I had a customer this past week that wanted her rims and tires cleaned. I know, why only the wheels and tires?? I have no idea. Anyway, I cleaned the rims, the tires, and applied the tire dressing and wheel wax. I thought the car looked incomplete so I did a rinseless wash, dried the car using the Meguiar's Express Wax, and cleaned the outside windows. I took the wheel sealant off, and the customer arrived to pick up her car. She noticed right away that I did more than she wanted and was worried about the extra service. I told her that it was on me because I thought the car looked weird with clean wheels and dirty car. She agreed, and in the end, she paid for the wheel cleaning and gave me a big tip for making her car look good. She did enjoy the clean windshield and nice looking car. Her friend that dropped off the customer wants her car done later this coming week.
Frank that is amazing man!!!! That's what you get for over delivering right! More customers!!! Thats so awesome man, and that is a great example of detailing the RIGHT WAY!!! Over delivering at every level! I love it! Such a great example for anyone wanting to get into the detailing business!
@Amsterdamnster Kush when I look at the services provided and what she paid me it came out to what I would have charged anyway. So, in the end, I was paid for all of the things I did and more. The next customer wanted a full detail and paid way more. So, I am not sure how I was the fool? I did a little more and in the end, earned a new customer and got paid more. I think that it is a win?
This product is still the most universal product from any manufacturer to date that I have found. I have been using it for many years and if there was only one product I was able to keep out of my arsenal this would be the one. I keep a bottle of this in my vehicle at all times. It can be applied to almost any part of your vehicle except cloth and tires. I also use it on my interior because I am not a fan of shiny dashes and doors on most interiors. It's spray protection for paint, door seals, plastics, windows, rims, engine bays, makes wiper blades last longer, Great stuff and worth its weight in gold!
Totally agree Shane! It’s rare to find a product that is this versatile, at this price! Though more and more products come out every year from big companies, in many ways, you just can’t beat meguiars x wax!
Thank you! I was using Ultimate Quik Wax and discovered that X-Press Spray Wax is the same product. After watching this video I started drying with the X-Press Spray Wax. WOW! Now I always dry using this method and my black SUV looks amazing and is so easy to keep clean. Thanks Luke. You rock!
I bought a gallon of this stuff and was trying it out today. Accidentally found out it's the best glass cleaner I've ever used, and it's not even a glass cleaner lol. Will be buying more, just for that use alone! the painted areas I tried out on a couple vehicles look great too.
Been using Turtle Wax "Wax and Dry" for this purpose, and thought I'd give the Meguiars a try, since their other products work so well. Surprisingly, the Turtle Wax seems to work better! Leaves a slicker finish very quickly. I'll continue to use the Meguiars, since I have an entire gallon, but I am a little disappointed in it.
Interesting! Im actually not a fan of turtle wax products, but if it works for you in your world then go for it! The meguiars is an essential for me because of the results it gives, its ease of use, and just the plain and simple versatility of the product, it can be used on SO many different areas of the car, it is a win in my world
@@wilsonautodetailing The TW Spray & Wax is applied in the same manner since it is activated by water. It is inexpensive and available everywhere. You should give it a try, I think you'll be very pleased. I don't think it is available in 1 gallon containers though.
Another detail guy said it works great on plastic, vinyl, and leather. It does it all. He does the exterior and interior. I'm going to give this stuff a whirl. The only downside is you have to buy a gallon, but if it works on the interior (except carpet of course), it replaces other products and saves a lot of time.
Thanks for the great video. I always appreciate those that help make good decisions on products. He showed where he did the windows and rubber trim too.
Never dry a car without using something to provide lubricity unless you are going to air dry it. I use a synthetic polymer spray wax on wet panels every time. This is why no scratches are introduced into the paint in the drying process. I’ll have to give this product a try might be more economical in a gallon.
Wilson Auto Detailing Just received my gallon bottle from Amazon... Thank so much for this and your other videos... I'm going to watch all your videos concerning this product and your other videos about different products and detailing procedures... Thanks for getting back with me... Thanks for producing very clear, detailed, informative and easy to follow, understand & perform videos...
Love the product and your channel. In your professional opinion, does waxing during drying leave do as good a job as waxing after it's dry? Have you noticed a difference?
How does the meguiars last touch and the x-press wax work. Can i use the last touch after i wash a car and after spray the x-wax. Or what goes first im kind of confused. Great video bud.
Hi Wilson! Just curios... At 5:29' you said so easy to take off the wax....why someone would like to take off the wax? Thanks for your videos..are great and useful!
Ok cool. I figured as much just couldn't quite tell with the video being sped up. Discovered your channel within the last few weeks or so and I've really enjoyed the videos.
👍, in your opinion do meguiar's ultimate quik wax and meguiar's detailer D115 express wash & wax can serve as a drying aid? If the water leaks from the panel after spraying (as meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax would do), is this a good indication that the product is a good drying aid?
Hey Luke, do you have any recommendations on wax to make my white color car pop or to revive the shine on it? It’s a bit dull being it’s about 5 years old. Thanks.
What would you recommend to use if you washed and waxed a car and it rained the next day and has a light dusting on it? Any meguiars 1 gal delutable products to just spray on and wipe off?
+rsxstype505 in all reality you could really use meguiars spray wax again, but that freaks some people out, I would just use optimum no rinse in a spray bottle, 1 cap full of ONR, and fill the rest with distilled water! Let me know if you have any other questions!
So I this is probably a dumb question but would you also you this wax even if the customer doesn't want there vehicle clay bar? And do you use this on every vehicle that you are asked to wax or do you use another product? Also does it matter what color the vehicle is?
you showed spraying the wax as you dried the car but did you have wax already on your car from the last detail you did? and how does that effect wax on wax,if that makes sense.
Hi Luke just started watching your videos. Awesome job my friend. Have you ever done a head to head to head comparison between Produxa, Shine Armor, and F11? These products are all on FB. Also, I have a 2018 Nissan Altima. Even though the tires are brand new, do I really have to degrease my tires before applying dressing? Thanks
Thanks, bought a gallon of it and the Optimum(experimenting with your method), great products! You recommend the Wheel Brightener primarily then for cleaning all wheel types?
I love this stuff I use it on my silver cars and get an amazing shine but my brother recently got a new dark red truck and this stuff is leaving a blotchy smeared residue that I can't get rid of with just buffing with a microfiber. have you came across this before ? Any advice? Am I applying too much or something ?
Really really awesome question.... it does not restore anything, definitely just a protectant, but I will put a link below to a product that is the ABSOLUTE BEST black trim restoration product on the market... its incredible, and a little goes a really long way, check it out and let me know what you think: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006NZRAFE/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B006NZRAFE&linkCode=as2&tag=wilson0f3-20&linkId=4b43362b427a20c97601e42dc2ace567
I use Optimum no rinse (ONR) car wash and sometimes put a few squirts of x-press wax in the car wash bucket, usually a quart of water is all I use. Usually go over the vehicle 2x because of the road film turns the water black. X-Press wax is my go-to product because the other wax fades just as fast and its a lot of work to apply. A gallon of this wax lasts forever
It depends on how severe the water spot is, if you are getting water spots I would recommend deionized water washing or a rindless wash like optimum no rinse
Will you review Optimum car wax? Compared to Meguiar's synthetic express wax. Also...since you now use ONR wash and wax will you still follow up with any of these liquid waxes afterwards?
Actually yes that is one characteristic of synthetic waxes, but really the most glaring difference is carnauba is manufactured with natural carnauba, and synthetic waxes are made with only man made, "polymer technology"
Oh, looks like I should have some of this for my car as on the really hot days I wouldn't want wax melting off, so if this can resist temps even better thats great. Nice Vid.
hey William, this spray waxes are generally known for a shorter life span, but this spray wax in particular continues to surprise me... I will wax even my own car with meguiars synthetic express spray wax, and lets say i decide to wash my car a month and a half later, the x-wax will still be on my car, and it is very obvious, so though I do not have an exact answer, I can confidently say that it lasts a surprisingly long time, but part of that is due to the fact that it is synthetic, and therefore is going to last longer than other things that are manufactured with something more naturally based, hope that helps!

I agree. People refuse to believe me when I tell them how great it is on glass. The recleans are even easier!
Yup and it beads water off the windshield while driving

Awesome stuff for detailers but a base sealant or wax like sonax or 845 and then maintain with any spray wax is the way to go
Another detail guy said it works great on plastic, vinyl, and leather. It does it all. He does the exterior and interior. I'm going to give this stuff a whirl. Man could really do without that music in the beginning, or reduce it so we can hear you talk.
definitely noted!!! I will have to make sure that it is lower!
The music is worse then Discovery's How It's Made, which is pretty bad.
i really like it
What an awesome video thanks for the advice

I like the strategy! Definitely give this a try and see how you like it!
How often should i apply this to my car? And how long does it last

YES! and interior windows

thank you for this Luke this was really helpful to me as a car enthusiast and I was just thinking to buy this product. This video made me purchase it
What about Bead Maker? You can do windows all at the same time!
When I use this product, it can sometimes leave a film. Is there a particular reason for this?
This stuff helps dry the car as you use it. Leaves a GREAT shine!
Totally man!!!
Which way you use this product to dry ypur car ?
I love early young Luke videos
Love the product and your channel. In your professional opinion, does waxing during drying leave do as good a job as waxing after it's dry? Have you noticed a difference?
I feel it better to use it after the car is somewhat dry
After using a spray wax, can you use regular wax after the car is dry?
Guys with black cars and no garage who can't use most waxes due to streaking and heating up. This wax let's you wax when it's hot out
You still using the same spray wax in 2022
Wait so how do you take it off ? If it dries on the car ???
Love your enthusiasm (:
Thanks man! I appreciate that encouragement!
@@wilsonautodetailing between Seal N Shine, which is more durable?
how do you keep the cars clean with all that gravel?!?1
What’s better? This or bead maker.
Can you use this on tires and rims?
So is this kind of the same end result as using Optimum no rinse wash and wax, with the 8 sided one bucket method you have in another video?
Can you use this as waterless wash? On a car thats just alittle dirty.
does this product attract dust like bead maker?
Question . Is it safe too clean car tint windows?
Should you dilute this??
How does the meguiars last touch and the x-press wax work. Can i use the last touch after i wash a car and after spray the x-wax. Or what goes first im kind of confused. Great video bud.
I do not think there is really a point of using both! I would gowith the X WAX
Hi mate. Can it be used on sealed paint as a top up?
Is it durable like Seal N Shine?
Hi Wilson!
Just curios... At 5:29' you said so easy to take off the wax....why someone would like to take off the wax?
Thanks for your videos..are great and useful!
What I mean is it is easy to buff off as you are applying it
When you use it as a drying aid do you have to buff it off as well same as you would normally using the X Wax?
Yes definitely need to do that!
Ok cool. I figured as much just couldn't quite tell with the video being sped up. Discovered your channel within the last few weeks or so and I've really enjoyed the videos.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that a ton! Let me know if I can help with anything!

Hey Luke, do you have any recommendations on wax to make my white color car pop or to revive the shine on it? It’s a bit dull being it’s about 5 years old. Thanks.
Hey luke one question? I use a turtle wax carwash to clean my car can i use this spray wax or no?

Exterior Car washed and waxed (Meguiars Express Spray) $70, is this a fair price to charge
I think so!
How do u dillute this spray wax ?
How long does the wax last.
@ 3.20 do you mean Hydroscopic (as in it takes on moisture ) or hydrophobic as in its has a Phobia of water ? Great vid either way buddy
How long does this last???
Great tip! How do you get the spray wax out of your microfiber drying towels?
Washing them! I would use organic detergent with no additives whatsoever, no fragrance or color, etc.... very basic
how long does this last? with regular driving. Not large commutes or anything crazy.
Amsterdamnster Kush thanks!
Just want to ask your opinion would you say the express wax is better than the ultimate fast finish?
I prefer the synthetic spray wax
Will that stuff work if the car isn't wet? Or does it need a lubricant like water to work correctly?
No it is supposed to be used with a dry car, it is a wax, but this is an off label use I would say, sorry should have clarified!
Hi Luke! Can I dilute the xpress spray wax? Or does it work better without dilution ? Thx 😁
I'myourfriend it’s ready to use.
No dilution! Its water resistant so it wont mix anyways
Thank you so much Luke 😊
So I this is probably a dumb question but would you also you this wax even if the customer doesn't want there vehicle clay bar? And do you use this on every vehicle that you are asked to wax or do you use another product? Also does it matter what color the vehicle is?
Yes this wax is great for any vehicle regardless if you are claying it or not
And no the color doesn’t matter
Going have to try it
Love your vids, keep uploading them. Like!
Thanks Antonio!!!
you showed spraying the wax as you dried the car but did you have wax already on your car from the last detail you did? and how does that effect wax on wax,if that makes sense.
I waxed this car once a month so yes I had a little on it I’m sure but it really makes very little to no difference that I’ve ever experienced
Hey Luke, think you could use this to clay the car while it's still wet..?
Did you not watch the video?
Hi your videos r great! What’s the difference between the express spray wax and Meguiars Quick wax if any? Thanks
Good question! Lots of detailers say there isn’t a difference haha! I would lean that way
Awesome video - thank you! Is it OK to use on plastic tail and head lights? Also, can I use it on the plastic glossy B pillars of an F150?!
Yep you can use it on all of that and just about anything!
Is quick wax?

I haven’t but maybe that will be an upcoming video! Thanks for the input!
Luke, is it safe (or effective) to use McGuire's Xpress spray wax to clean wheels?
Not to clean them but to dress them after they’ve been cleaned definitely!
Thanks, bought a gallon of it and the Optimum(experimenting with your method), great products! You recommend the Wheel Brightener primarily then for cleaning all wheel types?
Any idea how many oz you use on a sedan car with this wax? To make an idea from 1 gallon how many cars i can make
Honestly Ive never mapped it out to a super specific degree... but more than enough!!! Its worth it hands down

Could be using too much product, also could be caused from using in direct sunlight maybe
Can you tell me if using this wax on "black faded plastic trim" restore that trim back to a nice black?
Or is simply a protectent? Thanks
Really really awesome question.... it does not restore anything, definitely just a protectant, but I will put a link below to a product that is the ABSOLUTE BEST black trim restoration product on the market... its incredible, and a little goes a really long way, check it out and let me know what you think:

Dilution?
Not at all
What is the best water based dressing or protectant in your opinion, Meguiar's Hyper Dressing, Chemical Guys VRP, or 303 Aerospace Protectant?
VRP!!!
VRP for sure...
Do I need to clay the car before this type of wax
If it’s in need of clay bar then consider before waxing and sealing

Can spray to glass?
Yes Absolutely!!! Its great for windows and your windshield!
In malaysia got dealer?
There's a reason why this video has 15K views and it aint the meguiars LOL. Love you Luke.
hahahahaha! Love you to doug
Can you use this on tires as well?!
Nope. Stick with tire dressing
If I have dried soap after the wash, this can remove those spots?
It depends on how severe the water spot is, if you are getting water spots I would recommend deionized water washing or a rindless wash like optimum no rinse
Will you review Optimum car wax? Compared to Meguiar's synthetic express wax. Also...since you now use ONR wash and wax will you still follow up with any of these liquid waxes afterwards?
Yes I will review those for sure! And yes I still follow up with a wax!!!
What makes this was "synthetic"? Does that mean that it is able to withstand High Temperatures that unfortunately "carnuba" cant?
Actually yes that is one characteristic of synthetic waxes, but really the most glaring difference is carnauba is manufactured with natural carnauba, and synthetic waxes are made with only man made, "polymer technology"
Oh, looks like I should have some of this for my car as on the really hot days I wouldn't want wax melting off, so if this can resist temps even better thats great.
Nice Vid.
Gotoallofthem1 thanks man!
Can you use this for after market wheels? will it work similar to wheel wax?
Yes absolutely
What kind of durability are you getting with this? Thx great tips!
hey William, this spray waxes are generally known for a shorter life span, but this spray wax in particular continues to surprise me... So like does this fix that rough blurry headlight thing?
Not at all, check out my headlight restoration videos
Is this compatible with a ceramic coat?
Definitely
Is that the same as meguiars shine and dry quick wax
it is not
Wilson Auto Detailing ok thanks
Thanks fir the great video!!!
+mujjuman thank you for being involved!
Look forward to updates
YES
Is it safe to use on tinted windows?
Yep!
not sure about that I used it 2 years ago and cleaned tint today and there was this white flakey stuff on there that wouldn't come off without a razor
How long does the wax look usually last?
With the spray wax I think it is a good idea to apply every two weeks, but that will vary based on where you live and your circumstances
Do you ask all your customers can you film their car, license plate, house, property?
hhahahaha yes I do
7+ years as a pro, what did you start professionally detailing at 10-11, lol? Nice video btw j/k.
Hahaha 13! Not what I do today obviously, but started nonetheless
Can you do a review of the 3D eraser water spot remover...?
I'm actually not familiar! Put a link here and let me look it up!
Vs Formula 4????
stack this on chemical guys hoseless rinseless wash?no with my spray buttery wax wth carnuba eh.
Man this guy lives a castle , i bet no one noticed that
He is a mobile detailer...
Damn take a breath dude....
Breath taken
Bravo!!
Thanks Jay!!!
Where did you get that drying towel?!🚗💦
I cannot remember, but I would go for a waffle weave towel!
Wilson Auto Detailing are you using the waffle weave for the spray wax drying process then?
It's like a wax as u dry from eagle 1 product
Yep
I like your videos. Please never use that song again lol
I use this spray, i think it can be diluted with distilled water too, really does look great.
How can i email directly?
Speed freak?
Easy on and Easy off? ... probably not that long lasting?
Spray waxes as a rule last for less time then things like paste waxes or sealants
Spray waxes don't require bluffing, they're mainly a refresher for the wax you already have on the car.
Please
