I have stage 3 CKD and ate red meat each day for about 5 days and now have gout for the first time in my life. I did not believe it could ever happen just like that. Just something else to worry about now!
This is such a great channel. Thank you for taking your time to help us. Can you please make a video on supplements proven by research to help with CKD, i’ve seen other youtube channels talk about Quercetin, NAC, P-5-P, acacia fiber, etc. it will be nice to know your take on this. Thank you
Fructose is a major metabolic hazard according to Prof. Robert Lustig, USF Med school. See his presentation on January 12 for in-depth explanation.
Thanks for your wonderful explanations from a fan Downunder. I have Stage 3B CKD and thanks to you I’m now an involuntary but happy vegetarian. 😂
Fructose from HFCS or whole fruits?
A video on oxalates would be great
Thank you both SO much for your great videos.
Thanks for the video
Sir,
I love your videos. You both are doing nice. Actually your channel is providing lots of knowledge about CKD. Thank you so much.
Sir
I intend to share my problem with you.
I am 47 years old male.
I have been suffering from a high Uric Acid problem for the last eleven years.
Due to high Uric Acid sometimes the CREATININE goes higher than its normal range.
I consulted a Doctor many times and he prescribed FEBUXOSTAT 40mg.
But when i am stopping the said medicine Uric Acid is raising high.
Please Please Please give me advice and suggestions and help me to get rid of this. problem.I shall be highly grateful to you.
are high purine foods bad for the kidneys
Yes!
Do you think Shitake Mushrooms will make purine go higher? Please explain to us Doc. Thanks
I’ve been diagnosed with gout and also Sudo gout what should I avoid for Sudo gout I never hear anybody talking about that your response would be appreciated
General diet recommendations for pseudogout are similar to gout. Checking blood levels of minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium) would be helpful too since mineral imbalances can cause flare ups. Then you can tailor your diet according to your bloodwork!
Thanks doc - Was very inspired by your lecture in your Dr.Hashimi channel. Question: 95 egfr age 27 male. I get no proteinuria thanks to losaratan, but get it only right after a workout session(300 or so). Is it worth working out? THanks

Watch dr gregger gout problems eatung vegs with high protein is ok
Why to do you specifically call out high fat dairy? From what I understand dairy in itself is helpful for lowering UA. Is the concern about heart health ?
Hello! The research looking at dairy and gout looks at low fat dairy, not high fait dairy.
@@PlantBasedKidneyHealth thanks for the reply. So it could be to said we don’t know the impact of full fat dairy on uric acid level.
"The risk of hyperuricemia and gout is positively correlated with the intake of red meat, seafoods, alcohol or fructose, and negatively with dairy products or soy foods. High-purine vegetables showed no association with hyperuricemia, but negative association with gout. Coffee intake is negatively associated with gout risk, whereas it may be associated with increased hyperuricemia risk in women but decreased risk in men." PubMed
