I saw this video 10 days ago. I am thin, exercise, don't smoke. But the last few times I went to my doctor my BP was about 140-150/80. I did not want to go on meds. So after watching this video, I began eating just 3 meals a day between the hours of 9AM and 7PM. I just returned from my doctor's office and my BP was 124/60. I can't believe it. Thank you Dr. Pal.

When you go to the doctor he gives you drugs, because he doesn’t have time to ask about your diet or give advice about it. Doctors are not properly trained to understand the link between nutrition and disease. This is why we need doctors on UA-cam to explain these things to us.

Took out carbs completely from my diet. Ate a lot of fruit, bananas pears etc. and walked for not less than an hour a day. Today my average reading is 112-120/70-80. Thanks, Dr Pal. Dr.Pal , thank you very much for the improvement that i have now. i have already posted two times in your channel. i had four problems and now i have come out of the two problems which are( 1)high cholesterol and (2)prediabetic .i have started my intermittent fasting (14 hours ) on march 15th , that is almost 2 months. yesterday i took the tests of lipid profile and HbA1c. in January my total cholesterol was 220, triglyceride 102, LDL157 , HDL 43. now it is total cholesterol 150.6, triglyceride 65.7, LDL 87.6, HDL 49.9. HbA1c 5.5. only from your ezhundiru Anjali ezhundhiru dialogue, i understood about the work of the insulin and followed strict fasting. 10 years back my BP problem started and it was 150/90 and took medicine then two years back i stopped medicine thinking it won,t be a problem without checking my BP but when i went to the doctor for cosultation on 2021 it was 150/90, and some times 166/94. then started medication but till now it,s increasing only, 170/100. then only i started my fasting and 15 days back i checked my BP and it was 150/100. as i have all the results for the past ten years i could see my cholesterol was gradually increasing. and another problem is not having good sleep. now i could see little improvement in it also. now the good things that i feel are 1) food cravings gone, 2)feel very light and brisk. though i make murukku, sweets in the house i don,t feel eating eat it. now i am 75 , i thought my improvement will help others also.Once again thank you very much.

    • @BollywoodBonanzaB
      @BollywoodBonanzaB Місяць тому

@niluferermete1934 No it doesn't mean that! - Intermittent Fasting is not only necessary, it is naturally done when we sleep. It is hard to do at first, so start with 6 hours and eating clean, and slowly increase it to 12 hours. You will begin to notice that you don't feel that hunger anymore. It is not bad for blood pressure at all. You will start to listen to your stomach and actually eat when your brain tells you you need fuel, not just when you see something you like (that is my biggest challenge!). These false cravings, and "food noise", really do stop after a while.

Dear Pal, I was having high BP ranging around 150/100 to 175/110, after doing lot of iterations I understood eating after 6 pm and consuming coffee or tea with or without sugar, eating white rice was also the reason for my high BP. After finishing my dinner before 6 pm and not having anything except water until 10:00 am next day and maintaining this fasting window for about 16 hours has helped my BP to fall below 120/80. Also, I'm fasting on water for 24 hrs. on one particular day in a week every week, and also including brown rice, millets and good amount of fruits and veggies has helped my BP to improve. After changing diet and following these fasting methods, my blood pressure is always less than 120/80 and I'm very happy I don't have to worry about any other potential complications. thanks for your videos. keep educating us.

I got amazing result after following this teaching.
Honestly i have never seen my BP down to 120/80 ever since i was diagnosed of BP since 2014. I'm currently on four medications since July this year. I'm talking Anlodipine, Lisinopril, Bisoprolol, and clopidogrel.
My next appointment with my doctor is 6th December.
After listening to this lecture,i started 12hrs for 1wk,then 16hrs for the second wk, and 18hrs for the 3rd wk.
After checking my BP, it was 119/74. Very amazing to me for the first time. In the following week,no more fasting, but my BP was 116/74.
I'm feeling very relieved from all the stress and anxiety. But my purse is still between 85,90,80.
    Despite the bisoprolol 1.5 mg.
So i hope the doctor can reduce my medication in our next meeting.
Presently, I'm still doing another 16/8 hrs fasting bcos i feel it's good for my health and I'm enjoying it coupled with workout.
But i change my drug time to noon, that's after breaking my fast.
    Very amazing experience

This is great info. Try a meal plan with fasting, it works!. I'm 71. About 2 months ago my doc put me on a 2 meal schedule with strict fasting in between, along with few or no carbs. My diet was already good, and I focused on food order, with vinegar. I also started doing the 3 minute nitric oxide workout 3 times a day, a bit of breathing and hibiscus tea. I went to the doc today. After being low normal, my BP had gone up to 128 creeping into the 30s. Today my official number is 100/70. My doc was very happy. What a burden lifted off. Try this way of eating.

Sharing my experience. I’ve been on keto + one meal a day (OMAD) for 7 months. I take only dinner (keto). I don’t feel any hunger at all. It’s really fascinating to see how the body adapts. (Of course, I have some cheat days. But I get back on track quickly). I feel more healthier than ever! From my experience, I can say the popular 3 meal a day concept is a myth! The food industry wants more profits.

@@muthiurrahman3207 Honestly, our body does not need snacks. We usually mis-read food cravings as hunger. I’m no doctor but craving is psychological, whereas hunger is biological. Eating snacks is the main reason the body constantly produces insulin. And the extra Insulin triggers hunger and we eat food, which in turn triggers more insulin. This sets in a vicious cycle, leading to insulin resistance.

Great video as always, thanks Dr.Pal.
For me, if my stomach is not full, I get Higher BP readings. Fasting spikes my BP. I'm thin and underweight.
Also I'm not entirely convinced that insulin resistance is the CAUSE of hypertension. Every male relative on my father's side had hypertension, often uncontrolled because they would skip medicines but no one ever got diabetes. My father's blood sugar was always normal in spite of sky high BP. But they were all type A personalities like me, prone to fits of anger.
Another distant female middle aged family member has pre diabetes, overweight and grade 1 fatty liver, but is never stressed or angry and her BP is always a steady 115/75.
My own sugar levels are perfect and cholesterol is outstanding but I'm unable to de-stress and control my BP. Averaging 140/90 during the day and hitting close to 150/100 in the evening. Im in middle age and nothing is helping : aerobic exercise, deep breathing, isometric, hibiscus tea, low salt - tried everything. I believe this is "essential hypertension" and the only solution is the damned drugs which I pushed off so long.
Perhaps there is more to hypertension than insulin resistance. Thanks for listening - appreciate a response
