If you've got an ACV/AJT 2.5tdi engine in yours the same thing happened to me. The slave cylinder however is concentric and if its leaked you'll need a new clutch. I had mine done a few weeks back but bought a clutch and flywheel assembly as its typically cheaper.
Hello mate mines a 1.9tdi from an audio 80. The gearbox and clutch is vw t4. And I believe it was a 1.9 before. I'm going to try the slave cylinder as if I end up doing full clutch I will replace it anyway as I've already done the master 🤟🤟
It's a bit tricky. I would definitely advise using a power bleed kit. And make sure you bleed from all bleed nipples, the locations are in the vid. With the right tools and a bit of patience you'll be fine 🤙🤙 thanks for watching
I’ve just replaced my slave cylinder, fairly easy job but the fluid had leaked onto the clutch plate, it’s taken about 2 months for the annoying clutch judder to mostly go away 😅
@@valhallavw it’s often a best guess on clutch hydraulics if it’s not something obvious, she’s doing ok for an old van, tempted by some ebc yellow stuff pads next time I have her in the air though as brakes are questionable. I’m fairly sure my old slave cylinder was the original, so at 30 years old and 360k miles I’m going to be writing a letter to vw to complain 😆

Is the clutch easy to bleed on a t4? Mines currently crunching gears and hard to get in gear even when at stand still
