Btw I got GERD because of the pal only (Lactose Intolerance)
Hi Dr.Pal 🙏
You have been talking only about weight loss from the time you have created the channel.
I'm 20 years old weighing only 35 Kgs with 5.5ft height. Please make a dedicated video on how to gain weight for people who are extremely thin and skinny.🤦🏻♂️
I changed to Keto diet with time restricted feeding and my gastritis vanished.

Recently saw your podcast on BeerBIceps. Keep doing more of those long videos whennever possible. They are veryy much appreciated.
🙏 will do!
hello sir i am ur new subscriber. sir can u pls make a video about genetics and inbreeding issues in tamil like u discussed in The ranveer show.
Same here. I saw him on beer biceps for the first time. And now i am glued to his videos
Sir I have done on gallbladder surgery butmore acid secreted what can I do sir
I am a Neet student in India. Due to study pressure I have not focused on my diet and excercise. So many a day I ended up eating something bad causing me darrhea , constipation, catching cold easily and etc which was hampering my study. Now by watching your videos and the recent podcast, I have changed my diet , time schedule, excercise and now I am mindfully and physically feeling very fit. Its just the starting only. My concentration level on studies have also increased and my craving for bad foods are gone very much and also I dont feel well when I skip one day of excercise. Thank you very much.
During my prep, I was on a diet- eat foods that improve concentration. So only home cooked food mostly, and some dark chocolate, fruits for snacks and lots of water- it kept me healthy all along. I had chuda kadali breakfast daily( bland but I wasn't wiling to think abt it)
i canot fast for even 5mins😢
it will burn
@Dr. Pal technically I do not feel heart burn. But I get chronic cough and learned it’s a form of GERD after diagnosis. Now I feel much better after avoiding citrus fruit and no food after 6pm, still can’t get rid of caffeine. Lot better now.
Additional to the above tips by the Dr. Pal, few things which helped me to reduce my reflux
1. Reducing caffine
2. Maintaining the right body posture. Wrong posture like bend shoulders or chest etc can also increase the abdominal pressure.
I had this heartburn / gas condition for more than 2 years. I misstook it as a heart attack, then visited various hospitals, did ecg, eco stuff atlast found out , its normal gas problem, but that condition never got any better even after taking antacids. I started watching your videos a year ago, and I started eating curd daily as you suggested, and now everything is smooth. You're a savior.
Thank you so much. So glad you are better now.
That’s awesome.
Thanks to you, sir

Omg dude, I have this same exact thing now! I have been having heartburn a lot this year. I am 23. I had a couple of episodes with chest discomfort and pain with heart palpitations and had to go to the ER. They took ECG, bloodtest and even stress test but everything came back normal. I am also physically pretty fit. I am going for an endoscopy soon. Good to know I am not the only one suffering from this.
I thank you from bottom of my heart. I have been watching all your videos but this is the one actually made for my condition. Immensely grateful as none of my doctors have ever explained so well.
I hope to have a better life now after suffering for 20 years.
Thank you Dr. Pal for such an entertaining and enlightening video. This is the video I needed as I have been working on my acidity. A big thank you! You are really doing a good work!
I definitely need more videos on this doc thanks a ton! You are a saviour.
Hello Dr.Pal, I love your content. Big fan here. I was recently diagnosed with rectal ulcer but I don't have much knowledge about it. My doctor told it was because of the constipation I had for some months. It would be nice if you can explain about this in your yt shorts and will be beneficial for others too. Thanks in advance 🙂
Hey Dr Pal! I've become a big big fan of yours. Everything that you impart makes so much sense and you explain things in such simple manner that everyone can understand. I have started some of your techniques like following the circadian rythm for my meals and within weeks I can feel so much improvement in my health. I had a big problem of heart burn, acidity and also headaches. Now they have just vanished. I want to incorporate every single thing you suggest with time. Thank you so much. Vannakkam from Bangalore.🙏
You set an inspiration to people around you. Most favourite doctor in the recent times. Way to go.🥰
Much thanks doctor,for explaining this.
Hi Dr😊. Thanks a lot for educating us in a light and easy way.
I have this acidity issue triggering more during winter alone after covid.
I have brought lifestyle changes recently, a month ago. I excercise everyday. I recently reduced carbs, including nuts n fibres in diet.. mindful enough. No coffee/ tea in empty stomach.
Am not fat but above BMI. Still developed this.
I hope this helps me in overcoming it.
Dr saar, I too had been facing this problem on and off for 6-7 years now. Infact the first time I had severe heartburn, I fell into the trap pf health anxiety constantly thinking that I've some sort of heart condition due to which I'm having heartburn. So thankful for this doc saar. :)
Thank you. Beautiful explanation.
Thank you for the informative videos on UA-cam focusing on gut health. They have been immensely helpful in addressing many of my queries that I couldn't ask my doctor in person. Your detailed explanations and responses to comments have clarified a lot for me. I appreciate the time you take to provide this valuable information. I hope more individuals, like myself, will benefit from your channel. 🙏
This was what i was waiting for a long time from you doctor. Please please talk more about gi and digestive disorders hereafter with special emphasis on different organs like intestines liver etc. Lack of nutrients absorption and gastric bloating may also be talked about.

Dear Dr. Pal, I recently got GERD and I have been crazily searching the internet on what, why of the disease. There are lots of videos and information. But the way you presented everything in few minutes is just fantastic and amazing. And the way you included humour, I laughed multiple times. Thank you very much! Keep up your great work. 🙏🙂
Still very early days in my journey to healthier habits, but just having a 12 hour fasting window has helped a lot in cutting down my gastric reflux symptoms. Thanks Dr Pal
I really love the way you give advice dr pal❤❤
Timely video Dr. Pal !! Much appreciate your videos and knowledge sharing ☺️🙏
I used to have acid reflux back in India and that used to be really painful . This stopped completely after I moved to the US. I figured out that tamarind especially if cooked for a while caused problems for me. It stopped after coming here as I didn’t eat too much of tamarind cooked food. I still eat Sambar and rasam as I love them but just go a little easy on the tamarind and east it during the day time. Thank god I haven’t had any heartburn in the last 15 years.
Really ?
Yes, sour food items can trigger GERD symptoms. I think we all should see for ourselves what works for us using the trial and error method. 👍🏼
Being a patient of GERD and Hpylori ,what things trigger my heartburn were excess spice , carbonated drink , tea and coffee , deep fried food, food containing maida like biscuits cookies , bottled pickle
And what used to give me relief are Avipattikar churan , cool water , homely plane food , carom seeds too

Thank you doctor well explained
I was waiting for this one from you @Dr Pal. Thanks a lot Sir. I have been diagnosed with GERD 10 years ago. The frequency got to reduced recently after doing aerobic, early eating compared to older me. Pregnancy belly fat reduction is in progress. ❤
Hey, what's aerobic?
Hey I am glad that you are doing good....how was your pregnancy experience with GERD?
Stuffing myself with food that's spicy / excess food or skipping dinner completely resulted in Gerd for me. One point doctor keeping stomach empty also caused Gerd. Hope I am right.
I totally agree eating small portions and avoiding wrong food and sleeping after 2 hours of eating helped correct that for me.
Does empty stomach also cause Acid reflux pls tell🙏🏻
Thank so you so much for the amazing information :)
I have been suffering from GERD and acid reflux issue since a year or more...
Have been watching all your videos including beer biceps and the one with Traya... Amazing information.
Pls keep putting more videos and kind of a diet plan for GERD.
Love you so much for sharing this doctor. I'm 32 years old mother of 1. I had worst heartburn during my pregnancy at age 27. It just continued there after and worsened my symptoms at age 31. I had endoscopy due to loss of appetite, weight loss and severe upper stomach pain most of the time immediately after food and night is just worst for me as the pain just elevates to back and shoulders. I get pain for almost everything before and now kind of controlled after medication and lifestyle changes. I never drink coffee, tea, no much deep fried, no spice, less salt, mostly home food despite I have chronic gastritis. Also I have gallstones which was diagnosed during Ultrasound. I'm keeping myself away from almost everything. I close my dinner at 7.
What medication u have gone through?? I have severe heartburn but endoscopy results came nrml .. they gave me antidepressants 😢

I have been having heartburn since I was 16, now I'm 25. All I could realise is my body is bit sensitive to spicy food, so I cut down on it, I never smoked or consumed alcohol. I even started having palaya sorru once a week recently. Eating early, consuming sufficient water and hot water before bed have a good impact too. Eating less acidic fruits like Apple, Guava, butter fruit helps too. Especially not taking a nap right after meal is very helpful.

Hello Dr. Pal, for over a year, I've been sticking to restricted time eating by watching your videos and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including running and workouts from many years. The positive change I've noticed is a reduction in my cholesterol levels. However, I've been experiencing consistent burping. No heart burning, especially when stressed or after certain foods, despite consulting top Gastroenterologists and undergoing various tests, including endoscopy. I'm curious why I am getting this as I have flat stomach and clean eating habits, doing work outs, no smoking or drinking
Mee too having the same problem!!
Even I have constant burping. A doc said that I have GERD & that's the reason for excessive burping & loud noises from stomach.
Me too …I think we have to increase probiotics
I've experimented with probiotics and occasionally taken supplements, focusing mainly on consuming fermented foods, yet I haven't noticed significant changes. Despite adhering to Dr. Pal's advice on maintaining a healthy diet and habits at around 95%, the issue persists. I suspect there may be factors beyond our dietary choices and lifestyle
@sreenivasulanaidu7062 yeah you are probably right!!
Some things that help me are eating fruits regularly & avoiding maida in general. Also, I have stopped lying down or sitting for long periods of time immediately after eating. Like you said, these habits do help but the underlying issue still exists😅
Hi doc !! I started intermittent fasting by seeing your videos and had dinner mostly before 6 30 pm for almost a week. But I had severe chest pain and even found that it was due to gastitis and acid reflux . Can you suggest some remedies for gastritis while following intermittent fasting ??
Hi sruthi ! I have the same problem . I've been facing the same issue here .I tried to do intermittent fasting did for a week and couldn't keep up with it due to burning sensation in stomach . I think people who have this issues , we need to take our food on time . try to adjust your eating window .. have your dinner at 8 and the in next morning you can have your first meal at 10 or 11 .
Great information. I've had heartburn for a long time. Recently I've improved my diet eating more healthy whole foods and no fast food or soft drinks. I also started eating saukraut every once in a while because I heard some fermented foods can be good for your gut. I've also started fasting like 17/7 and walking an hour a day. A month later I've lost 10 pounds and my heart burn is not gone, but it's MUCH better. Hoping to lose more (much more actually) and have the heartburn go away!
Thank you @DrPal for spreading the information. Please create more videos on GI topics.
Dr pal missed one point here. Stress tops in the list of reasons for heartburn. Extreme stress will do it one day or the other.
That's right. Chronic stress messes up the gut brain axis which results in all sorts of gut related issues even in those individuals who don't have much belly fat. Stress has become more prevalent after the pandemic than ever before. So we all should pay attention to our physical as well as mental health because they both are interlinked. 👍🏼

This is absolutely a gem of a video! The best thing is that you are also suggesting ways to prevent Gerd or heartburn which are doable.
Thanks a lot Dr Pal for uploading these extremely informative and helpful videos!!
Finally i got the answers of the whole questions in my mind Thank you so much
I had severe heartburn during all times of the day and it occurred daily, especially at night time :( irrespective of the food I had which resulted in a painful sore throat. Even after I finished my 3 meals of the day, this heartburn was forcing me to eat something late at night to lower the irritation caused by it. But now following one of your videos I started doing the 16:8 intermittent fasting technique and surprisingly within 2 days I could experience a lessening of the frequency of my heartburn and I feel so relieved. Thanks, Dr Pal :)
Well I think this is one of the most complicated disease on the planet and the symptoms varies widely person to person.
I am doing doing literally each and everything that Dr Pal is saying but still I do get heartburns, however the intensity is little less. Got done endoscopy, nothing found, dr just said some h pylori, given medicine, for 2 month, took medicine, nothing really changed. Have lost good weight, tried IF, still I take my dinner at 6. Not sure if i am getting rid of it sooner 😢
If you research further, you will be amazed to know that it could happen due to less acid in stomach as well.Dr Berg, a famous youtuber doctor says to include betain hcl with everymeal so that when you have proper acid, your gate works well .But I am not sure how to know which version of acidity you have, high acid or low acid😅
Dr Pal, please cover the long term effects of PPI and acid suppressants, whether these should be taken or not. Role of stress and sleep in GERD.
Am also trying to figure about whether am having low acid or high acid.. Baking soda method is in YT.. But am afraid to try it, cause I always woke up with heavy chest pain at mornings 😢
That was so informative. Thank you so much.
Loved to watch your video and understand properly.
I don't have belly fat. But I still have heart burn.
Try high acidic foods
Conclusion:: Reduce belly fat 😮
A hearty thank you very informative
Thanks a lot, doc 😊
Your video eased my heart burn/acid reflux pain as I was watching it lol. Great content!
Thank you Dr. Pal for sharing this. I had the issue of reflux and heartburn for long period of time. After number of tests, the doctor have suggested to reduce milk consumption. I have switched to Oat milk apart from morning tea and it has worked since then. 😊
I am getting heart burn frequently from more than 7 years also having 2 nd stage of fatty liver i am 34 years old i believe stress and less amount sleep also the reason. Now i startes intermediate fasting and also eat cucumber when i felt heart burn. Now so many changes on my symptoms
More information on GERD will help. I do experience the symptoms but only when I lie down. Please keep making this type of content

On very time I watched ur video
Thank you Sir for such an informative session. 🙏
Y are a blessing to human kind sir, u make things so understanable 🙌🙌
Was taking Omeprazole like candy to control few years ago.. stopped coffee, spicy and fried food. it was a 14 oz latte most days and spice level was like 4*.. cutting down on these have really helped.
With IF and TRE lost close to 95 lbs and my life hasn’t been better since.. with a recent Physical my PCP who has known me for 17 yrs was i have never seen any of yours numbers near perfect. Watching Priya’s video late last yr, it really inspired me and gave me the confidence that I too can do this. have moved to OMAD/20-4 IF since 2023 and i take one black coffee most days and occasionally eat 2* spice level and don’t have any problems.. i am happy with 2*. I am bit flexible when we have special occasions but will still follow TRE.
The key for all this is having a strong motivation factor and for me that is my 4.5 yrs old daughter and i want to be there for there and absolutely control the controllable!!
Recently I spoke with one of my best friend in India and saw her picture. She was so groomed and lost weight. She is gonna get married. When I asked if she is doing a weight loss, she said she has brought some discipline in eating and started following Dr.pal. 😮it’s so nice to hear dr. impacting lifestyle of others😮

Hello Dr
making sure to watch atleast 1 vdo of urs in full volume everyday and share in wp status in public. That apart it influenced me to complete family dinner before 8 most days and trying for 7 pm dinners. Some nights it goes beyond 9-10 then cudnt cut the dinner altogether but eat only 25% of regular portion & wait for min 1.5 hrs before sleep. Your vdos are eye opener and brought in lifestyle changes in my family as well as my relatives bcos when we get together our first talk will be to wind up kitchen bcos Dr Pal has told to do so. You are a virtual dr in all the families now as if looking at us thru phone camera... Meaning to say ur vdos have created that kind of consciousness.
We are strict veges by community no smokers, no alcohol.
But please make a vdo as how stress like losing loved ones, work pressure or fear, anxiety board exam stress all will trigger or affect the weight and stomach. In my experience i have found stress was main cause of obesity and has increased laziness (laazzziiiii)
Am giving a detailed comment bcos if you can addres this in your vdos many will be benefited.
Ooh boi, this is a crazy informative one for me. I used to get heart burn right after eating Onion and some oily foods. Its so annoying. Now i follow your weight loss advice and it does help me big time. I eat very less too.

1. On eating banana I get heartburn but I had no issues when I was younger. My mother had the exact same symptoms. So is this hereditary?
2. If we follow intermittent fasting then how can we consume smaller meals?
