seats so I still do the leather by spraying it on a rag and avoiding the Alcantara. My question for you though I have Lizard green stitching in the black leather will this product darken/change the green stitching over time? Presently I avoid going directly over the stitching when using the damp Xpress towel.
Would you use this on the controls such as steering wheel (rim) or pedals? Would D156 leave anything behind to allow "slip" when turning the steering wheel or pushing the pedal?
i like the way you explaining all detail.. very easy listen..
this guy could talk a glass eye to sleep !!
OK I'm convinced. Ordering a gallon today. If it doesn't work I'm coming for you...
+ElPasoTom
So...does it work?
+ElPasoTom Please respond, ppl are aready askin.
+ElPasoTom so, did it work?

This is why I love Meguiar's products...
Ok so is it ok for me to leave my express synthetic wax inside my trunk on a hot simmered day? Will it go bad and not perform as it should?
I searched your videos to see if you use any glaze before applying a sealant or wax. I came up with nothing. So my qestions is after you wash, clay, compound if needed, swirl remover, do you apply a glaze before you apply a sealant and wax? Also thanks for the reply on the X wax. I am ordering a gal. How would you compare it to the Turtle Wax Ice Seal & Shine? I’m on the fence about which one I should use on my boat. Thanks!!
hey Darren after 5 years of this video are you still use the xpress wax since there is a lot more product on the market now
if you still have it can you please let us know what purpose it serves now for you
That Range looks brand new
You a great detailed car and it's already done . With a bottle of spray that we are supposed to believe did it
all these cars garaged everyday. how about cars that are outside all day everyday. you should try a series of videos about these type of cars
Exquisite vehicle. A wax that can go on the entire exterior? I can die happy now. Oh, the interior, too? My heart just stopped for a moment. Thanks for introducing me to this product. 7:34 pine needle in the grill?
Yes and it works great - so glad Darren posts his videos to inform us consumers about great products - Thank you Darren!
gantmj I'd like to see him actually use it on interior especially the dash I don't believe it would work and it would be sloppy and white residue as for the seats it would be slippery as an eel
is this guy a dentist? plackers in the side pocket?
DkNy2kX he has a Range Rover so yes
Does this product still exist in 2017 i looked on Meguirar site and i can't find it???
Nick Crate same
Dude! Stumbled upon your vids & you’ve made me a BELIEVER in Meguiar’s spray wax on EVERYTHING!!!
Very VERY well presented and articulated!!!
make a video on what to do if you damage a car detailing it
Are you cleaning cars with gasoline?
Talks too much . Too much selling himself!!
Hi Darren - I love your explanations and product reviews. Thank you for taking the time to share them. Another awesome video Darren!
You sounded like you were sponsored by meguiars, lol.
I also loved the mention of anal customers, couldn't agree more.
yoshi90901 As much as it would likely sound appealing to most people to actually be sponsored by a particular company, I like the idea that I have complete flexibility to recommend any product I want, and like not being "married" to any one manufacturer.

tooooooo much talking get on with your videos...... God sake
They all talk more than it seems they do. But, they're in the business plus have a UA-cam channel, give them props my friend; :)
I'm a big Meguairs fan but switched to Eagle 1 Nano Spray, much better and longer lasting.
Best of all it's an otc grab.
Hi Darren,
Have you also polished the windows ? I ask because they look amazing and the glass looks super crystal-clear. If you polished them can you please mention what tools did you used or even better if you have a video on that that would be awesome
So are you saying that you didn't use any other wax except Xpress wax on this vehicle..?? No paste wax or anything under the X wax..?
he said he uses it for "maintenance" so maybe paste wax every so often?

Same goes for leather... there is a whole science behind it and no actual leather care contains wax because it does not condition it, you only make it "shiny" until you come back after two weeks. don't you have to remove the traffic film out of the rubber sels b4 you Seal them?
I just bought a gallon of Meguiar's D115 rinse free express wash. I'm not a detailer and don't want to spend any more, do you think this D115 will work on the interior similarly to the Xpress?
Darren you're Amazing. Sadly, not all products you're use isn't available in My Country. Sorry for bad English
Placed my order on AutoGeek and I cannot wait to wax my car!
Angela Davis hi
Please do anyone Knows if i can substitute the megs x-wax with the sonax BSD (brillaint shine detailer)...for all thease uses???
Great tips. Wow your site is on the SBI platform. Dr. Ken would be so proud of you.
Do you just use the wax, as a cleaner? Or do you clean it first? Do you just use good old-fashioned car Wash cleaner and a sponge or do you use some sort of a product for that also?

Hello Darren
You are my hero for sharing this great tip. Can I use this kind of x wax on a car instead of normal wax like sonax for instance. Will it protect the car's paint as well as the sonax brilliant wax 1?

Hope you have time to answer this.
paviaaPS3 I use this wax as what I call a maintenance wax which I use on my own cars every week. I also apply a base coat of a more durable wax every 4-6 months based on weather conditions. Depending on the color of your car I go with this:
If you are more concerned with durability; I prefer a synthetic sealant like one of these at the bottom of this page:
www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/nu-finish.html
If you have a dark colored car and want more visual performance, then I would go with a paste wax like one of these:
www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/best-car-waxes.html
Apply the paste or sealant every 4-6 months, then you can use the Meguiar's Xpress wax as often as you like. For me, I use every week.
So I don't need any glass cleaner it seems. I can clean everything with it
how do u get to the top of taller vehicles without leaning up on it and scratching it?
I just ordered the wax thank you. I will let you know how I like it
Darren, I was looking at buying the Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax, Ultimate Quick Wax, and the Black on Black (Black leather for after cleaning with the Meguiar's All purpose.) I'd just like to know what camera you are using for this video?LolIn market for a good camera/video and know nothing about cameras but the quality on this has sold me!!!Haha!!
Depends what your price range is really. You can get this quality with an iPhone easily
Wax on the glass??

all synthetics cause ugly water spotting when car gets wet at all

does this wax provide uv protection?
Too much talking about nothing,, zero doing
The car speaks for it's self... Don't you know how to wax? Wax on wax off
You need to be taught how to wax on wax off?
Erwin Hanefeld I agree, all talking to action
Agree here, anyone can go to a shiny car with gloves and wax on hand, but an actual demo would have helped.
I use it, it works. Not that hard to understand
you meant all this plastic trim. its not metal -_-
Fell asleep before he showed anything. Thank you. I had insomnia before.
I thought wax was for protection g and polish is for shine plz help me out . Unless your scare to reach out
James Guy
Old post but for maximum shine polishing is the best way.
Wax is for protection.
In fact, if the paint is dull wax will do little to nothing.
how about candle wax? I mean all the same!
Does it have UV protection?
Doesn't x-press wax give everything a sheen to it? I'm not sure that's something you really want on all your interior plastics and leather. Many people prefer a matted look for these materials.
mkygod It creates the most subtle of sheen's. hardly noticeable.
+mkygod More of a Clean Sheen haha
+Kurt Karasch just as long as its not a charlie sheen eww
Ok so were can I get this Xpress wax, I would love to try this on my 2014 Fiat GQ Abrath. BTH love all of your vids
I bought mine on Amazon -

Hi. I am starting a mobile detailing business. You may have a video on this but just have not found it. what do you do during scheduling over the phone, and what you do after? These may just be basic answers but I just wanted to know more tips about communicating to the customer. Thank you.
Do you dilute this product at all?
did not like it streaks and leaves residue
Ever since I got X-Press Spray Wax and I stopped using Meguiars Quik Wax, This makes my car look shiny after I do a maintanence wash on my car which is my first car used with 57k miles and people ask secrets but really just giving love care, love this stuff and the rover!
Wax the damn car already....sheesh
You talk too much!
I got my first nice car recently and just ordered a gallon of this stuff... now I feel like detailing my friends cars too!
Should i use it on interior plastics or leather?
does this customer know you're putting wax inside their vehicle?
ShelBeth Entertainment
Not at my shop would do such a thing.
We use dedicated products for interior, like leather seats.
May be fast but doesn't sound right.
Y r ur vids so long
Waiting for reply still...
Darren, try Maquiars Paint Protect. Easier to apply than the spray, no buffing. Downside, regular customers wont need to be rewaxed as often.
Didn't work for my black Subaru WRX, left a nasty amount of film, and greasy look... even after Buffing. But, as long as it protects the paint I guess I can let that go. Plus other uses for it I guess.
got myself some of this, brilliant product. i can now wash the car then wipe down the paint, glass and trim with great results and only one product, as you say Darren its about cutting to the chase and keeping it simple.
is this the same as ultimate quik wax
Let me save you some time.... 6:50. "This car gets DETAILED every two weeks" So don't expect it to look like this just by buying the product.
Yes, I'm sure X Wax is a very good product, now less talk & a bit more seeing you apply the product, too much talk, not enough action for me, it got boring.
does this streak on black cars
HI Darren, how much did u charge for cleaning just washing a car? how much did u charge for detail interior?
I use it on leather as well but recently purchased a Porsche with Alcantara/leathers seats so I still do the leather by spraying it on a rag and avoiding the Alcantara. My question for you though I have Lizard green stitching in the black leather will this product darken/change the green stitching over time? Presently I avoid going directly over the stitching when using the damp Xpress towel.
Would you use this on the controls such as steering wheel (rim) or pedals? Would D156 leave anything behind to allow "slip" when turning the steering wheel or pushing the pedal?
